In my opinion, John has gotten happier and better as a performer later in his career. He is just amazing. We are truly blessed to have him in our lives.
Elton John is the greatest singer, song writer, piano man that has ever been. His career has been one of great talent from the beginning to this day. His works are incomparable to any and will remain unmatched he is a music icon that is the greatest gift England has given to the world. His great works with his aids foundation reach around the world. There will never be another such talent as his. His integrity and heart are great, just as his music. When Sir Elton John was born the mould was broken. We have been lucky to have his music all of our lives. Great love Sir Elton to you and your beautiful family. Many more years....
Might sound silly, but this one has always choked me up. More so today when you see the deep divisions in today’s society. May we truly find a way to make our hatred cease!
Lord have mercy, Sir Elton's pipes are insane and richer in tone than ever. As to his skills on the 88s, what can be said other than this is one in a lifetime talent and Sir Elton knows (Just like Sinatra knew) that when you're surrounded with huge talent as he is here with full orchestra and choir - it's a tsunami of sound that could not sound any better.
He sings this song as well as any fevered preacher i have ever heard. Yeah his voice has dropped a octave or two but with songs like this that is a definite plus!!..Simply Elton, Simply Bernie, SIMPLY MAGICAL!!!
On this day in 1970 {August 15th} Elton John performed "Border Song" at the Yorkshire Folk, Blues, & Jazz Festival at the Krumlin Barkisland Grounds in Halifax, West Yorkshire, England...

One of Elton's finest songs, I think.
It's amazing how so musicians as they age their voices don't turn out so good, but his voice today works just as well.
Favorite lines ever! "What's his color? I don't care." "He's my brother! LET US LIVE IN PEACE"
OH!!! Goosebumps when the chior first sings "Holy Moses"!! What a song.
This is my "go to" song when I sing in the shower.
9/12/2023 still listening....political racial and gender fighting going on. He's my brother let us live in peace.

The quiet versions are much more impactful.
