Plate thing, whoa mannnnnnnnnnnnnn, way to technical for me bro. Gr8 jorb. Love your vidzz.
Glad you found that before you put coolant in it. I didn't know how you were gonna go back with the engine. I would of wrapped the header over by the starter. Just saying because fords and headers don't always work well together. Those header gaskets looked a little thin that you put on there. I used the thick white header gaskets on mine when I put it back together. I used the original cast exhaust manifolds on mine. Originally they used the metal gaskets. FE's are notorious for leaking exhaust manifolds.
love your videos! trying to brain up for my own crown vic ifs swap and engine swap.....
In 1982 I put a 360 Industrial engine in my 66 F100, everything from the 352 cid fit. They said the industrial engines were used in the F700 and bigger. Awesome video
Everything oem will always keep you going down the road along time!!!
.as the HEI sat too high. Nice project and great videos !!
Not sure if there was any milling done to the heads or block but if there was....The FE head gasket and intake gasket surfaces are 90 degrees relative to each other, so any machining operation to the heads or block deck will have had a corresponding impact on the intake fit...which would cause leaks.
That’s frustrating. At this point id be muttering “it’s always something!” and throwing things around the shop. When I get near the end I get so impatient I start making dumb mistakes. Looked good in that engine bay though - very satisfying
Get an Edelbrock performer RPM manifold and call it a day!😁 I have one on my Lincoln, along with a performer AVS2 carb, and I absolutely love it!!
A few I know that had 360 engine, when opportunity came the rebuilt as a 390 which is a big step up . 360’s tended to be harder on fuel, great as workhorse truck engine but that’s it.
No lock tite in the clutch bolts? Great job. Really well done, educational and entertaining.
Hey there I love your videos I’m definitely a old Ford guy I actually have a 70 F250 that I just had a 410 Mercury rebuilt which is the same as your 390 428 crank 390 rods anyways I have a question for you on your headers where you got them at because I’m going to wanna put headers on my truck thank you and thanks for the awesome teaching
More than likely the intake. Gasket was for a tall port. If you got the small port gasket use them instead.
