I just brought this tv last week from Walmart the picture is great but I don’t know if I am doing something wrong but specifically brought this tv to be able to use the cast and Apple air play mode and neither of the features are working I even try to go to the Gide on the tv and all it does is blinks
NOTE FOR NEW V-Series Buyers: I received my V-Series 50" (same design and menu as the 40" in the video) yesterday and the only issue I came across was when I pressed the power button on the remote to turn it off, it did turn off but turned itself back on automatically 4 seconds later. I called Vizio and the tech had me change the power mode in the settings from Eco to Quick Start. That fixed the issue. Seemed kinda weird but it works now and that's all that matters!!
@@lowell101gaming4 Next Gen consoles now run at 4k@120hz. The tv also supports 4k@120hz since it has an hdmi 2.1 port which is the eARC port. As long as the device he's using supports 4k@120hz and the tv which also does, he can play games at that rate. The other ports are hdmi 2.0 which you can run at 4k, but just not at 120 frame rate. The cap for those is most likely 60hz.
@@gabrielalmanzar929 wow thanks for this info. But when I got this TV on the Walmart website, it only said it was 60hz with hdmi 2.1. So maybe I just need to switch my hdmi cable to the 2.1 setting and it may work. I’ll try it out thanks for the info!
@lowell101gaming this is a 60Hz panel. eARC 2.1 is only for 7.1 audio pass-thru in the v-series. With eARC, you can plug your HDMI devices directly into your TV, and the TV will then send the uncompressed, high-quality audio to a soundbar, receiver, or amplifier directly from the eARC port.
I like Vizio TVs. Low cost and good quality. Also, they make use of good quality Mediatek chipsets and this makes them really amazing. Love the picture quality of this one.
Keep in mind that all of the V series models use the exact same Electronics inside it's just that the size of the screen is different. So a review for one size is going to be relevant for all the other sizes. This is true for most brands. About the only time it's not true is 1 a brand will switch between using a VA LCD screen and an IPS LCD screen. Such as LG. So for that you want to check the reviews.

I bought the TV a while back, not long ago. The TV is great, awesome graphics. I hooked up my PS4 to it, I logged in to HBO max on my PS4 and also logged in on Netflix on the tv so I can delete off of my PS4 for more storage.
I think the Vizio V series is one of the best Smart TV choices for consumers because of its 4K HDR support along with the Mediatek processor choice for internal functions.
Great review man, you literally covered just about every area possible from menu, frames, tv stand console height, color shade and most importantly viewing angles. 😀

I have a 55 tcl for the last 3 yrs, amazing input lag but bad motion blur. So, for now 3 yrs later Im fortunate enough to obtain a ps5 I bought me a Vizio 2020 model (V405-H19) until the 4k 120 tvs prices decrease in the future. I have 4k monitor and 1080p 144hz monitor. 120fps is beautiful (especially cold war on ps5) but I watch A LOT of media so 4k 60fps on a panel is the sweet spot for me. Excellent review, I'll update my experience soon!
@@piloto_kannabz21 I ended up paying 70 USD more and got the LG UN7000. Since I didnt open the vizio box, BestBuy was able to return it no issues. Long story short, I did some more research and for 70 USD more you are getting better input lag, and way better color values by a long shot.
@@piloto_kannabz21 Remember only if you haven't opened the vizio then you can return it without a charge. BestBuy has a $25 fee for returning opened tvs monitors bigger than 24 inch. Man, I wish someone was helping me like this when I was researching ha! Best of luck bro. It's a sleek interface on the LG as well, won't regret it.

Another great review and i really like your style of presentation where we can see and hear all relevent information about tv without throwing way to many measured numbers about screen in this or that mode like some channels do. My head was full of all sorts of different specs, models, panels, OS, before buying new tv after long time and since i'm from europe i watched so many reviews from India to US to find good review like yours of normal affordable tv's. Shame there is no Vizio brand on EU market and stores like Best Buy here, where i can notice really huge gap in prices of some common models from LG or Samsung. Good job, respect and take care.

The one thing I like about it. It still features the r c a jacks so I can use it with my old school equipment.. Call me a dinosaur i'm fine with that. I've had new equipment, digital equipment. But it still doesn't sound as good as my vintage equipment. Just doesn't have the low end. Yeah, they say you can't hear below twenty hertz I called b s on that.
I got the tv but my sound is muffled. I have no idea how to adjust the sound so it will come out clearer. I bought the 50 inch model and I love it let me just say for a TV that's under $400 I don't expect it to go head to head with a LG C1 or the top of the line Samsung TV I've played games on it this thing is gorgeous

I have the 50 inch and it works fantastic at the foot of my king bed. My main complaint is that I have to do the soft reboot too often for some reason (have to pull the power cord and count to ten and reconnect).... if you've climbed into bed and snuggled up before turning on the TV, it's a little difficult to get up and reboot.
That's weird that you said HBO Max is not available on that TV because we have the v-series 58-inch and it has all the apps so apparently you need to do a firmware update on your TV because HBO Max is available on the V series

@@TJ_252 looks great man for real. Low input lag and response time. The game mode does help my bros Xbox series s. Series s actually looks pretty smooth on the tv and great picture. Panel is 60hz but can play at 4k 60hz which looks very good on screen. I have the 50inch and 65 inch v series and they def play well with games. HDR gaming as well

I have a late 2019 65" Vizio V series TV, and from my understanding it isn't getting the new update for voice features (and the new voice remote won't work with it). Can you help me understand this company's thinking?, because after watching this video everything makes even less sense now... I assume the 2019 V series isn't getting the voice remote because of a lack of Bluetooth, but the 2020 version is in fact fully compatible with it, yet it also has no Bluetooth (lol?). Tech Steve, QUESTION You mentioned this tv plays all the different formats (Dolby vision etc...) What happens if you purchase a Samsung tv that doesn't offer all the video formats? Is it limited in playback? Diminished quality? Is there any real video difference realistically? ADVISE, thanks

The average person will never use most formats that are mentioned. It a selling point that they offer If you need it. Realty is that company like Samsung pictures looks good

Great review. I think it’s a great entry level 4K TV. I enjoy the Dolby Vision and HDR10. Pretty smooth UI compared to other TVs I had before. Overall a good purchase without spending too much. My only complaint is when it comes to gaming. The Gaming Engine automatically takes over and gives you the preferred settings with what you’re outputting. The engine locks you out of some features and I cannot tamper with the sharpness at all.

My main complaint is that I have to do the soft reboot too often for some reason (have to pull the power cord and count to ten and reconnect).... if you've climbed into bed and snuggled up before turning on the TV, it's a little difficult to get up and reboot.

That's weird that you said HBO Max is not available on that TV because we have the v-series 58-inch and it has all the apps so apparently you need to do a firmware update on your TV because HBO Max is available on the V series

The V series can come in 3 different pixel ratings: 2160, 1080, & 720. I got a hold of a Vizio V505, but not sure what the pixel size is. Thank you Steve! Does your V series have built-in speakers?
Thanks for the informative review, I have the 40inch version for my desk and it’s great for the price, I have my M1 Mac mini and XBOX Series S connected to it, didn’t know about the Game Mode in Picture settings, hopefully that helps with Cold War.

@@TJ_252 looks great man for real. Low input lag and response time. The game mode does help my bros Xbox series s. Series s actually looks pretty smooth on the tv and great picture. Panel is 60hz but can play at 4k 60hz which looks very good on screen. I have the 50inch and 65 inch v series and they def play well with games. HDR gaming as well

It's a good TV other than not having Apple music or Spotify. It's not a huge deal. I just use the Bluetooth on my sound bar.

I have a late 2019 65" Vizio V series TV, and from my understanding it isn't getting the new update for voice features (and the new voice remote won't work with it). Can you help me understand this company's thinking?, because after watching this video everything makes even less sense now...
I assume the 2019 V series isn't getting the voice remote because of a lack of Bluetooth, but the 2020 version is in fact fully compatible with it, yet it also has no Bluetooth (lol?). Uh....I'm confused...I don't get it...

Tech Steve, QUESTION You mentioned this tv plays all the different formats (Dolby vision etc...) What happens if you purchase a Samsung tv that doesn't offer all the video formats? Is it limited in playback? Diminished quality? Is there any real video difference realistically? ADVISE, thanks
Nope, Samsung builds screen that most people use in there TV so they are optimized for superior picture.

The average person will never use most formats that are mentioned. It a selling point that they offer If you need it. Realty is that company like Samsung pictures looks good

Great review. I think it’s a great entry level 4K TV. I enjoy the Dolby Vision and HDR10. Pretty smooth UI compared to other TVs I had before. Overall a good purchase without spending too much. My only complaint is when it comes to gaming. The Gaming Engine automatically takes over and gives you the preferred settings with what you’re outputting. The engine locks you out of some features and I cannot tamper with the sharpness at all.
