I don't know what do you do, but let me explain!!
      Without copying, nobody learns anything.
If you want be an excellent playwright in English, you are required to study Shakespeare's.
If you want to be an great artist, you are asked to "Master copy" of great artists like Rambrandt, Leonardo, Vermeer etc.
For engineers and scientists "Reverse engineering". Examples - Congreve Rockets (origin- Tipu, copier- British), Nuclear reaction, space rockets (originally Germans, copier Americans and Russians), Tanks (Origin- British, copiers - the rest of the world).
Even in medicine, the best of plastic surgery "Rhinoplasty" techniques and several others are from "Sushruta Samhita".
So, without copying, we learn nothing; we advance nothing.
Advancement, developments are based on the works of our predecessors.
If you get time, please read "The copyright Act", which itself acknowledges that violation of copyright can not be too strictly followed for it will hamper innovation and advancement of humanity.

The instability of the river forming braids is the single most important reason. It changes its course every now and then because of huge siltation. And in geography you could have explained the saucer shape of Assam, surrounded by hills on all 3 sides. If something is done, it should be done comprehensively, not fot the sake of doing. Cheers.

In my research, the worst impact of the flood of Brahmaputra valley was due to the 1954 earthquake which leads to the rise of 3 meters of the river bed.

Hello, I am from Guwahati, Assam and worked for flood relief since a long time.
It is true that Assam is a worst victim of flood every year but the main reason for the occurrence of flood is not mentioned here.
