Hey Demi! When both Singtel Dashpet and Singlife were available, I opted for Dashpet due to the higher rate (think it was 1.7% p.a. on first $10K, then 1.2% p.a. for above $10K). However, as it was the first account where I started properly saving, my emergency funds hadn't accumulated to $10K or close to it yet (put in the minimum few hundred dollars every month as I saved along when I first started my policy), and the saving process was at a slower rate due to other financial commitments. I didn't gain the maximum amount of interest that I could to hit $10K before the first policy year ended, which they then revised the rate to 0.7% p.a. ☹ Still higher than POSB at 0.05% p.a. so I won't cancel the policy completely, but I am planning to shift over the first $8.5k I've saved up in Dashpet (while maintaining minimum amount to qualify for interest) to Singlife and will see how I can plan the additional $500 of expenses on the card to earn as much interest as I can.
Once I hit $10K (do you have any clue if the rate qualifies for exactly $10K, or $9,999?), I will continue to save for my emergency funds at a slower rate while dipping my toes into investment with robo advisors and learning the ropes of stocks, till I hit 6 months worth of income in Dashpet 🙂 That's the short term game plan for now!

I saw in their website, they say that *Note that 1.0% crediting rate is not guaranteed.
does that mean that even u maintain $10,000 untouch throughout, u may not get the 1% p.a. interest and the percentage is fluctuating?
