We asked our conservative Priest if we could have a kneeler. He asked why we wanted to make a production out of it. 😮He said we could kneel on the ground. I told him it would be a production for me to try to get up without help.
My Catholic Church in Nova Scotia Canada is not Catholic.
No confession
The preists do not like my friend and I make it clear they don't want us to receive communion on the TONGUE.
One told us that it is not a good idea.
We must wait and receive communion last after everyone else.
We found a Catholic Church that has confession and it is not a problem to receive communion on the TONGUE.
I searched until I found a church where the priest would tell us how to live through the current insanity. Because he tells the truth, someone burned our church to the ground on the anniversary of the Dobbs decision. He's still telling the truth int he parish hall. I wish priests could understand what a difference it makes in our lives.

Our Priest has done all the things you have talked about... prays the Mass facing Liturgical east, placed Altar rails back in and insists we receive at the rail kneeling/standing ( Latin Mass every Sunday where everyone kneels and receives on tongue), eliminated the very distracting sign of peace and he gives true Catholic teachings from the Pulpit. He leads by example with reverence for the Eucharist. Thank you Lord for our holy Priest.

What I learned is that Communion in the hand was done under false pretenses. Fr. Chris Alar had a wonderful talk and the Bellarmine Forum also had a Podcast on it. We need to exclusivity bring back Communion on the Tongue.

I have an olive wood st. Benedict rosary
A couple of years ago I went yo a church in Rapid City , S. D. where they had traditional Latin Mass and a man came into church in a suit and a fedora. In that church they still have the pinch hook that were there for men's hats. Man, that really made an impression on me. I loved that mass.
I remember those pinch hooks for men's hats from my Grandparents' Church!
When we lived in Nebraska, we went to the Latin mass for 4 years every Sunday and Monday. It was so beautiful..I remember the people dressing up with hats. The women wore dresses. vales, reverence, holiness, confession before Mass. I hope they never take that Mass. away in Rapid City.
I remember seeing those hooks in a church I went to as a young child before they tore everything out and modernized.
My priest does not do the sign of peace ever since the virus. I feel completely awkward at mass at another parish or retreat when they do it. My priest is also fantastic and is introducing Latin parts into the mass. He also got us all used to ad orientum by switching between that and the Vatican 2 alter ever other week. Then he just stayed ad orientum and never went back to the other alter. It is fantastic!

Are you @ All Saints Parish in IN? Since CV, many parishes still cling to no running around, hand shaking, embracing …while the priests said nothing about it. I always found it senseless & disturbing while we should already be preparing for receiving the Holy Eucharist.

I have some advice for young Husbands. I have a 6 year old and 2 year old and since the age of being able to see colors and understand patterns I let them know who JESUS CHRIST is. My 6 year old finds the sacrifice of CHRIST in everything she see's even in a cartoon or movie. If not I show her. With something like "look baby that character sacrificed his life for his people like CHRIST did for us" and she will respond with "like you will for us?" And I will say "yes" because we are the head of our domestic CHURCH. Be a protector of the mind and bodies of the people GOD gave u to protect. VIVA CRISTO REY!!
This was good I often complain about how priests don’t talk about the moral issues and our cowards and I cam to the realization that I am also a coward by not speaking up on truths with my children.
Five minutes into this talk and I have not heard the real blame - THE BISHOPS! Imagine if they spoke in unison condemning the reception of Holy Communion to pro-abortion/pro-same sex marriage politicians! No, they’re too busy canceling Holy Priests! My “adopted” Bishop is Bishop Strickland! The only one who stands up for our faith! 🙏

I spent my kids’ childhood being truthful about the faith and moral issues and now, if I say what I believe about the issues today and right and wrong, I have a couple grown kids who will get loud and angry and insinuate that their father and I are crazy to believe what we’ve always taught and believed. So it degenerates into a shouting match and very hostile. It becomes so hurtful I fall into despair. So it isn’t that we don’t speak up-we have and it’s no use. Those kids are gone and we can only pray for them.
Keep praying. They will come around when truth is revealed.
You are not in the minority. A cross of these times & sign of these times. Stay faithful & pray daily rosary at minimum for their salvation & God will take care of it.

In my experience, demons have been infiltrating even the prayer groups dividing people to stop the group prayer. See the demonic and refuse to hold any negative thoughts about others staying focused and praying together.
Sitting in the presence of our Lord during Eucharistic Adoration at least weekly is HOW we increase our belief in the real presence of our Lord in the Eucharist… HE is the source of our faith- spend time with HIM!!! 🙏
To embrace the Truth is to embrace Jesus.

It's as though Jesus spoke to me right through the Monsignor!!!

I was just thinking of writing the same thing!!! He is a great Priest/ Monsignor and does not hesitate to speak the Truth. Very intelligent and easy to listen to. Very good guy, respectfully. ❤️
I’ve expressed my concerns to siblings and relatives who don’t live right. I’ve basically given up talking to them because they fly off the handle, yell, slander me online, and in one case, called my doctor because he thought I was mentally unwell. They KNOW they aren’t living right. For me to keep reminding them is counterproductive. I pray for them and they know that as well. When around them, I try to give a good example, but they pretty much dismiss anything “religious” I do as a sign of mental instability. Three of four have cut off contact because I refused the C-sickness treatment and lost just about everything as a result. (I’m not only a selfish, granny killing, walking petri dish of contagion, but I’m crazy!)
Sadly, what you're going through is in ALL families, basically all we can do for them is to pray for them

The last eight to ten years, just about everyone trying to live the Catholic Faith is struggling to deal with dysfunctional, ‘not religious’ or fallen away family members. An increasing number of us are outcasts or have had to pull ourselves and our kids away from family because of the danger to souls.

I'm nearing the end of the book 'The Way of Divine Love' by Sr Josefa Menendez - her diary from the early 1920's , she was a suffering soul. Here is something Jesus said to her about humanity, that really speaks to our times also: '' Faith in no way impedes civilization and progress. The more it is rooted in individuals and peoples, the more wisdom and learning increase, for God is infinite in wisdom and knowledge. But whenever faith is completely lacking, peace, civilization and true progress likewise vanish....for God is not in war...and in their place come enmities, clash of opinions, class wars and within man himself, rebellion of passions against duty. All that is noble in humanity is exchanged for revolt, insubordination and warfare...Let ourselves be convinced by faith and you will be great. Let yourselves be ruled b faith and you will be free, live by faith and you will escape eternal death. '' It's an amazing book!
Thank you Monsignor Charles Pope, Fr. Heilman, & Doug for this encouraging podcast. It is good to know that there are priests etc. that are aware of what is going on and not afraid to speak up. Besides doctrine we need teach our children how much Jesus & Mary love us, about eternity, about hell, etc. We need to pray with them throughout the day. Morning, meals, driving places, and bedtime. Pain can be offered up and this is a tremendous blessing.

Our Cardinal Blaise Cupich had requested that the St. Michael prayer be not said after Mass in our parishes. He objects to the battle terminology. That's all of Chicago and suburbs. In my home parish we stopped saying it outloud together after Mass. The Polish say a Rosary after their Mass and still say it after the Rosary. I still say it after English Mass myself as our Priests process out. 😢

I used to participate in the sign of "Peace" BUT after seeing this Bergoglio's Pontificate attack on sacred Tradition I decided to actually get deeper into our Tradition and after a throughout analysis I concluded what you just said and now I don't even bother to turn around at that part of every NO Mass. Great show Fr. Heilman, Doug and Monsignor Pope. Silence now in the face of open heresy and apostasy is complicity. We have all at some time orother sinned, many of us gravely, and I decided to make a general confession and really come “clean.” I was not intentionally holding back in confession and I have always been a regular at confession. While getting good Catholic direction from the saints and the Catechism, I realized that even advice given years ago in confession was in error. I did a very thorough examination of conscience and took responsibility for not knowing the faith as I ought to have known it. Since that confession, I have to relate, I realize that it was as if I put my umbrella down in a rain storm and felt the love and forgiveness of God wash over me more than ever, and now make sure I examine my conscience, read the Catholic catechism by Spirago and I am not the same person. I am far from perfect, but my contrition for sin is much healthier. I highly recommend this to anyone. I was not a lapsed Catholic, I was at times a stupid Catholic, and I feel God’s love, forgiveness and the Holy Spirit’s gift of counsel and fortitude much more. My rosary is daily and I pray it, not say it-and try very hard to pray the three mysteries every day. Thank you for the advice and guidance. I have a long way to go, but I am pushing through and am not afraid to speak truth even tho’ unpopular, when the time is right. I am not sanctimonious because there is no place for that.
Wonderful post! I think many of us are guilty of not knowing our catechism, myself included. I’ve purchased many books to read & research now & I’m working my way through the Bible using The Great Adventure Bible & study guide with Fr Mike Schmitz. I also compare it with the Duey Rheims & I have whole set of commentary. You cannot get enough knowledge about our Faith. We must all pray as many daily rosaries as we can & start behaving like our ancestors in our devotions & sacraments. Every day.
At about 52 minutes the topic of lack of reverence at the mass and belief in the real presence is brought up. A simple thing parishioners can do is make a commitment to dress for mass... at least dress slacks and collared shirt for the men, same approach for the women. Get there a few minutes early even. Genuflect going into the pews. Sing the hymns. Make a reverent reception of the Eucharist. At the very least, be a visible example to the congregation and slowly, invite others to dress for mass, show reverence. Even in social settings, when we "dress up" it has an effect on our behavior, in how we see ourselves and others. Start with the simple and visible things and grow from there.

Our present pastor moved our high altar back to the center after 57 years and just now had communion rails put back in. I was 14 when the altar got moved and now about to turn 72. I got to see the turn around in my lifetime! I am so encouraged!
Speaking of the Latin Mass, he started saying it a year ago at our now mission parish and is teaching our second priest as well. Since our Archbishop himself, says the Latin Mass, nothing changed here in Portland/Western Oregon Archdiocese except the newly ordained are not allowed. But the Seminarian who was at our parish for a year did learn to say the Latin Mass so praying things will change. Meanwhile 3 priests in our area do, and fill in for each other.
Love the Blessed Mother! Never, ever let go of her guiding hand that will lead us to Jesus. Pray the Rosary daily for her intentions. Love her by living in the Divine Will of her Son, Jesus.

Things I wish I’d done differently: Take your kids out of school. Pray the Rosary with them every day and take them to the First Fridays and Saturdays. My younger daughter was homeschooled and the practice of her faith is much stronger than her sister who went through THE BEST CATHOLIC SCHOOLS in our city. Thank you good men for speaking out for children. I have held on to my daughters for dear life but it’s been a struggle and it’s been prayer that’s saved them. I want to encourage everyone who’s losing their kids to model their faith and to pray pray pray! It may take 20 years but they will not be lost!

I think God for 27 Latin mass a week in my parish in San Diego which I find amazing, especially since California is the most liberal state there is but my goodness am I blessed!

Living off grid would be the best.Have a Christian library and good wholesome literature. Teaching and living in a structured environment. I knew how to live until teenage years in a public school system got ahold of me then nothing made sense I came from a catholic family stray far away until I was in my 50s then I saw how much sense my father had because his faith in Jesus was unmoved.
Those who obey the first commandment will stand strong. If God comes second in my life or I put anyone else in fist place I will be challenged when those I put my trust in, fail, or fall short of God's Word to love one another as Christ has loved us..
Remember that God must come before our politics, our economics and our country.

Fr. Heilman, I've been praying the prayer of surrender by St. Ignatius for the past 4years, but I must admit, it's difficult to surrender and give it all up.🙏❤
Sometimes it helps to turn the second half inside out: instead of acknowledging that everything we have and cherish is from God, try to tell God that you love and cherish all He has given you (even the "bad" stuff). It might turn your heart, similar to how praying for someone who has wronged you helps with forgiveness.

I pray for the Divine Will to be done in all things, especially in the Church!!! We all need the Divine Will of God in our daily life. The Human Will has to be united to the Divine Will. We ARE THE CHURCH or we are nothing. Our identity is in Christ, not in ourselves only...

THANK YOU, FR HEILMAN!!! I HATE, and I mean DESPISE the sign of peace!! From day ONE. I'm in the church to worship. I am NOT there to socialize. I'm disgusted by the unavailabity of communion on the tongue. It all is disorienting and takes our eyes and attention off our Savior. The talking in the aisle after mass. The inappropriate mode of dress. I stopped going years ago. I have yet to find a reverent NO mass. I'm seeking and praying for a Tridentine or Eastern rite mass. There are none in my area. I watch a live Tridentine mass on YT every Sunday and any weekday that I possibly can. I continue to pray for one nearby.
