    Thank you for another fine review. Your knowledge of the prototype is a big benefit for both us that view these and I’m sure that the manufacturer takes notice as well. A great example is the lighting color hue.

    Nice. I preordered the GGD Amtrak Phase 3 Superliners.

    Beautiful except for those nutty 3 metal magnets on the cars ends. What was 3rd Rail thinking?

    Great review and thanks for sharing. My 2023 GGD 20th century set arrived with the Shady Creek observation. Are there 2 versions? I was on a quest for the Hickory Creek and there’s a story that goes with it back to 2017.

      There are two versions of the train, representing the two sets that would've made up the real 20th century. In reference to the models, there were two runs of this train by GGD including the 2023 run, the first run was around 2015 iirc

    Love my set. Haven't had the issues with the diaphragms popping off on my O-80 loop, though the fabric does pop out both sideways & above as I believe you have previously mentioned. It is a heavier set, though my Lionel Legacy E8 A-A pair (only 1 powered) has no trouble pulling. Wanted to give my 3rd Rail PA-B set a go, but the B unit electrocoupler apparently no longer latches, so...that'll hafta wait.

    Great set. Honestly, though I wish 3rd rail would invest in a better sound system for the cost. The locomotives sound like space ships!

    And, those are full length diaphragms, the cloth looks absurd. Also, the blocks that hold the magnets may be more offensive than the magnets. I'm going to cut the blocks and magnets out on mine and repaint.

    What is the caboose at the end of that freight train.

    • @KsModels
      @KsModels  Год назад +1

      It's a scratchbuilt NYC "resheathed" cupola caboose made by Brother_Love on the OGR Forum

    Observation cars are never Pullman car.Pullman cars are sleeper cars only.

      The Creek observations had 5 double bedrooms as well as a lounge at the end. They were sleeper observations.
