  • Schlage Everest isn't just an SFIC system. In this video, Uriah discusses the benefits of a standard Schlage Everest system and shows you how to rekey Schlage Everest lock cylinders.
Schlage Everest is a system of keys that include "side-biting" in order to increase the security of your door by making it more lock and bump resistant. The rekey process is very similar, but there are a few small differences and details to look out for.

Great job!Love your videos.Keep up ‘me up!P.S. The C123 is the keyway/blank for the old Everest system, whereas the S123 is for the new Everest 29(And The blanks of latter are backwards compatible with the former).

You answered my question for me without me asking. lol. I was wondering if that key blank was restricted. Well, now i know:-) I was sent a Everest KIK from the states as a gift and retro fits perfectly into a Brave Metro Commercial entrance set and works a charm. Only problem is if i ever lose the key i am screwed. Not an available blank in OZ. They are not the easiest cylinders to pick either. The tolerances are quite good from Schlage. Have a safe one:-)

That's actually pretty cool to hear one's made its way that far, and that it does work for you that well! I would keep that key chained to me at all times too, lol - Randall

He obviously can’t just look at the key and choose the correct pin! What are you smoking? Just gauge the damn key. And this kik would have been done in about 39 seconds. Stop trying to show off an fail on a semi educational video.

Jeff Moss oh ok yes it is restricted... funny you mention that, we are rekeying the whole city of Tomball and all there city owned buildings and that’s what they are currently using on about 25% of their locks. But we got them to change the whole system to a Primus Everest 29 key system Level 7 that will work better for them bc it can be used in many formats. This way they don’t have to replace hardware. Such as LFIC, SFIC, Key in Knob, and Mortise/Rim. Now they can have a master key system. - Uriah
