  • In this video, I'm going to show you how to use the Creative Fabric "fontcloud" tool with Silhouette Studio. We'll explore the process for uploading your fonts and viewing your glyphs and special characters. You'll learn how to copy your glyphs from "fontcloud" and paste them to your text in Silhouette Studio. This even works with Silhouette Studio Standard Edition!

Font cloud gives you a way to access glyphs for fonts that you upload to Font Cloud. It would be more of a tool for those that use the Basic Edition or those that use Cricut Design Space. Using the app doesn't upload them to Silhouette Studio. In order to use them in Silhouette Studio, fonts have to be properly installed on your computer. If you have Business Edition already you should be able to use any font that you have installed on your computer, and access the glyphs from the text style panel to the right of your screen in Silhouette Studio. There is another video on that. I hope this helps.

what is the difference between this and wordmark?

I'm not real familiar with wordmark, but it appears that wordmark shows you what your typed text would look like in all the fonts you have installed on your computer. If I'm looking at the correct app, I'm not seeing an option to copy and paste the text glyphs into your document. It seems that even in the pro version, which has a fee, you can export a PNG image of your typed text, which you would then have to upload and trace in Silhouette Studio. Font Cloud is Free and you actually copy and paste the characters into your text block and work with it as you would any text. I hope that makes sense. Please let me know what your experience is with it.
