A hidden absolute gem. BTS has totally forgotten this track exists I swear. But Army never give up or forget it we love it. That such a good track is just so easy to forget for them is ridiculous. 😂💜
@@drentitiit's not that they were confused the song is called 낙원 which means heaven/ paradise so I think JK just didn't recognize the English name of the song
BTS’s lyrics are brilliant, multi-layered, informed and meaningful. There are so many things about these incredible men that set them apart from any other performers and I believe their lyrics are there in the top five, if not, three factors that set them apart.
There was one Vlive Jk did once. Since Paradise doesn’t have a live performance, Army always ask for Paradise when he’s singing live, but he never noticed until he did one time. He was so confused and even said “Paradise? Do we have a song called Paradise?” Lol, it was because he calls it by the Korean name instead of the English name, so he didn’t know what it was until he listened to it. His eyes kind of like up like “…Oh! It’s that one!” Iconic Jk moment lol. He also forgot they have their beautiful song Heartbeat
I'm not lying when I say this song saved my life. I actually was studying my dream course in my dream university In my dream city during the release of this song. But actually i realised that I hated every second of it, my "dream" was a fluke. That dream was my only identity so I lost direction in life and was depressed to the point of me shutting down. When I heard this song back in 2018 I realised that my goals don't define me, and a dream doesn't have to be grandiose. It changed my perspective and BTS became my strength. That year I left uni, came back home, completely rearranged my life and started new path with own perspective. Till this day I love this song and my Bangtan fam.
I love this song so much .. my favourite line in that song is "stop running for nothing my friend" .. sometimes our dreams really become burdens especially if that dream is out of your reach 👍👍👍👍🥰🥰🥰💜💜💜💜💜 John, you will not believe how many times I have said Namjoon is wise beyond his years, he is an old soul for sure 👍🥰💜
I loved that live so much! He sang for ages and screwed up songs and laughed at himself and played around and at one point he hit a high note hard enough to knock himself out of his chair and finished the song on the floor. I think it was that one anyway. I agree with you - seeing him play with his delivery, try things, fool around, have fun with it... It's like watching J-Hope freestyling. A master of the craft having fun with his tools and inviting us to watch.
Hearing ‘Paradise,’ I just had an experience of the sheer genius of these 7 wonderful men and their collaborators. Just mind-blowing. Every song, even ones you think you know, can suddenly explode into a thousand pieces of light…and a realization of just how many creative masterpieces they have already produced. Mind-blown 🤯, but in a great way…🥰. Sorry, lost in admiration…💜
This is hands down my favorite BTS song. It is the song that grounds me when I start to get lost in the cycle of "I'm 34. I should have accomplished more." It reminds me that my life is my own; trying to keep up with other people and running with no destination is pointless. I am exactly where I need to be right now and that's Paradise.
I definitely relate with feeling like my dreams are baggage. I'm a singer/musician but I've struggled to make much of it due to health problems, for YEARS.. but, I'm not giving up! BTS has definitely inspired me to keep going, but also made me not feel too bad for taking a long time.💜
I absolutely love this song and think the entire world needs it's message. I'm in my early 50s and my parents still nag me with, " why don't you do this, don't you want to be that, look at your siblings - they're all doing this..." I've asked them why they can't just be happy that I'M happy. I've never wanted to do things just so they have bragging fodder for their friends. MY dream has been to have a quiet, happy life doing the things that make me happy, not to do what "every one else is doing." I also see a lot of my younger friends struggling with what society thinks they should be doing at whatever age. I hope they learn not to be so pressured. To be easier on themselves, to understand that they don't have to chase grand dreams if those dreams aren't what they truly want.
Wasn’t with Paradise that we were asking Kookie in this live and he was like do we have a song called Paradise? And it was because he didn’t recognize de English name kkkkk so then we finally got him singing it 😅💜
This song still hits me as much as it did the first time I listened to it 💜 I'm always fascinated by dream-driven people like you, because personally I've always struggled with not having a dream and feeling like I had to find or create myself one. As if I didn't have any, I'd just miss an essential part of life. But the pressure that goes with it... Their lyrics are so comforting to me 💜💜💜
its so interesting to me how you called it freedom @ 6:23 cause in my pov ive never had my own dream ive just been pushing along with what others wanted of me until i couldnt handle it anymore and my mental heath was terrible so i dropped out of high school and been lost ever since. to me not having a dream feels like a prison of time and choice to where its been 8 years and im still in the same place i was when i dropped out cause i dont know what to do where to start i have no motivation to even try. so to see you call it freedom made me think about it differently too i hope it starts to feel like freedom soon and i hope you find your freedom too :)
I was just thinking how amazing and wise Namjoon’s explanation of love was and u literally stopped the video and said what I was thinking! I agree 100%! I just love these young and the depth of their music/lyrics! I appreciate you as well for the love and support u show towards them!!! 💜
Thank you for your reaction, John. And thank you for digging out these little gems, there are many of these songs that the guys never did get around to performing live. Every time I see a clip of RM discussing something, I am just blown away by his intellect and wisdom - all hard earned and at such a young age. Truly he is the best leader of any group. Loved JK's vlive - I think those pajamas sold out shortly after. You should react to some of the live sessions the guys do - they're delightful and Jung Kook always sings to ARMY. Another good series to react to would be their In the Soop series - seeing the guys laid back and just enjoying some down time, playing games, painting etc. And singing karaoke and just doing improv runs with silly words like "J-hope woke me up today" but in their gorgeous voices. I loved how V started banging out some chords and everyone chimed in and added little verses and flourishes - and Suga fetched his recording equipment; and that's how they developed the In the Soop theme song.
Paradise gave me comfort when I felt like I was not doing enough in life after leaving a job I was doing so well in. It made me realize that it's okay to stop and rest if you no longer feel peace in what you've been doing. It's okay not to have a dream or ambition for now. Everyday is a blessing.
Another thing that sets them apart I love hearing RM talking about the contributions, gifts and talents of others. You are right. RM is brilliant. So insightful.
Definitely in my top 10. I read it as people are so busy running for that next thing, that next goal, that they don't look at the here and now and appreciate what they already have and be in the moment.💜
This is one of my current favs from them. Love paradise! Also- if you’re not watching jk vlive concerts you’re totally missing out dude! It’s always a good time. 😀💜
I am 34 I have never had a dream that I want to fulfill, I have goals that I want to achieve but not something that I can say this is my dream. For a long time I felt like a failure for not having dreams like everyone else by my side. I felt that something wasn't right with me that wasn't normal, but I learned that it's okay that as long as I'm happy and have a full life, I'm fine. that's what bts helped me the most with and that's why they always don't care if they're active or not, they're going to be in my heart.
You are not alone….I relate to everything you said. I’ve had goals but no real dream. I have a good job….I like it….I wonder if there is something else I may actually love but I have no idea what it would be. I like my job, it affords me a comfortable life. I have great people in my life..:family & friends & my dogs. And it’s enough for me.
I think the same thing happens with "happiness" there are people who seek to be happy but do not realize that happiness is present every day, perhaps not in great things but in simple details, wake up and see that your family is well or have a coffee in the morning, simple things but that make you happy, thanks for the video stay healthy and happy 💜
Love these lyrics. RM and Suga are so wise and I love their speeches and Suga’s interviews too. This band has woken me up from a dream sleep of musicians that have passed on, I appreciate INXS with Hutchence, Queen, Prince, Bowie, and the Doors. They have sustained me for a long while, but my interest has waned because that era is passed, and momentum loses traction for me once a musician has passed. I still pull out DVD collections periodically of Prince and Queen, and some others. I have now started my DVD collections of BTS, and they are so amazing in production. Recommendations are welcome. 💜💜💜💜💜
This song holds a VERY special place in my heart because I have never really had a dream, there have been things I have wanted but nothing that was really a dream per se. I’m a live in the moment type person. My life’s motto is “Do more of what makes you happy and go where you feel the most alive” and this song is telling me exactly that, more or less. I have always been told that I need to figure out that one thing I’m going to do with my life and that has always weighed heavy on me BUT I have always done what I thought was right for myself and what I thought would bring me lasting happiness. Many songs have spoken to me regarding this sentiment but this song in particular really struck a chord and allowed me to fully accept that I don’t have to do some big, grand thing with my life and that if I want to chase small things that bring me happiness then that is OKAY!
That makes so much sense! Honestly I’ve never thought of it that way but I’ve always wondered, I often feel like I seem childish for still having grandiose dreams that I chase constantly, i was for sure asked “what do you want to do with your life” when I was a kid and always answered it with something different than be a doctor or teacher, it was, be a pro skater or singer lol and when I graduated highschool it was like, well how about you have a REAL goal and not a dream. I think your pursuit of happiness is EXACTLY the right path in life any I’m glad this song said it so perfectly.
Here's my personal take on this song. This song can also be applied to once you have achieved you dream. The society tells you to dream bigger but most of the time you're content with the place you're in right now. This happened with me. I worked really hard for my dream job & when I finally got it, before I can even celebrate that, I was already being "encouraged" to dream bigger when in reality after running this marathon of wanting achieve my dream, I just wanted to rest. This song spoke to me so much cuz I would always curse myself for not thinking of dreaming bigger thinking what's wrong with me? Why am I no longer running? This song helped me put things into perspective & that it's okay to not have a dream ANYMORE
I became a BTS fan a few months before this song was released, at that time I was in high school waiting for my final exams before applying to university. As someone with divorced parents 2018 was the lowest point in my life until it felt like I had to make extra effort to even breathe. I used to be a person with big dreams but because of my family's situation, I never had time to walk towards those dreams, naturally I forgot about my dreams and I stopped dreaming. Because I didn't have a dream, my interest in studying also disappeared, but my parents only thought of me as a child who was lazy to study without knowing why it happened. This song was released when I was looking for an excuse to leave my house, leave my hometown, leave my family. But as a child who "didn't like to study", my parents didn't let me study outside the city, because "what for? just a waste of money." I was about to give up my "last dream", because in my heart I knew what my parents said was true, I don't like studying and I don't know what I want to be, so why waste money. then this song released, and i have 1 new "dream". as simple as I want to be free. it was the first time in my 18 years of life, I cried in front of my parents, for them to fulfill my wish to study outside the city. because yes, I don't like studying and I don't know what I want to be, but my desire to be free is also a valid reason. because of that I'm grateful because I met BTS at the right time, because 5 years later after parting ways with my parents our relationship has gotten better. I'm currently in the process of working on my final project and can't wait to finish college and go home to meet my parents again
One of my fav lyrical tracks of BTS. I've learned throughout my life, especially the past few years, that I am OK being a passenger of life and OK with playing a bit part.
Regarding what you said about the freedom of not having a dream 6:20 I wouldn’t necessarily call is "freedom" because from a very young age we’re asked "What’s your dream? What do you want to do in the future?" And these questions never stop! And for those of us that don’t have a dream or know what we want to do, it becomes a burden to us because we feel like we’re missing something or that something must be wrong with us, like "Why don’t I have a dream but all these other people do?" it makes you feel like an outcast. For the longest time I wished I’d had a dream because then maybe I wouldn’t feel as lost or get asked the same questions repeatedly about what I want to do with my life. Having the courage to say "I don’t have a dream" is what I would call freedom and not necessarily the absence of having a dream. I hope that made sense!
I LOVE THIS SONG. A lot have us have begged in lives for Paradise on concert playlist. It is a “slept on song” Their B sides are amazing songs. I think in a run Jimin said they referring to us want to hear this song live. I was talking back to the screen, Jimin what do you mean? Paradise is beautiful. I think we asked RM and he said it was hard to do live. I don’t remember the reason though. I was in that Kookie live. I initially requested Paradise in another one of his lives and more Army followed and he said questioningly Paradise? Oh. He sang some of it. They don’t realize how much we want to hear it live. They learned in a run we also want to see Louder Than Bombs live. The song is reassuring to me rather than sad. #JohnReeves 🙆🏾♀️🫰🏾💜
I don't have a dream. Nothing grand I want to accomplish anymore, I did all I set myself to do by the ageat 19. It is very depressing when you have no more dreams. But Suga was the first to tell it's ok, Jin has the same outlook and I love them for it.
Me encanta esta canción, he pasado por momentos en los que siento que no tengo un sueño o un objetivo, siento que simplemente me dejo llevar por la vida, cuando leí la letra de esta canción para mí dio justo en el clavo 🥺
Speaking of JK's livestream, he just did a live a couple of minutes ago...just because. And he did sing again too. Hehehe! I hope you'll watch their "livestreams" because there are tons of goofiness and chaos there too. Enjoy your BTS journey...for life. 😊
You have to see the bday VLive when JK forgot they had a song called Paradise 😂 Apparently they call it by it’s Korean name and all this time we’ve been begging for it by it’s English name!
I really like this song but when we talk about dreams, my mind cross to the song "So Far Away by Suga ft Jin & Jungkook" Even though original song sung by Suga ft Suran but still I can't ignore BTS version. Here the link. ruclips.net/video/iAea2MN-qyo/видео.html I think they had perform Live but I can't find the link.
I love it! RM is spot on! I think life is more about finding your space, your "corner" where you can be your true self, more than chasing a dream. You may think you want to be famous or a doctor, but what you will be happy with is probably something completely different and ordinary... 😅🫶 And love is so much more than romance. It's our existence, and everywhere, in every relationship, seriously.
JK's life is complete when he can sit with ARMY in his pajamas singing Karaoke!

Let's watch Jk's vlive together in a live.Jk always puts on a concert on his lives, I literally love the fact that he was born to be a singer.
YES!!! I would love that!!
I Love this Song so much ❤❤💜
So happy you reacted to this song 💜 one of my favourite b-sides 🫶🏼
One of my fav lyrical tracks of BTS. I've learned throughout my life, especially the past few years, that I am OK being a passenger of life and OK with playing a bit part.
I love Paradise.
today's my birthday. starting my morning with this💜
Happy Birthday !! I hope your special day is wonderful ! 💜 Borahae💜

JKs adlibs in this song it is insane
Loved that John was literally 🤯 with the lyrics kk 💜
Sorry I missed your twitch
JK was live2 hours ago on weverse FYI
Thanks friend I appreciate you
I LOVE THIS SONG.
That weverse live was on his birthday when Jin popped in lol.
Always Army Love! 🙋🏾♀️🤗💜💞✌🏽🙏🏽
Namjoon and his brain, seriously. I would love to have a conversation with him for hours on end.
Jungkook was having whiskey so it's surprising he still sang for 1.30 hrs 😭
Paradise 😊💜
dont remind me we still don't have live paradise performance, it hurts
Nice, insightful, new song for me. Someone I know has been driven all his life by his "dreams" which I think has stopped him enjoying the moments.
This was my favorite song after i decided to resign from my job. Thank u OT7 for comforting me.
Me encanta esta canción, he pasado por momentos en los que siento que no tengo un sueño o un objetivo, siento que simplemente me dejo llevar por la vida, cuando leí la letra de esta canción para mí dio justo en el clavo 🥺
Wow you show marathon all his karaoke lives kkkk it’ll take days 💜
Bts 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
*****JK is Live on Wverse right now.
This is one of the songs I can sing almost all the way through! In Korean. Jhope's part is too hard, but I got the rest 💜💜
Speaking of JK's livestream, he just did a live a couple of minutes ago...just because. And he did sing again too. Hehehe! I hope you'll watch their "livestreams" because there are tons of goofiness and chaos there too.
Enjoy your BTS journey...for life. 😊
Plus He Deactivated His IG!
Have a great week!
It’s 2023 and we stillll don’t have a live performance after begging and screaming and even filling out surveys online 😅
Jk singing "Paradise" is 4rm his b-day last year...🙆♀️💜
😎
You have to see the bday VLive when JK forgot they had a song called Paradise 😂 Apparently they call it by it’s Korean name and all this time we’ve been begging for it by it’s English name!

I really like this song but when we talk about dreams, my mind cross to the song "So Far Away by Suga ft Jin & Jungkook"
Even though original song sung by Suga ft Suran but still I can't ignore BTS version.
Here the link.

I think they had perform Live but I can't find the link.
first comment! :)
Ahhhh yeah!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 thank you for being here!! 💜💜💜
@@JohnReavesLive thank you for replying! :)
I love it! RM is spot on! I think life is more about finding your space, your "corner" where you can be your true self, more than chasing a dream. You may think you want to be famous or a doctor, but what you will be happy with is probably something completely different and ordinary... 😅🫶
And love is so much more than romance. It's our existence, and everywhere, in every relationship, seriously.
