I never get tired of listening to interviews with Tom Ellis. He always adds a little something extra to each one. It wouldn't have been easy playing both parts. He did play Michael very well though. It's a credit to him for sure. Congrats Tom on a awesome portrayal of both characters. You are right to go with your instincts you are always on the button 😈💜
This is one of the best interviews I have seen with Tom Ellis. The magic lies in the well thought out questions the interviewer posed and the time given for Tom to truly discuss the theories and logic behind what gets put on screen. What a deep dive into #Lucifer and his brilliant cast. The musical discussions are so relatable. Thanks for this gem.

Please someone tell Tom that fans want to see him in other shows, movies also after he is done with Lucifer. I dont want him to think that we wanted to see him only as Lucifer and that we won't want him being cast as anyone else, because he made Lucifer character what it is because of his talent and we all will cherish such talent in all of his works.
And again: brilliant interviewer - great questions - comfortable atmosphere for the actor, who is taken serious and answers the questions seriously - a lot of informations one does not get from other interviews - so: thank you again!!

What a great interview. Talking in a serious manner about the creative side of Lucifer. Very refreshing. Thank you for making this so available for us fans to hear. Not too light hearted. Very informative. Humour is a very important part of lucifer as is drama & romance it has many layers to it. Tom explains this so well. The creativity is so bloody good.

I missed a question about the song he sang as Lucifer with Ella on Dan's funeral, that was so emotional she in Spanish and he english, then they take each others hand... I cried my eyes out! 😘

THANK YOU, Tom. Music is my second language as well. Like your mother, I was also a music teacher (high school band and choir); as such, you’d think my bosses and colleagues would clue in. Yet, only a few who had music training in their backgrounds did. Now that I’ve retired, the district has no viable music program at all. Drives me bonkers.
Very enjoyable interview by Mara, with Tom Ellis. I just love Lucifer - it's so much more than a story about ''celestials'', heaven & hell etc. The breadth of themes explored in the series is wonderful - family relationships, emotional growth, redemption, love, friendships and more. The development and journey of the characters and storyline has connected quite profoundly with my humour, emotions and spirit.

I picked up on a lot of the details between Michael & Lucifer. I LOVE that in episode 2, Chloe picks up on all the differences. My brilliant detective. 💖💖💖

There's an internal conflict of Lucifer of being loyal to what's right and being loyal to the people that he loves. It might sound like the same thing but it's not. It's painful when I personally do the right thing for myself and others and then encountering the pain and confusion that came from that.
It's because I had to be loyal to the highest good apart from acceptance from people is my only hope for acceptance and love. That's the burden of leadership. That's the pain of voluntarily accepted leadership. That's how I see Lucifer.
For example, if there was a new Lucifer without the pain and damage to his soul like the old Lucifer, then the challenge of the new Lucifer would be to work towards his best interests and the best interests of the old Lucifer and to outwit the envy and pain of the old Lucifer, who's more than likely blinded by his old pain.
Much more interesting interview than any I've seen!

How ive outsmarted my past Lucifer selves is ive always had a consistent weakness that does me no harm. Ive always been bitter and cynical about the sin nature of others that have left me open to never being surprised by the sins of others. So I focus on the beauty of having fun in life. Fun really is the one thing thats true rebellion that actually saves a soul. It says my humanity is beautiful in and of itself and doesnt need good works or philanthropy to prove it. A human perfect form invites the heaven already inside a person to become clear. Allows the destined heaven to rise, because perfection already exists perfectly as human. Just ask Mozart.
Only beauty tends to surprise me. And i mean single beautiful souls that have insight into my game that inspired devotion.
