- Went to try the Asian food at Whole Foods market. They had a lots of freshly made items as well as frozen goods. I got the freshly made Korean Steak, Teriyaki Salmon, Sushi and Thai Noodles as well as Ramen and Dumplings from the frozen food Aisle.

I'm crying when you showed the cakes, it reminded me of the really bomb tiramisu cakes from fresh and easy back in the day

I know. I always laugh to myself when he picks up one of those little baskets when he really needs a full size shopping cart. And for just one meal! Can you imagine having to feed him? You'd need 3 jobs. Two to pay for food and one for everything else.

When he said (and it’s how he said it too) “wowww oh my god!!” It unlocked a deep memory I forgot I had. My dad would (and still does) say that EVERY time he liked how something tastes. :) it’s so wholesome.
Instead of saying “wow that looks good I would need to travel out of the country to get that” this time I can say “wow I can go down the street and try it!” I bet you can’t wait to travel again though. Me too Mikey, me too.

I'm getting some next time I go there. I have a vegetarian friend who loves the Indian entrees they have. I think I'll get some of those to try too.

My Whole Foods used to make restaurant-quality sushi. They had loads of different fish. My favorite has always been anything with yellowtail. Then one day they stopped using pretty much everything besides tuna, salmon, krab, and maybe sometimes eel. Even stopped doing tempura shrimp crunch rolls. I asked about it and the chef said they couldn't afford to source more premium fish. I don't know if he meant the store or the company, but thankfully I found a couple great AYCE sushi places. Edit: I've always enjoyed the teriyaki chicken bowl, I think they still sell that.

Try Nasai Teriyaki for "Seattle Teriyaki" - used to eat it all the time when I went to college there!

Whole Foods sushi game is always on point. I have never had a bad experience (except this weird veggie roll thing 😝) from their sushi bar and at my location in Fremont, CA the sushi chefs there will make you something fresh or custom if you ask nicely ☺️💕
$10 for those Mochi ice cream ... can’t relate. So overpriced
And $9.47 for the soup? Buy local, get better!
