Bringing comedy to my day buddy. Glad you’re recovering well. Snares sound great! Just got my first acrolite the other day. $20!!! Guy didn’t know what he had.. 😎 thanks for this video
You are a trip! At first I just thought you were nuts. But I see a method to the madness or madness to your method. Whatever...Bottom line...Sounds fantastic!
14:27 was when it really killed me and nearly took me down from my chair with beefyness of the base drum, something that used to be delivered by Bonzo himself so richly to our everlasting pleasure of a happy hearing. These are the things that give and will give me shivers down my spine, aaaaaaarrgghhh that good!! :) Haha! . . . EDIT!:: OH AND A GTBT @ THE END WOW!! :p
Great drum's, a go to sound which rarely let you down. I recently got hold of a early 62' serial number, 3xxx. Has some pitting to the chrome but sounds great. A thoroughbred among Ludwig snare drums, it's a 14x5 so not exactly in the same family as you're outlining in the video. Great video as per. Thanks.
Thats actually exactly where in the vicinity I installed my homemade tone control. a couple lugs from the top, because that where your least likely to strike it, plus i looked a t picture lol..
@@bonzoleum Thanks. Man I love your videos. Took lessons from Phil Stanger also. Just started "trying" to play again. The vids are very helpful and entertaining.
I counted it as 10/8 , but it’s a fu.. jolly good riddim nonetheless ! As an idea to mull over , I wonder if the tone controls of yore contributed to the classic tones which we struggle to recreate with the (better) modern drums ..... Just a thought , have a good evening y’all 👏🙂
T! I just tuned up my 6.5”x14” Tama Metalworks snare. Nickel over chrome? Brass? Uhh.. anyways. I have Remo Control sound on top and Diplomat bottom. Followed your tutorials then checked with my Drum Dial. Top head was sitting at : 81 Reso head was sitting at: 84
Terry ..did you say you had an operation for your tremors? I'm starting to get them too and having trouble playing Bonham now...What procedure did you have done?
Hey thank you for teaching me this. The I got the pattern a couple days ago, but while I was taking a shit I had an idea for more patterns, and the moment I played them I was so excited I got the phone out and recorded! You can hear me laugh at the end, because it's the very first time I've done three of the six patterns here. So thanks for that, and I also recently got over the hills from you too, so that's fun. Plenty more to go! Since I can play them all on other instruments and sing the parts, maybe I'll figure out a way to record full-on covers, all by myself. *edit: I've only had drums for ninety days. I could keep a beat before, but I'm learning fast so thank you for the abundance of riches. ruclips.net/video/VDEqn9-jwY8/видео.html
If you have ten drum keys and four bandmates, then you'll have one hand per tension rod and everyone tunes in unison your drum head will have even tension. I thought of it first. Patent pending!
"... in the Crungeberg". just to say, I've been using this phrase after people tell me something the last week or so. Thanks Terry
LOL i heard the first time he said, You like that, then Terry did it over and over again lol... Ohhh, You like that!

Another excellent video Terry, thank you ......and love the 'TK shuffle' at 16.00!

Imagine getting dementia or Alzheimer's and only being able to recognize and play Bonham beats.
Still a life worth living
Some of those beats are impressive for healthy people, let alone people with Alzheimer's
Sounds like a great way to go out
Best way to practice when nothing else works, pretend your Bonham! The only fan I have lately is bugs and lizards!
It would be really cool if you could do videos on how Bonzo comes up with his grooves. He really plays off jimmy and John Paul really well

Love the faces !!!! LOL it makes the drums sound great 👍

Lmfao!!!
When I watch one of your videos all I have to do is hold on to the rope.
Drums are sounding saaaaaweeeeeeeeet!!! 😎🥁🎼🎵🎶
Scared Hitless…. Love that shirt.
Happy New Year, Throw!!

Is it happening?

Terry ..did you say you had an operation for your tremors? I'm starting to get them too and having trouble playing Bonham now...What procedure did you have done?
I haven't- Beta blockers don't work for me, but they may work for you-ask your doctor. Stay well!
Your the Pope!!!!🤗
The short beat right at the 18:08 sounded really Bonhamesh, the tuning is right in there.
Awesome! Just as an aside, what size of VF sticks do you generally use?
I've been using the KEITH MOON model. I like it's just-under 16" length. Thank you, Jimi!
@@bonzoleum The keith moon sticks are the best drum sticks i've ever played! Great and affordable and give the best sound and feel in my opinion :D
The Vic Firth 5b extreme nylon tips are nice, just bought 2 pair.
Good
Whats up with the bottom head Terry?
Yeah be good to see it done from both heads loose rather than being almost there already
hay terry do you rememer me? pls make bass drum and hand separate lesson pls
Dude, the 1890’s called. They want their hairdo back. 😂
Do you mean the 1980s? The 1890 guys are all over the place with their MINER LOOK.
new camera terry?
Hi Chris-no it's the same Nikon D3300 but I moved it closer, and I have some compression on the sound.
sweet, it’s looking nice!
The Genesis Crunge lol
4:35 Gavin harrison?
Is the tone control you mentioned those stupid dampeners that came on my older lm401?
Yes sir!
bonzoleum I’ve had so many issues with those things, I just remove them. Are they worth it in your opinion?
Yes-if you put epoxy just under the metal washer holding the felt it'll make it quiet.

I just started wearing glasses about a year ago. And I can't stand it. Did that lasik surgery work for you ? You must be farsighted then ?
Yes-lasik is great, but yes you go from being very nearsighted to needing readers.
Did you take your medicine before this video
Joe, Very inappropriate comment.
