Minthara is inevitable!! She must have felt us talking about her lack of damage lately and took matters into her own hands!! What a goddess on the battlefield!!
@@Bowskii I can't remember the case in your game (and I have some videos to catch up) but giving her the tadpole power for autocrit is quite powerful. There is also a ring for autocrit from SH quest that is very beneficial for her. That way, if she has not used her reaction, she can use a smite spell (such as thunderous smite, blinding smite) as a bonus action (not the divine smite). When a crit is confirmed (which is guaranteed with these two abilities, once per day each), she gets the divine smite as a free critical spell as a reaction. I think it is a basic paladin ability so it should work for a paladin-bard as well.
I believe I got that tad pole stuff on her but I'm not sure. Ari and Minthara have about 10 abilities at this point I think. That smite damage though!!! When ever I see and hear smites it always makes me wanna switch back to pally.
@@chiquilloneal this game has some amazing writing and lore it just sticks with us. Definitely some of the best that I've ever had a chance to play. Glad you enjoyed the EP my friend.
53:34 Epic!!! Hit this "some bitch" lmao you were so excited I love it! That level of excitement is one of the many reasons we love your videos. It gives us that first time feel once again. Super epic fight great job.
Getting that mindflayer right away was *absolutely* clutch. Dame Aylin might miss a lot against Ketheric, but if the mindflayer managed to mind control her, you can be sure she would hit every attack she made against your party lol. Ketheric has such a tragic story, and it really makes you think about things deeply. It makes you think about what you'd be willing to do to get back the only family you have left after everyone else already died, if you'd be willing to condemn the world... I mean hell, Liara basically did that in mass effect with Shepard by giving their body to a known terrorist organization to bring them back. Grief is such a powerful thing On a less depressing note lol, I love hearing all your speculation about the end game plot points, especially since you pay so much attention to the little details that just go over so many people's heads. Looking forward to the next episode!
that helped out so much maybe more than I though because we didn't get to see her get mind dominated lol. I kind of feel pretty bad about the whole situation that family went through. He wanted to do the right thing at first but I feel all the gods he turned too ended up turning him for the worst. Lots of speculation!! Always a great game when it does that too us.
That note from Isobel brought me to tears when i came across it, i just left it on his body. Ketheric is a corrupted man, but looking back on act 2 as a whole; Ketheric and his family are just heavily overcome by grief. Melodia was really the glue keeping the Thorm family together. Truly sad what came after her death. Argh! Did the most relatable villain really have to be the one we kill first? Anyway, onto act 3! Awesome video as always.
Such a tragic end I believe. I feel like he wanted to do well first and then over time dealing with multiple gods corrupted him. But one thing we can say is he truly loved his daughter. That note was so rough it made my heart hurt just thinking about it. And being a father myself.. Can't wait to see more!! Act 3 here we come.
Ketheric is such a great villain, I love him! That battle was epic!! Defeating the big boss after a tough fight is soooo much more satisfying than if it’s an easy win. You earned it! 🎉
he really was I enjoyed this act alot more then the first act and the enemy. I feel pretty bad for him honestly. And I agree this right here is why I love games on harder difficulties it makes it so much more fun. And gives us that feeling of accomplishment after a huge battle.
Oh man as you get to the end of this act, I’m so excited for you to encounter all the amazing stuff in Act 3. Especially with the Dark Urge stuff, I absolutely cannot wait as this is the part that truly made this game my favorite of all time.
@@Bowskiioh for sure. I’m not saying anything more except that the revelations are indeed coming and also that I’m dying to see your reactions to them.

epic fight against the Avatar of Myrkul! I love this act. it gotten even better on a second playthrough. the world and lore is so rich and the build up to the climactic confrontation with the Chosen Three is so satisfying.
what an epic episode! you finally meet Absolute's 3 generals in one place :) Man Kethrick is such great character... totally broken and corrupted but there are moments where you can almost feel bad for him, almost, for all the bad fate that befell him and his family. than you remember all that he's done since and his arrogance and evil. His amazing voice actor totally ads to it. also damn Minthara!!!
Such an epic fight I agree!! Definitely the best fight in the game so far. I loved it! And Minthara totally saved the day for us. Those Smites helped so much. I def feel for Ketheric, he wanted to done everything to bring his daughter back and turned to this gods but in the end it basically corrupted him. Just a terrible fate.
Awesome episode! What a great character Ketheric is, in my opinion. He's a man of broken faith. Once a noble follower of Selûne, he couldn't reconcile his faith with his wife's death, and turned to Shar. He thought Shar could protect him from his grief, but when he lost Isobel, he decided it wasn't enough. Finally, he turned to Myrkul, refusing to play by the rules of life and death and revived Isobel. Perhaps he hoped that by becoming "death's master," he could finally free himself of the pain death had caused him. I believe he was a paladin not out of faith, but because he thought the gods could harden him. To escape loss, he served a goddess of loss. To deny death, he served a god of death. But no oath could fill his emptied heart. And in another life, he could've been a hero.
Yeah it's a shame. He really was an interesting character. You gotta feel for his situation for sure. Wanting to do everything for his daughter trying to bring her back. And then turning to this twisted gods and well it went all downhill from there. He definitely could have been a hero in another life.
Nice fight! You got some terrible luck for a change haha, Myrkul's entrance is so impressive and Aylin after the fight, her fury is so raw, act 2 ending really is fantastic. God I feel you, there's so many awesome heavy armors and it's only gotta get worse, just live vicariously through the other companions haha. Some cleric subclasses can wear it, fighters and paladins, and even ranger is you take Ranger Knight as an option.
such and awesome fight!!! Things are pushing forward so quick now. I cant wait to see Baldur's Gate and just walk around and see the story there. I really enjoyed this act alot! The toughness of not wearing heavy armor is crushing me atm so much that I'm considering changing to maybe fighter Pally lol. Cleric would be so interesting on Ari lol
Hi there!!! I'm quite absent right now because I'm moving to another city... Have to do some catching up with that videos of yours! Great fight with the boss. It took me ages to defeat Myrkul and Kethric... Maybe because I played as a druid... That summons though, are very helpful! Keep it up 🎉 Great video my friend! Cheers from Kazakhstan!
no worries my friend I hope all goes well with your move! These vids will always be here thank you for the support on the channel and I hope you enjoy the catch up.
never seen Aylin push someone out of the ring before. How nice of her to get Shadowheart out haha I put most of my eggs in one basket when it comes to this fight. I put True Strike and Sanctuary on Aylin as much as possible. Though in your fight, Aylin was blind for most of it so that's why she kept missing xP
lol such a cool fight it was hilarious that she just pushed her like that. I'm glad Minthara was here with them glorious smites they def helped a bunch.
Was so excited for this ep! That dryad was an absolute MVP 😂 and i get how you feel about heavy armor-they're all so good. I always play as a martial class just bc I love the heavy armors in this game.
@@atlaspx the dryad for the win!!! Can't believe she did so well I love it!! And I know right!!! Heavy armor is so glorious it's a darn shame we can't wear it on Barbarian. As much as I love Barbarian it does hinder me from fully playing the way I want to at times sadly.

Your onto something and it's true completely I believe I did the same for Pally and Barb when we did that. But yeah we need to go into fighter first. Sad thing is I don't think rage will work if we equip heavy armor?? But im not sure fully.
Man, the villains in this game are next level, last time I was so amazed was with Gaunter O'Dimm, Raphael, Gortash and Ketheric are all phenomenal! Myrkul's entrance is one of the most memorable parts of this game! Anyway idk if Larian fixed Aylin's AI or what but mine always goes for the brains and wastes all her smites :D A little pro tip that might help a little to offset that great weapon mastery, put oil of accuracy on your weapon! ;)
Odimm has got to still be my favorite of all time but the ones in this game are so close it's crazy. Larian has crushed it. This seriously is the best game I've ever got a chance to play next too Witcher 3 and it's not even close. The modern RPGs are definitely spearheaded by these two games. Aylin was fine for me I think but she missed the entire time kinda 😂
My man, average enemies are very easy to defeat so you're usually not prepared for bosses. Bosses have high AC so you gotta maximize hit chance. You can buff your allies with oil of accuracy, bless, bardic inspiration and many other stuff. You can get advantage on ur attacks with Minty's vow of enmity, Ari's reckless attack or knocking enemies prone. YOu can also attack the boss with an acid arrow to bring his AC down by 2 points (which is huge). If you manage to stun, or daze an enemy, they lose their dexterity bonus to their AC which is even better! Your minty is horrible at hitting anything because her stats are all over the place. You were using her with ranged weapons and not only she has low dex but she doesn't have sharpshooter either. She doesn't need any strength.
@@tetefather she absolutely obliterated the boss pretty much, single handedly beat him lol 🤣. Even poor Aylin was playing a game of miss. Yeah she definitely needs to be respec like I was saying many times and we will but she isn't terrible up in melee with Smites but could def be better. We will get her fixed one of these days 😂. I think my second run through the game I will be better at some situations and using the little things in combat. Still a lot to take in ATM and I'm definitely still learning as we push forward.
Conjure US is the normal spell. You get this spell, by putting US in your Inventory (like Scratchs ball). Summon US is there, because you placed it in your spellbar. US can't die, don't worry.
Lol 🤣 wild but smart. I could have did that with Aylin perhaps when she got downed. Super smart idea. I seriously thought Orin took her over or something considering her voice sounded like Orin.
During the Myrkul fight, I think the reason everyone (Dame Aylin and Minthara) kept missing was because moonbeam was activated. That spell acts as the sun and it’s sort of hard to hit when you’re blinded.
WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF GALE WAS THERE?? Not that I wanna be told about it, but my goodness how different stuff might have gone. No way he can self combust and suceed to blow up the elder brain right there and then. Dame Aylin took matters personal, but I guess we can't exactly blame her for her...outrage. I think a pretty serious conversation with Isobel is in order. Oh, by the way: What do you think may have happened if you killed her right after meeting her?
I have no idea but the way she said that I bet we would have had a choice to use it or not. I'm kind glad he wasn't there but I'm seriously curious what would have happened lol. I def understand her rage and anger. Just imagine what she would do to Shar. And if we would have killed her at the start I feel like Aylin might have actually been an enemy. Glad we didn't. This game has so much freedom of these choices.

Minthara is the reason for completing an honor run from the first attempt... so yes, she is a nuke in a drow body
Haha that's so awesome! I just need to tweak a few things with the build. But when she's up there in melee she hammers the enemies.
