I've had nothing but trouble, wasted time and money on electronics and still this Smart/dumb TV does nothing, not a d thing! To use it for anything you gotta feed it DVDS! I RUE the day when regular TV was overran by GREEDY networks and companies! 3 years of this bullshit is enough! Our government should have furnished a College degree in electronics and broadcasting to everyone who didn't know jack about it & lost all their TV viewing! It left millions without television. I'm sure you all know someone that lost all their normal local channels? If you don't you do now! I'd divorce this Era of TV broadcasting if possible but I ain't married to it, hello I can't even pair my phone to this Vision of a nightmare! If there's a repairman in the east TN area that has no may tag to repair, you're welcome to come take a look at, words just then failed me, you're welcome to try. I've got a 3lb hammer and ready to go to work really soon. Then recycle the JUNK!
When lifting out of the box I didn’t remove the top piece of styrofoam, and laid the tv face down on my floor. I cut the bottom of the bag open and put on the feet. I then stood the tv up and removed the styrofoam and plastic. I felt it was the best way to protect the screen while unboxing the tv by myself.

I got different feet and can’t figure out how to get them on correctly !!

Pretty funny that you show to place the tv on a padded surface with the screen up and then all of the sudden the screen is down so you can install the feet.

How do I get the back of the remote off
You need to put a flat head screwdriver at the end and twist it will pop off, very annoying instructions say you can do it with hands

Apps on the smartcast and my Xbox Series S don't support 4K. How do I enable 4K. Settings just say it is at 720p or 1440p

H my goodness I can not wait until I get my Vizio television ship to me I just put in my order for my television and my Vizio sound bar so I am straight now there is nothing to worry about and I have to worry about breaking it and I will try my best to not break my Vizio television so yes I am happy now

You cannot download apps to the TV. Only way they can be added is Vizio adds them during an update.

Vizio tv's are garbage.
Bought a v505 for $400 and out of the box the video and audio were out of sync.
The tv is now 6 months old and the audio keeps going out. You have to reboot the TV to get the audio back.
Changing between apps, the tv shuts down and won't turn back on. You have to unplug and plug back in to turn on the TV.
Called tech support and was told they don't have parts for a 6 month old TV. They will ship a USED TV in exchange for the original tv. But first you have to submit your credit card info so they can put a $400 hold (original tv price) on my credit card.
If they receive your original tv damaged, your credit card will be charged. So basically spending $800 for a used tv.
It will be your responsibility to recoup your money from the shipping company.

Ok. We have this in our motorhome and don’t always have internet. So we are having an awful time getting it to work off the antenna? Is this an internet tv only? Can’t find a manual. TVs have gotten too smart for me. I got rid of the last tv because it was such a pain. This is starting to look just like it. 🤨 Dang kinda wanting to go back to the old stupid tv. I love my tv at home, but geez, we’re not always Wi-Fi available.

I just bought the 585 unit and it won't play USB. I had a 2016 Samsung that burnt out so I got this spiffy SMART tv which is supposed to do all kinds of stuff. Well I could play videos from an ssd, a usb on the Samsung. This unit doesn't play them! I see they say to get a 8gb thumb drive, fat32 format, and bingo..NOTHING. Then in the attempts, the tv locks up and I have to unplug it from the ac as the remote buttons, nor the button on the tv will shut off the unit. So frustrated. Will keep trying a bit more as I have the day off today. Crap
I had this tv for jus 2 days and I returned it cuz the pic quality is not good.. most movies look like a Ted Turner colorized black and white movie.. got money back and I got a Samsung
I’ve had 2 Samsung TVs and after a while they both quit working randomly. You will get a black screen and it never turns back on. I hope you don’t have the same luck as I’ve had with them

My post is to let them know what happens when you contact Vizio support.
I think you called a fake number. I called because I haven’t had my 70 inch TV for more then 6 months and it started to burn out. I called them and they emailed me a claim number had me take pictures and a video. Sent it to them two days later I received a tracking number for the replacement. They sent me a brand new one a newer model and swapped it out for the old one. I never had to give a credit card or anything.

@@jakobfowler2124 There's always going to be different experiences for different people. I appreciate Primal explaining what happened to them, but EVERY brand has had people complaining about something specific to them while the larger majority doesn't run into that problem. Gotta do A LOT of homework before making purchases, because certain people can cause you to miss out on something great or push you into getting something that's trash.

Anyone know what exact power cable I can get as a replacement?
Go to a thrift store. The down here, Florida, has gobs of them. If it is a figure eight, a sewing machine cord will work. If it’s one of those three hole jobbies, then most any computer cable will work. I don’t think you need a specific one. It’s all same power a page or watts, unless the cord has a transformer box or whatever that’s called.
You did not show how to attach power cord to the TV.
I’ll never buy a Vizio again. When internet service goes down you can’t watch basic antenna tv because it stays stuck in the watch free loading prompt not allowing you to change channel.
Guys please make an update or something.. just a week with the tv and the sound gets off randomly.. my only fix us to make the tv restart
I have a 65 inch the worst tv ever made it makes a high pitched whine ever since they updated it to have a game mode so now it’s torture to watch and what do you know just in time to pass the warranty… Just buy any other tv a company that has a guide for why the tv makes that noise clearly doesn’t care what kind of product they put out
Congratulations you have just bought the biggest piece of s*** you have ever seen. I can't tell you how much I hate this television. This is nothing more than a monitor. I bought a Vizio because I had such good luck with my other one. Will never buy another one.
