for those without lanyard loops, if you put one of the green pellets from the case in between the table and the spring end, it should give you enough clearance to push the keeper through
Getting the pin out of the backstrap without the lanyard loop was helped by using the green button in the CZ packaging. Getting the pin back in was rather difficult to say the least... It would have been greatly helped to have something more stable than the green plastic button to apply pressure on the spring
I have no loop but I held the gun sideways with the pin already in the hole. I pushed the spring cover inward with the end of a blue covered channel lock pair of pliers. The pin feel right in to place, with minor adjustment
I do not have a lanyard on my P-07 and it was a little more problem than one with the lanyard. Have a keyboard pullout on my computer desk that has a lip on the front. Used a fold up hex key set and used one of the sizes to plunge against the tab of the firearm and the folded side against the lip of the pull out on the desk. Does not take much force to allow the pin to come out pushing against it.
I saw for the CZ P-10C back strap using a 5/64" pin punch (that three hardware stores in my area don't stock) will work. The Glock Tool is a nice catch.
For anyone trying to do this to their 09/07 that doesn’t have a lanyard I had a hell of a time. Had to lay the gun on a table and push the circle “button” in with a large roll pin punch. Once I got it into place my fiancé poked the the retaining pin from out of the grip and the back strap slid right off. Would be pretty hard to do with one person.
Just took me 25 minutes to do by myself. Its definitely a job for 3-4 hands, not two, but i managed to get the small backstrap on. If youre doing this alone, please wear safety glasses. All in all, the P07 is a fantastic pistol and i highly recommend it.
There was some sort of trick photography involved, because it is *no where* this easy to change the backstraps. Especially on the P07. I needed two glock tools: one to apply constant pressure on my hammer spring cup, and one to push the pin through.
Oh come on. Mine doesn't have the lanyard either so I used the barrel hone that came with it to push on the spring and the Allen wrench it came with to push put the pin. Come on. Be creative
Probably should have looked this up before placing it sideways on the block and sending the cap and spring flying across the room. Nothing like a 30 minute search for changing a piece that should have taken me 60 seconds.
yours must be a newer model, they stop shipping them with Lanyard loop. People did not like for looks and snagging. It comes handy when you change back strap and you don't change it often.
i don't think I've ever seen any back straps or side panels that didn't need any kind of tool to be changed. If you (or anyone else) actually know of any, i would like to know, because id like to know how they work
No yackety-yack, no stupid intro with music, just showing what people want to see. Thanks!
The absence of noise, "music" to some, was refreshing!

The replaceable soft primers for the dummy round?
Yes, correct
The baseplate of a mag is way easier.
Just picked up P-07 today. That backstrap pin is a PAIN to put back in!
You should try CZ P-10C backstrap 🤣 it's real painful to change them.

Great video! You should do a part 2 for the mag release
Thank you 🙏 Unfortunately I sold this pistol.

I just read this, I was literally about to throw the gun across the room. Went and grabbed my needle nose and boom. 🙏🙏🙏🙏👌🌟

Now I just lost everything.... Fuck this shit should have never taken it apart
Great vid, right to the point
Yay. I just found the main spring i lost a year ago trying this.
@@georgeburnett358 nice to hear 😆 stay tuned 🤣

Dean Robbins I tried it for 2 minutes left it alone after leaving a scratch. Wrong tools I guess.

Matt C2083 use a huge clamp. Clamp down the hammer spring cup push through easy as that

Man, I cannot get my pin out for the life of me. I push down on a flat surface and push the pin , but it only moves about an eighth of an inch
Would have been great to mention that you need to hold that spring down instead of just tapping on it because it just took a flight to the moon.
Best yet
Just got mine...thank you!
Nice to hear that video helped you 👍😊
mine does not have the lanyard to push down onto. It is flush
So do I. This is just great Im SO glad that that this is hard as shit and this....troll makes it look so easy.
Use one of the green inserts that came with your snapcaps to put pressure on the bottom of the spring.
Shot mine across the room, then struggled for 30 min getting it back together, all just to find out I like the original backstrap best. 🙄

Perfect, thank you!
Great Video!! Thank you
U make that look so easy. That black thing is giving me hell.
Mine didn't come with lanyard loop..did you buy yours or did it come with?? I can't find one anywhere for my p09!

Same.... not sure how to do this without it. Any ideas?
thanks!
Mine has a lanyard post and it was as simple as the video. It would be a lot harder without it.

Maybe you push too hard! You don't need to press it all the way down..
I can't get the god damned thing back together.
i own an 07 and an 09...This should have been tooless design

@@AudyT97 SW My MP-2 has the key inserted in the bottom of the grip that releases the panel. Really clever design
Thanks!
