Many episodes ago, when you first entered Act 2 and Mizora approached you, you said "she looks so blurry, is there something wrong with the graphics". I found it so funny you said that because she was actually using a projection of herself. Honestly, the only thing that changes by bringing different companions are a few lines of dialogue and you can convince Mizora to give Wyll a pretty good weapon. Edit: Unless it was added in a recent patch. Kressa Bonedaughter doesn't have any Speak with Dead dialogue. I doublechecked the wiki too, just in case. There are other things she tells you if you select different dialogue options, it's mostly unique to the Dark Urge.

The fact that we got the tab pole here and not the ship is kinda crazy.

Shame we have no clue how she ended up down there, but given that she was willing to free Wyll just like that makes it seem like a lethal situation even for her - even though she acted cool the second she was freed
Heyhey, great to see another BG3 episode! 1:39:17 The audio skipping is a known bug that happens mostly in the Mind Flayer Colony, and in rare cases also in a few other spots. If you ever come across it somewhere else, a quicksave and quickload should fix it. Another bigger dialogue bug that I've not seen happen in your playthrough, but you should definitely watch out for, is when it's your turn to choose dialogue and the only option is "1. Continue". For whatever reason the dialogue choices didn't properly load in and if you press to continue, it'll just randomly choose one of the dialogue options you're supposed to have. I've just seen it happen in someone else's playthrough where they had that dialogue bug when Shadowheart and Lae'zel were fighting back in act 1 and they ended up with Lae'zel straight up dead because they only had "1. Continue" as the option and that ended up in Shadowheart killing Lae'zel. So if you ever come across that dialogue bug where the choices are missing a quicksave and quickload will fix that and you'll see all the options you're supposed to have.

I know you're disappointed you didn't bring Wyll, but on the other hand I had never seen how that conversation plays out without him present so thank you for that! 😂 And you're right that the extra attack from fighter and barb won't stack just for some confirmation on that so you know you made the right choice lol. Also if you keep going down the fighter line to take it to 8 you'll get that last perk to pick up on savage attacker like you wanted. Ari is going to be just smoking everyone lol

You should actually give The Witness serious consideration. It is a puzzle game, but was the only puzzle game I was addicted to watching an LP! It is one of those once in a lifetime games. I could never play bc I cant do puzzles, but I know you could solve the games mystery!
When you started going back for Us and Shovel i almost thought you were gonna forget about the room and miss being able to free Zevlor, but I'm glad that wasn't the case. Also it's super impressive you were able to get the brain puzzle done yourself on basically the first try. I've never been able to do it without a visual guide, though it's also way harder to do using controller since the camera is weirder (or at least that's my excuse and I'm sticking with it lol)
hahah oh no I was def going back our little friends needed help they got stuck its so funny because next EP they get stuck again and I need to throw them to fix it lmao. That puzzle was tough I def had alot of trial and error I had to cut out like 15 mins of just staring at the nodes.
That dialogue cutting out at the end is something that happens consistently in certain areas for me and for others so not just you don't worry. It happens alot here in the Mind Flayer Colony especially if you have Wyll with you for the freeing Mizora scene it's a tad annoying but not too bad. Just another weird dialogue bug you kinda have to get used to seeing now and again like the "Continue" bug though that one is much much worse since it can screw you over.

Great episode! Congrats with this puzzle thing) Lots of interesting has happened. As someone who played a custom character first, and Durge second, this area was very interesting, some new stuff, and some old, but in a different light. Like some things begin to make more sense, since you understand they are about Durge. Btw, I was heavily out of slots too in this moment, and I’ve just started using scrolls, they are very helpful. And yeah, it’s hard to know, which characters better to take in your party each time, but don’t worry too much about it, have your fun)
I really enjoyed this one as well. The stuff we are learning as we go about are past is super interesting. The dark urge stuff is so numerous in the story thus far. Haha I actually used a scroll next EP and it was a life saver and made the fight alot smoother. And yeah its super unfortunate that we didn't bring Wyll but its ok it gives us more to see on another run. I'm excited for it!
I am BEGGING you just go full paladin melee for minthara. Her smites are SO powerful if u get here to 16/18 strength, her and Karlach are amazing frontliners, u wont regret it
oh I know I did the build on Ari he was a beast but I'm loving the Bard Pally combo but the thing is I'm trying to do it ranged but its just not working out the way I wanted sadly.
think about it, if palas (or bards for that matter. - or probably in combination it gets worse...) could excel in range, too, what couldn't they do? I'm sorry but some things are maybe a bid much even for the many very powerful options the game offers :) 😊 @@Bowskii

@wendestein9092 I know it's a sad thing but I like doing different things and unique stuff. I love going against the trend/meta in games. But sadly it's pretty much a pipe dream just like Ari trying to be a Bard and Barbarian. It's fun to mess with it though.

So we do get a double extra attack? Since we got one already from fighter does it actually stack and give us 2 extra attacks. So main hit then extra attack times 2. Then action surge main attack and 2 extra?
@ Someone please correct me if I’m wrong, but I do believe that would be the case. If you combine that with Bloodlust elixir you would also get another attack per turn if you killed an enemy. At that point you could dismiss the parade, leave companions at camp and just solo the rest of the game.
lmao I'm seriously considering a solo run at some point for the challenge maybe after I beat a honour run first. I would love to do a honour run in the custom setting but turn off the one save file just to make the game super hard but still get a chance to save and stuff as I go. I wont get the achieve but it would be alot of fun and good practice.
@@Bowskii Again, I could be wrong, but I believe you can save whenever, and continue on in regular honor mode after you die. You just don’t get the golden die at the end. Honor mode is quite intimidating to me but I’ll probably try it before long. Which is probably the same as when I’ll get killed. :)
@Bowskii The extra attack from barbarian wouldn't do anything since you already have an extra attack passive from fighter, and you can only have one on a character at a time. The passive that allows you to do 3 attacks per action will be called "Improved Extra Attack"
yeah she's rocking Phalar and another finesse sword I cant remember the name fully atm. But she also has some really solid had crossbows. She's so tricky because of paladin and using ranged weapons. But maybe we can drop her Str a bit as I would rather use her on the bows until I'm ready to get in there and smite. But then with smite it goes of Chr I think and not str.
@Bowskii I've never tried it yet but if your paladin's dex is higher than strength, and they're using finesse weapons, divine smites scale off dex. Charisma stats dont do anything to smite damage Im pretty sure
well shit that's so weird if it don't. But I like that it don't considering if I went back to pally on Ari I wont be doing spells so no need for high charisma then.
so unfortunate after the EP I thought the same and thought it might have been on me so I changed to dynamic sound for next EP which it def didn't fix but also made the music and sounds effects extremely high. Super unfortunate but I evened it out as best I could in my render device but yeah it def must be a known bug and not just for me. Changing the dynamic sounds from high to low was a bad mistake on my part on the next EP but its not bad it was worth a shot to see if it fixed it but def didn't.
If you wanna good ranged option for a palladin, add 2 lvls in warlock, get her eldritch blast and it will scale with charisma instead of dex, can even go to 3 for pact of the blade so even your melee will use charisma, that let's you dump strenght entirely and put points in dex for better initiative :) This is getting intense, can't wait for your reaction to that final act2 boss fight! As for Kressa, you read a book in Balthazar lab about how annoyed he is that she became crazy after losing her pet or something like that, it was about you! And the dialogue bug is common it seems, I get the same thing in my game, I thought maybe it's a memory leak or something but doesn't seem so.

Probably buggy since your save is almost a year old while the game has been updated alot since then. Dunno but might be smart to stop the updates since theres a big new update coming in the beginning of next year.
I wouldn't think that would matter as most of the saves are new slotted saves. It's like when we came to this area specifically and just that convo it got buggy which is so odd. A lot of the updates seem to have fixed any bugs we had in the past. Might be an area thing but again I'm not sure. We will probably be done before the next update I feel.

Perhabs Ari - or the dark urge - was once a major player in their schemes, but threatened their plans and thus tried to get rid of him? Certainly doesn't fit seamlessly, but that's a creepy amount of reasonable stuff in my opinion. PS: Who the heck is Orin?? Was she the woman that betrayed Ari?
I'm not sure but I think it was written by the Orin person. I kinda read it wrong at the end. But I did put two and two together when I edited it. From the Bone daughter lady it seems like this Orin person might have actually been the one that was taunting Ari outside of his cage. But I wanna know how we are all connected.. I'm sure we will know but it seems like this dark urge has state with anything that is either Bhaal focused from what we read in past codex's or now this whole colony in a way. Father they will die for you... Ari says this none stop now. But who father is that's a mystery. And the butler said something about it as well if I remember correctly.

If Minthara is using a finesse weapon (like Phalar Aluve or Larethian's Wrath) she needs no high strength. 😊
