We need more mikeys in this world!
Ikr? Also his parents are volunteers and activists. One can see that Mikey had great role models in his parents. Amazing family!
Broxh :v
This is like a lot of kids dream from childhood. We would say to our parents "One day Im going to buy you a house." Congrats- you actually were able to do that. This is so touching. 😭
Every asian parents dream - raise good children, every asian kids dream - be able to give back to our parents ❤ congratulations Mikey! ❤
Mikey, your parents' story about immigrating to America resonates so deeply with me. It mirrors my beloved folks' humble start over here as well. How heartwarming for your parents to receive such a wonderful gift of gratitude! 💖💖
Mikey, I'm so moved by your generous heartfelt gift to your parents. Knowing how most Asians don't show physical affection, the many hugs she gave you is very telling of how happy you made her. Thanks for sharing this precious moment with all of us!
This made me tear up. Your parents seem like the most honest, hard-working, and sincere individuals - I’m so glad you could do this for them. They raised a great son; I’m wishing your family all the best and continued good health💙
as a son of a migrant family myself, this is absolutely amazing. being able to do this for your parents, it must mean so much to your parents and also to yourself. so happy for you and your family!
You are a great guy! Realizing your parents sacrifices when your growing up. It's a nice attitude to return back to them and give them good life.
This is what everyone kid dreams about: giving back to their parents; to repay all the years they spent raising us. Hopefully I will be able to do something like this in the near-future. Maybe on a larger scale ❤️
You'll need a big salary first. Gotta become an engineer, lawyer, or doctor.
@@rahathasan819 none of the richest people in the world are any of the things u just mentioned. Lol
Funny now as a parent I see the other side. I don’t want my kid to be giving anything back to me 😂 I just want them to live their fullest life
As the Mom of a teenage son - we all hope that our children love us the way that you love yours when they are grown. Your parents have done a wonderful job raising you!
Hope you are raising him that way. Cant just pop out a kid and hope they love you enough to buy you a house
“Close enough is fine”. gotta love mom.
Such a heartwarming video. Our folks give us thier lives...so wonderful to show your appreciation 😊😊 what a nice guy..
Not gonna lie when you showed your parents the keys & your mom just smiled from ear to ear! That made me tear up. I'm so happy for you & your family!
One of the best feelings in the world; giving back to your parents not because you owe them for raising you but because you love them as much as they do. I hope I can do the same for my parents. Thank you for this one Mikey!
P.S.
I'm a Filipino and Filipinos do love karaoke. 😂
I never comment but this literally brought tears to my eyes. You can tell how grateful your Mom is and even your Dads stoic reaction is so typical :)
11:54 Mikey's mom saying "I miss you" was so cuteeeeeeeee *yes im back to rewatch this video don't judge me* haha
Same third time 😂❤️
It’s so sweet 😭
Best gift to your parents. Trips don’t last. A home is forever. You’re a good son for blessing hard working parents.
Actually memories of those trips, and the experiences you gain stay with you forever, so they are also very valuable
Not having to worry about rent will massively improve your life
brother i envy you so much. im 32 and just as im about to thank my parents my mom passed away last month. im so happy for you that you still have them with you. May God bless you and youur parents abundantly
I'm so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing Benj, I can imagine the pain of that. But, my belief is that she is always looking down on you and knows how much you love her and every time you think of her and remember her then she'll live on in you. She knows Benj, keep on loving her. I know, as mine has passed too but they are with you forever. Take care.
I'm so sorry for your loss.
I’m so sorry to hear this sad news, god bless you and your family
I'm so sorry for your loss. I know how deep this hurts. I lost my father last year, and I'm also in a similar situation about to give back, but then he was taken from us. It cuts so deep.
I know people say that our parents are still with us, but that is a small consolation when we want our parents here with us. Be strong and I wish you all the best, Benj.
So thoughtful of you to do that for your parents. Your mom giving you countless hugs was so heartwarming. Last but not the least, thank you for speaking up about the atrocities committed by Chinese Communist Govt, which I know is not easy task to do on social media. As a Tibetan food content creator, it is very inspiring to me to see someone with your scale of platform to have such integrity and courage. Shine on 💛
momo
That's so great you got your parents a home you are a great son. You are a fantastic person buddy! I love the person you are your great.
To be able to give back to your parents like that is almost every Asian son's dream. Way to go dude, they're so proud of you.
This is everyone child of an immigrants dream. To make it big enough to buy our parents the house they deserve. congratulations my man and hope you more success to come
Your god damn right
Junie Cardenas Lol. Breaking Bad. Walter white. Say my name. 👍🤝🙋🏻♂️✌️
You are a REAL man. Your parents ARE proud of you. This whole community is proud of you. You make so many videos, but this will be one of the most memorable ones.
Oohh😢😢 this makes me so teary blessing to you the most beautiful one can ever do is giving more so to people who love you unconditionally
aww mama chen was so excited 🥺 the amount of hugs
Mike was a bit shy when she hugged him over again. He could not hug her back!
I wonder where they will have dinner. On the kitchen island or sofa and coffee table?
He must feel amazing doing this, but I would have done it without filming and publishing it. It is such a private event. But each it's own. It is still an amazing thing to do. 🥰
If all sons and daughters loved their parents this much....would be such a beautiful world...
This was so sweet... I cried. I hope to give back to my Asian parents like this someday. I think I'll call them after watching this video.
You made your parents very happy. The look on their faces, even on your dad's, showed immense pride. I can only wish to make my mom that happy.
This brought tears to my eyes, you are what every good Asian son or daughter strive to honor their parents. Kudos! Your parents are lovely people.
Got teary eyed when she was saying " thank you son".... we moms love it when our children show us some love....and buying them a house is an amazing gift from children to parents , I did that for my parents too, it's a very Filipino or Asian thing....
mega respect.
This makes me cry. You are an amazing son. I'm moving to Austin TX from the bay area in April and hope to see you there. Love all your videos.
When your Mom kept hugging you, that’s what got me. Asian parents are not particularly affectionate so I knew just how grateful they were for what you did. You’re a wonderful son Mike and they will never forget this gift you gave them.
Also, I was cracking up at you saying not to tell your parents that you ate before you went to their apartment. I will lie and suffer the stomachache just not to let my Mom know I ate beforehand.
Camera aside, his response to the hug was also very Asian. :-D We're not very huggy, so when my parents hug me, it feels weird!
This is really heartwarming and to see how happy your parents is. My family been living on rented place since i’m young and my mom always wanted us to have a place on our own. When I finally start working and finally bought a house and was doing renovation , my mum was happy but unfortunately she din get the chance to move in as she got stroke one day and never recovered and passed away after. So I was really happy to see that you are doing wat u did for your parents 👍
Why in the hell would anyone dislike this video? Must be people who couldn’t do the same for their parents. You’re a good man, Mike. Your parents are lucky to have a son like you. Love your content by the way 🤙🏽
those who disliked this vid are losers who was never able to gift their parents anything but a headche
310 ppl lol
The people who disliked were the Filipinos who karaokes all day and night. Lol
Salty people who cannot afford the same for thier parents
your an excellent son
Asian kids to Asian parents. This made me cry. Also built my parents a house 7 years ago.
They raised you well.
Mikey is a grown up man but when he's with his parents he becomes a baby haha you can really see how much he treasures his parents. Thank you for inspiring us! I aspire to do the same someday and inspire others as well
This is the best episode you’ve ever done...Such a great thing you did
Hoping to the same soon for my Mum
Forever blessed 🙏🏾
Made me tear up man. This is what is all about. Money’s nice but sharing with your people is everything. You can’t bring all thay money when you die one day
You give them a big surprise. Your mother just kept on hugging you. You are a good son. God bless you.
Your parents are amazing. Thank y’all helping my Uyghur brothers and sisters.
You literally made me cry and miss my parents so badly. I'm here NJ alone and my parents are in Korea. Well no one asked but I just wanna share my situation.
Hang in there.
Aw you’ll be together again before you know it. Hopefully you’ll live close to each other again soon xx
Sending some ❤️. My daughter is alone and away from us in Hungary. I hope you see your parents soon!
That's such a tough situation ❤️ I hope you get to see them soon!
What part of N.J? I just passed through a month ago.
Your mom's giggles of happiness as she went into the bedroom and sat on the bed were the best part of this. It was what I imagine a child would sound like if given a bouncy house. Left speechless, but the giggles can't be contained. So sweet. You're a great son! :)
This is so lovely. It’s so nice when you can give back to your parents. Made me cry your mum was so shocked and happy. Such a beautiful thing to do, when are world is going through such a bad time. 💕💕💕
This is awesome…such a great Son…they must be proud👍🥰👍
All your hard work paid off for this moment im sure 😊😊
CONGRATS MIKEY
As the child of immigrant parents (although technically I immigrated with them), everything about this video speaks to me on a personal level. so happy for your parents Mike!
Forget the ‘Like’ button, where’s the ‘Love’ button?! I got so teary eye when Mike announced the apartment was for them. What an amazing moment! So much love from his mother and then she told him to eat less 😂 typical Asian parents 🤭😂
Your mom's laughter! I love it! "What a good son! Thank you son!" Your dad so quiet but you could see how proud of you he is.
Mom is soooooo sweettttt....she's so proud of you Mikey and feels blessed at the same time....she gave you a thousand hugzzzz!!!! Awwwwwwwwwww 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
You're their only child and I must say they got themselves a good one!
Mike’s mom’s like: my son is the best son ever, but why isn’t he married...why?! Haha so typical Asian parent 🤣
With all the pretty young girls he knows and gets along with, I've wondered this, myself. I mean, the dude's got looks, youth, health, great taste, celebrity status, a thriving multi-faceted career and now real estate holdings. How has he managed to not get married yet? You'd think every Chinatown in America would label him as the most eligible Asian bachelor.
Maybe he isn’t forcing himself to be in a relationship. Maybe he enjoys his life the way it is and I can’t blame him.
@@CarlGorn prob too busy lol
He just broke up, may be hasn't got over 'her' yet. Sophie and Mike sharing a puppy.. a start of 'something' perhaps? 💖👍
Lunay LeZarde His breakup was fairly recent if you exclude the last several months for obvious reasons, so maybe we’re just too anxious on his behalf. 😅 He’d definitely be popular through a matchmaker, not that I think he really needs one, but it would expand his options beyond his social circle.
I love your Mom's face! She's so sweet. Just the nicest parents.
It's official, Mike is my favourite RUclipsr. He's so unbelievably selfless. I teared up a bit! This was lovely!
Mikey I recently lost my Mom and this video just truly touched my heart seeing how happy it made your mother. You are so special to be able to do that for your family. Never give up on being there for them and enjoy every moment. Because they can leave before u know it and you can’t get them back. Love all you do!! Thanks brother and God Bless!!!🙏🏼🤙🏽
Really nice! Did something similar to my parents a while ago. Like most Asian cultures, Nigerians learn to respect parents and elders. The funniest part is my Dad reacted pretty much the same way yours did while my mom kept crying and hugging me. Cheers!
i know ,got my mom a car a while back and she couldn't stop praying for me and thanking me .
@Kat Kaye this video isn't about "those parents", so be positive, at least on this video.
Mike is a good son to his parents and a model immigrant American. Thanks Mike..you inspire me and many of us.
You are a good son. The happiness in your parents’ faces is priceless.
It's so good to see children honour their parents, I can just imagine the joy you feel in giving to them! So proud of you Mikey 🤗.
You are easily one of the realest and loveliest people on the internet. This made me so warm and fuzzy inside. Love from Ireland, Mikey ♥️
Awwwww that's so sweet & such a Blessing to be able to that for ur parents. I wish my parents were still here MAY they RIP & LOVE
This brought tears to my eyes.... HAPPY TEARS!!!!!🥰🥰🥰
Chinese parents are like whenever you come back home, you have a whole bunch of food ready to eat. I havent seen my parents for almost 2 years now. This made me cry... They, all the Chinese people deserve a better gov! Thank you, Mike!
Mikey man this was amazing. Everyone dreams this for their parents.
Its mikey chen bro not mickey chen
Mick what a great nickname
@@ar_zyx typo, very simple mistake no need to be a grammar nazi.
@@ar_zyx my apologies for the addition of the letter C.
This made me tear up. Your parents are so appreciative of everything you do for them. They must know how much you love and appreciate them as well.
Being Asian, showing emotion is such a rare thing growing up. To have your mom give hugs and kisses and your dad beaming from ear to ear is the highest praise.
Cherish your parents while they are still here on this earth. ❤
Re watching this again... Makes me cry again and again. We Asians really do look for our elderly not bc it should be but it's our gratitude towards their sacrifices. That's y you are blessed. Hope to see your parents again with there new home. Godbless and keep safe
