Not gonna lie, their chemistry was so much better. After their break up rest of the episodes became so boring. Plz I want them as end game. I know i used to ship Otis & Maeve. But Ruby's character is so freakin interesting. She was insecure about lot of things. She thought no one will accept her the way she is. But she had feelings for Otis so she decided to open up to him and tell him about her secrets. I don't think Otis was the bad guy here. It's not like he wanted to break up with her. He just wasn't ready to say "I love you" to her, and that's okay. It comes easier and faster for some people. She just loved him so much that when he couldn't say it back (yet), it caused all her insecurities to come rushing to the forefront. If they get a season four, I actually think their story might not be over.

If I'm being honest, and as big of a Maeve and Otis shipper I am I will say, that after the scene at Rubys house I wouldn't be mad if they were the endgame. At first when I saw them in trailer I thought that it was gonna be this cheesy relationship, nerd and a cool girl type of dynamic, which it was at first. But as they progressed I saw something that I did not expect at all, for a brief moment I felt at ease because I actually believed that there can still be a happy ending without Maeve and Otis together. First they were just casual which did not suit Otis at all, he decided to take the risk and become a thing with her, he had to change himself in order to do that. It was the moment that I knew it was gonna end very soon. But it didn't. She decided to not care about what others think of her. When Ruby took Otis to her house, she let her guard down and we finally saw HER for what she truly was, which was this loving, caring and vulnerable soul that was just covered with armor to protect her. The moment when she called Otis and told him that she loves him while laying on the bed was the moment my heart skipped a beat because I realized that was the moment it was gonna end. I knew the writers wouldn't have what it takes to just go against whole community of people and pursue this relationship any further. I feelings are mixed, as much as I like Maeve and Otis being together, the whole thing with Ruby left me confused.

This is how you write love triangles. I was rooting for both Maeve and Otis and Ruby and Otis. And in the end it came down to Otis never completely falling out of love with Maeve so he couldn’t return Ruby’s feelings yet and Ruby leaving because she didn’t want a relationship that felt unequal.

I used to shipped Otis and Maeve SO HARD during season 1 and 2, but after season 3, i've realized Otis and Maeve left so many bloodtrails just for them to come together, and it's sucks because mostly it's their own fault (Otis with his insecurities and Maeve with her superiority complex) and yet they broke so many hearts along the way, and for me it really damaged the show's writing because up until this points they've managed to dodge a lot of usual RomCom cliche which what made this series unique and intriguing in the first place, if there is a season 4 (and if it will be the last) i hope the writers get back on track and atleast gave us a closure, preferebly where Otis helped Ruby in the way no one else could, and them ended up together, while Maeve found comforts in her career or something, not everyone's happy ending should be them finding someone, right?

some of it was his fault, putting himself into a relationship when his mind was still on maeve was a selfish thing to do and unfair to ruby - so she definitely deserved better compared to what she was given.
A nice storyline would be Ruby helping Otis with the clinic . Then Otis and Maeve realizing that they have different paths now and leave their relationship as friends :) . OTIS AND RUBY ALL THE WAY MATES
Literally the way ruby was developed this season was so relatable in today’s time. You have walls to protect yourself and sometimes it doesn’t give you the best image, but when the right person understands and speaks to you, you begin to show your true self. Ruby was honestly so brilliant in her development (more relatable than maeve) and it was so fun watching them as a couple in 3 episodes rather than s1/2 with maeve. I’m all in for the rotis endgame and for ruby to be happy, people might say otis could be himself n was happier with maeve but he did enjoy his time with ruby. Tbh it’s difficult for ruby to be back with otis so soon in s4.. even if maeve is in America… for the arc to be properly written, s4 will just be them forgiving each other and being friends again, getting to know each other better because they did rush and move quick on their relationship. Otis would spent more time with her group etc… and if s5 occurred, then they’ll be a couple again. But unless Emma Mackey quits the show, I think the writers are fixed on motis endgame which is sad and stale. Speaking about writers, people might say that Otis moved on so quick because he didn’t have feelings for her… well he did say I really like you AND if you take maeve’s existence away, and knowing Otis character, would he have acted the way he acted? No, so basically the breakup scene was rushed and I disappointed that Otis only tried apologising forn1 episode (e5 in France). Thanks for coming to my rant. Pray for rotis endgame
Also, a dream story of s4 would be maeve deciding that long dist isn’t going to work and Otis finally moves on. They remain best friends and maeve gives him advice on how to win ruby back.
We all got deprived of a beautiful plot between Otis and Ruby.. they were perfect for each other and if their relationship have grown further it would have made Otis move on and would have made him much better but the plot was ended abruptly in middle just to stretch Otis Maeve angle again which didn’t meant anything in the end as Maeve again left Otis. I would have loved to see emotional connection between Otis and Ruby and both changing for good for each other ❤️
I saw someone in another edit's comments say that they should've kept them together to show how if you don't act on your feelings for someone else when they are really there, you will probably end up wanting something completely different and i 100% agree. The way they put Maeve and Otis together at the end felt really forced after seeing this relationship transpire this season. I dunno, this just works so so well. That and the fact that it seemed like Maeve was actually getting along with Isaac, even after what he did, until it wasn't convenient for the plot anymore
Really loved how every time she kissed him her hands always had a tight grip around his neck. Can feel the chemistry when they kissed. Ended up liking their kiss more than when Maeve and Otis kissed tbh even though I was waiting ages for that to happen 😂
I really liked them together. I feel like him & Maeve missed their chances multiple times. I think he will have to work very hard to regain her trust for them to work out. Maybe this show will go on after senior graduation
I have never liked Isaac. Since he was introduced last season. Otis and ruby were so great together it’s a shame that they ended. Hopefully we get to see more of ruby next season. I wouldn’t mind if otis and maeve or otis and ruby happen

OTIS AND RUBY ALL THE WAY MATES
Literally the way ruby was developed this season was so relatable in today’s time. You have walls to protect yourself and sometimes it doesn’t give you the best image, but when the right person understands and speaks to you, you begin to show your true self. Ruby was honestly so brilliant in her development (more relatable than maeve) and it was so fun watching them as a couple in 3 episodes rather than s1/2 with maeve. I’m all in for the rotis endgame and for ruby to be happy, people might say otis could be himself n was happier with maeve but he did enjoy his time with ruby. Tbh it’s difficult for ruby to be back with otis so soon in s4.. even if maeve is in America… for the arc to be properly written, s4 will just be them forgiving each other and being friends again, getting to know each other better because they did rush and move quick on their relationship. Otis would spent more time with her group etc… and if s5 occurred, then they’ll be a couple again. But unless Emma Mackey quits the show, I think the writers are fixed on motis endgame which is sad and stale.
Speaking about writers, people might say that Otis moved on so quick because he didn’t have feelings for her… well he did say I really like you AND if you take maeve’s existence away, and knowing Otis character, would he have acted the way he acted? No, so basically the breakup scene was rushed and I disappointed that Otis only tried apologising forn1 episode (e5 in France). Thanks for coming to my rant. Pray for rotis endgame
Also, a dream story of s4 would be maeve deciding that long dist isn’t going to work and Otis finally moves on. They remain best friends and maeve gives him advice on how to win ruby back.
We all got deprived of a beautiful plot between Otis and Ruby.. they were perfect for each other and if their relationship have grown further it would have made Otis move on and would have made him much better but the plot was ended abruptly in middle just to stretch Otis Maeve angle again which didn’t meant anything in the end as Maeve again left Otis. I would have loved to see emotional connection between Otis and Ruby and both changing for good for each other ❤️

I saw someone in another edit's comments say that they should've kept them together to show how if you don't act on your feelings for someone else when they are really there, you will probably end up wanting something completely different and i 100% agree. The way they put Maeve and Otis together at the end felt really forced after seeing this relationship transpire this season. I dunno, this just works so so well. That and the fact that it seemed like Maeve was actually getting along with Isaac, even after what he did, until it wasn't convenient for the plot anymore
