You ladies probably don't know this, but the sound effect of the nunchucks Ruckus was using was referenced from the 70s Bruce Lee movie Enter The Dragon. Boondocks creator Aaron McGruder is a big fan of classic asian kung-fu and samurai movies that he does multiple references to them throughout the show.
To be honest I'm surprised the movies are still in business. Grandpa brings up valid points. The way I see it, All you need is surround sound and a big screen TV with the movie you want to see.. At home you can have all the snacks you want and pause the movie when you want to go on a bathroom break or get more snacks. Plus you don't have to worry about multiple people distracting and you missing parts of the movie as a result. Even if a few people do distract you, just rewind the movie...lol
@@BennyBlancoNLMovies aren't that great. It's an overrated experience if you ask me. Everything you can do in the movies you can do at home with more options, less interruptions and more comfort, cheaper prices
Seeing some movies in theaters is a completely different experience than seeing it at home… I use to feel the same as you until I worked at a movie theater for a couple years. There’s a good vibe when a highly anticipated movie is released. Then the movies have super high tech sound systems that make the it an experience as well as the size of the screen, then that just multiplies with IMAX.
Hey Helwa "Happy Thursday". I hope you two day is going well. This was a good episode for the first episode of season 2. The Huey vs Ruckus fight was great. Riley and Granddad sneaking the movie theater without paying was hilarious. But anyway I hope you two have a wonderful day. Stay safe, take care and stay amazing.
I learned my lesson, went to the movies for the first time in years with some friends last weekend, a lil ass box of Milkduds, small popcorn, a drink and a pack of sweet tarts came up to $30. Lol, again, i learned my lesson. 😂😂
Cool reaction. The movie they were watching is based on a real movie called Soul Plane with most of the stars mentioned like Snoop Dogg and Monique in the film but without 50 cent. It was seen at the time as being trash so boondocks was making a joke y having them watch Soul Plane 2 with 50 cent who at the time was doing films but critics was saying he couldnt act and his films were trash.
