Tom Ellis, for me, is the next Tom Hanks. He can do anything and he has the voice of an angel.

Honestly for a character with not many scenes, Tom depicted the journey from eligible bachelor to self-absorbed douche brilliantly. Tom is a stellar actor, loved him from Lucifer!

You think he was a self absorbed douche? Seriously? He was what he was. She was the selfish shallow douche who got her panties in a wad when he did not like her writing. She dumped him over that.

@@Kiu2672 Never saw Nick as a douche. And i am quite calm. The fact you saw his character as a douche says more about you.

I enjoyed the interview very much. Good questions were asked and I always love hearing Tom‘s insightful answers. Nick really was a douche 😄 But I am happy to see Tom on screen again and can’t wait for his other projects!

Great interview, very interesting to hear nuances about creating the character etc. I know practically nothing about backstage of acting job. Thank you for detailed and specific question.

Tom didn’t have too much screen time tbh, but he still managed to show us what Nick was about. In each scene we learn something new about Nick’s character. My favorite scenes where the concert scene where Nick decided Mack deserves a proper date, the fish brunch scene, and the break up scene where we see he really is worse than we thought. I still liked Nick despite all that.

How was he worse? He was never pretending to be something else like her.

There was never genuine compatibility. She was fake from the get-go she pretended to be what he liked. He was who he was. I did not actually see it as a bad thing that Nick never watched Star Wars.
Funny that l never saw Nick as full of himself. He had a different life experience to these young immature 'players'.
Tom was great. The players' actors played their roles well as l could not respect what they did for kicks.
Cannot fathom people who think it is okay to basically lie to get laid or need help to get laid!
. Guess l am old fashioned.

Tom must have made that film players for money because it's a mediocre role for a man of his talent.
He is one of the best actors of his generation if not the best and he should be doing something more worthy.
That's what happens to English actors when they move to america - they do something good and interesting and afterwards is one indifferent role after another until their talent is wasted into nothingness, forever playing second fiddle to the natives. It has happened with so many actors. It seems that now he is going to work with his wife, probably another pot boiler in which he is the stupid one. He should be doing theatre. No one could have played Lucifer like him. He was absolutely brilliant, the very best. If he is not careful, especially now, that he is talking with an american accent and has gone woke, he will lose his Soul and that will be really sad.

Horrible movie. Shame on Tom for taking that role. He's such a versatile actor. After shining on 6 seasons of Lucifer ... what a step down. 😢

Come on, it is a job and there is no shame on doing different types. There is no need to be always main character or take only top of the top.
