HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 12 сен 2023
- Fr. Chad Ripperger is our guest on this episode. He breaks down the powerful devotion to Our Lady of Sorrows and why it is so important to have this devotion to her as we fight the spiritual battle that we are all in the midst of. The demons fear the Mother of God! It is wise to stay close to her.

The seven promises given to St Bridget of Sweden for those who devote themselves to her Seven Sorrows.
1. I will grant peace to their families.
2. They will be enlightened about the Divine Mysteries.
3. I will console them in their pains, and I will accompany them in their work.
4. I will give them as much as they ask for as long as it does not oppose the adorable will of my Divine Son or the sanctification of their souls.
5. I will defend them in their spiritual battles with the infernal enemy and I will protect them at every instant of their lives.
6. I will visibly help them at the moment of their death-they will see the face of their mother.
7. I have obtained this grace from my divine Son, that those who propagate this devotion to my tears and dolors will be taken directly from this earthly life to eternal happiness, since all their sins will be forgiven and my Son and I will be their eternal consolation and joy.
Best advice I’ve ever gotten as a convert, if a priest is not devoted to Our Lady, tread lightly. Ten years now and it’s night and day difference. Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us ❤️🔥🙏🏻🌹
May I be of some assistance my lady? ✝️🗡️

So true!
Our Lady of Sorrows brought peace to my family. I began the devotion last October 2022. Within two weeks, my daughter, who had not spoken to me for two years, made contact. Today, we are so close, and we both know that our relationship has been healed. I'm seeing the fruits of the Holy Spirit retun to my family. My son is reading scripture, and my other daughter made a rosary. She is still attached to the new age movement, and slowly moving back to catholism. My new age daughter started a weekly family Zoom call that we join and ask for and offer prayers for. If you knew my family history, you would know what a miracle this is. Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us.
This gives me so much hope
Is there a difference between the devotion and Our Lady of Sorrows Rosary? I want to start but keep finding two different types when I search.
@@kelligibbs3004if you pray the Lady of Sorrows' Rosary, you are devoted to her. I was 11 days into my 54 days Novena to her, when 2 miracles started to happen. One about my son's change of heart and another about our house.
I read them once a year then I forget them... 11:18 🤔
Wow! Praise God! I am encouraged by your testimony.. I have an estranged daughter and son.. . so heartbreaking...
My husband has throat cancer..a larynjectomy..
Can not speak..often trouble breathing..he had a large Crucifix placed above him..when he could not breath..He wrote down..
' He could not breath"..he prays his rosary constantly..
Wears his Mother Marys
scapular..and when each problem arises he points up which he wrote to me..means..
" Give it
to God "
WE PRAISE GOD for allowing us to stNd at the foot of the Cross with her.
God Bless You both🙌🏻 May Our Lady continue to dispense the graces of our Lord to you both so that you can continue to live life in abundance🙌🏻🙏🏻❤️✌️
As I recommended to another person in the comments section regarding cancer, please look into Ivermectin. In addition to a host of health benefits, it cures cancer.
May God bless you and your husband and may Our Lady of Sorrows bring you comfort. 🙏✝️🌹
God bless you both, very sorry to hear of his struggles. Praying you both will receive peace and reassurance from Our Lady of Sorrows. 🙏🏼
What a beautiful and powerful testimony! Sending up a Memorare for both of you!
Prayers. Thank you for sharing the heroic witness. I am on a tracheostomy and require the use of a ventilator due to muscular dystrophy. And I am moved and inspired by both of you.
Our Lady of Sorrows revealed to me my most predominant defect, which she told was pride. I had been praying about it and about five or six days in that she told me by “dropping it into my head” in a clear voice when I wasn’t even thinking about it. I love our Blessed Mother. God is great!
Such a blessing!
So many of us have to much pride and lack humility.
I realized this when it came to communion kneeling and on the tongue. My pride and laziness had me standing and receiving in my hand. Allowing another person to put Jesus on our tongue requires a bit of humility. Same for kneeling, when most stand.. it’s easier to ‘fit in’. And have concern that others may think you’re just posturing to seem more holy. I’ve started just concentrating on reverence for Jesus and think of it as a good example for others who may feel the desire to also kneel.
Confession is my other humility… admitting all my faults to Jesus through a priest. The more I go, the more I need to search my imperfections. Gods helped me knock out my biggest most obvious fault, (it wasn’t pride.. that’s one of my continual faults though) so now I’m working / struggling on the less obvious faults.
Love having Our Lady help us as a wonderful mother does with her children, whom she loves and wants to help us love God as perfectly as we can as well!
@@j2muw667Thanks for that insight. Yes, you nailed it about kneeling and receiving on the tongue. I keep making excuses “the Church says I can do it either way”. I don’t like standing out. Who does, right?
I do much better with Reconciliation tho. It is such a great feeling after making a good confession. God Bless you!
She revealed pride to me also. I prayed and she answered very quickly.
@@cindyc6328 truly amazing
@@cindyc6328 I’ve been praying and asking that she reveal my biggest defect. Nothing yet. Things barge into my head sometimes and when I’m thinking about it I hear all kinds of stuff but I have to ignore all of it. It has to be something that I can’t just chalk up to imagination. I know if she speaks to me I’ll know it.
We are on the verge of The Triumph of Her Immaculate Heart! Vivá Christo Rey! 🙏🏽📿
Just before I sort of left the church a priest there was telling us the rosary was old fashioned, he was also not doing confession any more, only group confession, we were told to tell our sins to God , I have been pretty much away from the church for twenty some years, even looking into other churches, it is only lately I started Catholic programs on u tube that my heart is longing for the church again. The church that my parents took us to was Our Lady of Seven sorrows.God bless you all🙏

I bought the deliverance prayers for the laity by Fr Ripperger in order to pray for my 30 year old son who is in a homosexual relationship that he be released from this sin. I also started about a year ago praying the Seven Sorrows devotion per his recommendation. Our lady delivered me from my desire for alcohol and haven’t been drinking for 9 months. I’m walking and exercising more now. In addition to Fasting from alcohol, I’m praying much more now every day as well.
Thank you Fr Ripperger. Thank you Blessed Mother. Thank you Jesus.
You have to 'buy' a prayer? Wow,that's pretty messed up.

Many prayers written by other holy people have wonderful ways to help those of us, who are less eloquent, to remember all that we want to pray about.
And find new ways to praise God.
There are rules of God, which even evil must obey. Many prayers take into account that evil influences must obey well prayed prayers.
And, just a Jesus taught us to pray in the Lord’s Prayer, which is a written prayer, other holy people also can teach us ways to pray.
God bless you in your prayers and on your journey to heaven.
Excellent episode. Thank you Doug, Fr. Heilman and Fr. Ripperger. I was doing some chores as I was listening and came across my beloved mamma’s jacket. As I checked her pockets, would you believe that, I found a medal of Our Lady of Sorrows! How providential! God bless you all. Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us. 🙏🏼
A couple of years ago, I was in a very dark place in my life. I was walking through my house and saw a medal on the floor. I picked it up and was overcome: it was a medal of Our Lady of Sorrows. I sensed that it was her way of telling me she was with me and would show me how to suffer my pain with her and like her. She is such a good mother!

Lifesite spread hatred. God cannot tolerate hate. It comes from the pits of hell. Threatening lives is contrary to those who claim to be "pro-life". You cannot love God and mammon. Metaphorically speaking.
I really wish my parents had brought me up in a home where the rosary was said every day.
Our Lady must surely have a crown waiting for Fr Ripperger. Very humbling priest.
I had a prompt to say a 54 day Seven Sorrows Rosary starting on the feast of St .Charbel ending on her feast day. This is her time. She is so powerful! Thanks to all three of you. May God bless you. Thank you Fr. R and Fr. H. I pray for you all the time, and for Doug too.
This is Our Mother’s time. I know she is bringing me back. I have been having such a hard time doing anything, reading daily readings for the day, saying the Rosary, just so much. The only thing I’ve hung onto is the Novena to Our Lady of Sorrows with Ken & Janelle. Mother Mary is helping me I believe.
So did I! That’s amazing @Kathleenprice662!
I feel now to continue this devotion for the rest of my life. It’s such a powerful prayer and the graces received are so beautiful 🙏🏻💙🕊
I did the same novena and had so many graces and miracles happen! On Friday, the feast of Our Lady of Sorrows, I was officially offered the job that I had been interviewing for!
I get emotional because Our Lady is SO good to me when I don’t deserve it. There were times I didn’t pray the rosary with my heart and was distracted, yet she still lets me know that she is with me. Having a devotion to Our Lady of Sorrows brings me so much peace and comfort. The novena is so powerful, I beg everyone to do it and have faith. Console Our Lady while meditating on her Sorrows.
This is not a magic trick, so even if what you were praying for was not obviously answered, have faith that she is interceding with God to give you the best outcome according to God’s will. Ask her for the ability to see the graces and miracles in your everyday life and your eyes will be opened.
Wow Nobody finer than Fr Rippinger So special 🙏🏻📿 Our beloved Mother pray for us

I have been doing the 54 day Our Lady of Sorrows Novena since you brought it up and even though it's only been halfway through doing it, i have already received small graces from Our Lady.
I saw that scene too in The Chosen where Mother Mary was frantically looking for Jesus and it seemed like a reaction from any ordinary mother or perhaps there are even moms who don't appear as frantic as that. I think Mother Mary is more accurately portrayed in The Passion of Christ movie.
For sure!
Revival! Revival! Revival!
This is what the Catholic Church needs. This is one thing the Protestant have on is they are not afraid to go out and preach.

Thank you both for having Fr Ripp on again!! We need him and you all in these dark times. Doug, the poetic license taken by "The Chosen" has bothered me since season 2. It's confusing many people. I no longer watch it. And spot on Father H, we are much worse than Sodom. Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us, amen! 🙏
Amen, exactly, and amen!
I could not agree with you more. I have never watched The Chosen because of a commercial I saw before the series began. When I saw the scene where Mary had just given birth to Jesus, and they had Her appear like a normal woman would look, exhausted, sweating, etc., when we believe She had a virgin birth. In the book, Mystical City of God, Blessed Mother describes His birth much differently. St. Joseph turns away from Her for Her privacy and She has a virginal birth, tended to by Angels. I was turned off and decided not to watch the show.
@@brigidomalley4035 Hi! I love your beautiful name! And sad but true. There were some wonderful moments in season 1 - and Jonathan Roumey (plays Jesus) is devoutly Catholic - but the errors/poetic license are far too misleading. Even grave. Sad!

Great show Fr. Heilman and Doug-always trying to find guests to make us stronger. Fr. Ripperger is a definite treasure and a loyal servant of Our Lady. It amazes me how many people believe they will be fine in this tyrannical world if they just go along with whatever the tyrants order-get a shot-don’t want to but I better so I can keep food on the table! Any agreement that sells out a value or virtue has no value or virtue. We cannot say or think we will do the right things when a big choice comes along because we cannot even make the correct small choices Thank you, Fr. Ripperger, because you have been trying to show people these things for years, and have helped so many people. And I can relate that turning my own life into one of sacrifice has been a long, hard and slow process. I look at my prayer times during the day and evening as my absolute necessity in this life.
I feel that some say I am to extream I get laughed at for me being a devote Catholic and some avoid me no I am not extream I am how others should be and how God wants us all to be but some people don't want to be like that they have one foot the world and have one in faith they say they faith but do they pray for me to never give up my faith and not give in to the world influence I want to be how God wants all of us to be and not what world says to be
What a priest Father Ripperger, God bless you always from Northern Ireland just wish our priests over here would educate us like your doing, God bless 🙏🌹❤️☘️
Thank you for this beautiful message, we are blessed to have such wonderful priest in our lives . Our lady of sorrows please pray for us , Amen ❤🎉
Pretty much every desert father that I've read on spiritual warfare in the monastic life (both east and west) states if you cannot curb your appetite for food, you will have a very hard time curbing your appetite for other things. And vice versa it is easier to fast from other sins when you disciple your gullet. So, if there ever was a first step in the spiritual practice, it's there.
I’m struggling with fasting.
It’s difficult when no one else around me sees the need.
And gluttony is a sin I’m working through now.. with the help of my guardian angel and the Holy Spirit!
I fall often currently.
@@j2muw667
It is like my not craving meat or sweets until the two days of the week I fast!!! I think that is the point. It is a great way to turn my thoughts from food to a time of prayer and good old “offering it up” which many of us heard and knew as kids, but it is not used anymore.
May God bless all of you for your ministry and time. Let your light so shine.

I hesitated to watch the Chosen but eventually I watched it. They lost me when the episode referred to Our Lady as an unwed mother. The other thing that bothers me about The Chosen is how the actors are all over the place acting like a bunch of fools. Jim Cavezial never acted like that.
I am not a fan of The Chosen either. It just bugs me. I prefer The Passion of the Christ or The Bible.

I knew this when I prayed my first rosary in 2019...
I was shown so much,, and fell on my knees, rivers of tears flowed..
Because I was a sinner...
Purity of our mother took the lusts of the flesh from me... Now celibate and sober...
And have prayed the seven sorrows every Saturday.... Since then...
Stand with Mary at the foot of the cross.. The rosary everyday and I try to say more than one...
The cross, sufferering, redemption. Cling to the holy Cross..
With our mother..

Fr. Heilman mentioned the bishops back the flame of love? Well ... I don't trust the bishops except for a handful of them in the world. I will stay with the Deposit of Faith and approved Marian apparitions. I have no desire towards the flame of love. I have a devotion to the most holy rosary and the devotion of the Holy Face. The "flame of love devotions" are NOT approved by the Catholic Church, despite the likes of Father James Blount, promoting it. He seems to be unaware of the fact that we're not supposed to do so.

3 of my favorite Catholic men right there. Thanks boys. You are truly warriors in Christ!
Virgin Most Sorrowful, pray for us.
This past Aug. 15, I was going to pray the Sorrowful Mysteries Rosary (not the 7 Sorrows), so I put a video on of it, which I pray along with, then lay down on the couch with the Rosary in my hands, and fell asleep. I woke up about 20 minutes later, and the video was still playing. I was in a half asleep, half awake state, my eyes barely opening, and I saw two men praying intently. But they were from the Middle Ages. They were in a cathedral, kneeling at a stone altar. They wore chain mail and hooded, white heavy muslin tunics over the chain mail, sort of like a Knights Templar type of dress. But they did not wear the hoods on their heads. But I don't think they were Knights Templar because there was no big red cross on their tunics, but they could have been Crusaders. They definitely looked like warriors, and not just prayer warriors. These guys looked ready for physical battle. One of the men was closer to me and I could see his face and his chestnut colored brown hair very clearly. He was very devout and serious. He was from 17 years old, maybe up to 19 years old, but no older than that. The other man I couldn't see that well because the cathedral was sort of dark, and he was behind the other man and farther away from me. I watched the men pray, but they were not aware of my watching them. Later in the day, I remembered that Aug 15 is one of Mary's special days. Had I seen two of her male devotees--praying to her--a thousand years ago?
That's pretty amazing actually
From Brazil, I wish that Jesus, the Virgin Mary, and Saint Joseph bless the American nation and deliver it from all evil. Amen! ❤🔥🙏🏻
I believe that one of the elements (I won't be so bold as to add another Sorrow) of her Sorrows is that from Fatima on, the successive Popes have refused to do what she clearly requested. The hubris, the arrogance, the fear, the defiance of "Our Lady doesn't understand, things are complicated here" must be part of the deep sorrow Our Lady suffers KNOWING the global suffering of God's people, the souls lost from the spread of error, that could have been avoided if Her words, which were CLEAR AND SPECIFIC, were headed.
Fr. Ripperger video...I'm there & I love you too Fr. Heilman & Doug. Fr. H you're in our family's rosary intentions.
Thank you for such a beautiful show.

The Seven Sorrows Rosary is wonderful. I think because there is so much emotion in it that one can really meditate deeply on the sorrows. Especially as a mother I can feel these sorrows in a personal way. Our Lady of Sorrows, Pray for us. 🙏🏻📿 👑 ✝️💘
I have spent hundreds of hours meditating on our lady of sorrows and everytime I cry uncontrollably!!
So beautiful, so humble, so meek, and so unfortunately loveing, how can you not cry at her heart being torn out!!!!!
Blessed Mary Catherine Emmerich had visions - that it was MAGDELENE that was a mess (eyes swollen from crying, wailing loudly, and hair so disheveled). But, our Mother Mary was perfectly composed! Perfect virtue tho her Immaculate Heart suffered MOST! ♥️
Correct: "The Chosen" was not correct. Even if our Blsd LADY felt panic, it will be only in 3-9 seconds; because She would be placing all Her Sufferings to the Hands of our Heavenly FATHER right away, for She was in Communication with the FATHER in everything.
“HAIL TO THE CROSS, OUR ONLY HOPE!!” (3x)
Begging our Holy Mother for the grace to now say Three Mysteries of the Rosary every single day. 🙏🏼❤️🌹

I pray the seven Sorrows Chaplet every day and today we did a Public Rosary (and Divine Mercy) and did the Litany to the Sorrows of our Blessed Mother - and I have ALS!!
Virgin most sorrowful pray for us. Amen 🙏🏼
Most Precious Blood of Jesus Christ save us and the whole world.
Amen.
The Catholic modernist culture denies death. The resurrection without the cross is depicted on the statues suspended above altars. There is no cross , and wounds. Our Lady's greatest moment is missed. No wonder church attendance has been decimated.
That is soooo pro- testful. The N O MASS that I attend, the Crucifix is on the wall behind the priest and altar. I wish there was one on the altar. The devil entered the Church in the 20th Century for sure, how 😢 sad🙏
That bit about "Marys eyes being upon you."
That's so awesome.
A while back I was inspired after reading a bit from (Story of a soul) to ask God what type of Flower I was to him.
The next day one of the older lady's at my church that leads the rosary group hand made me a prayer bag.
She Said "I hope you like it. The pattern are Forget me nots! I wasn't sure if you'd like floral print."
I took it as God's answer to my prayer the day before.
I'm a revert and ex-pagan. So when this happened, I laughed/cried because I thought it was God telling me that he wouldn't leave me behind.
But then I read more into the flower. They're symbols of Fidelity and Also used to be called Mary's eyes.
And I thought that was cool but I didn't make the connection about her watching out for me till now.
Though I already have a deep love for Mama and I'm part of the millita of the Immaculata too. I'm signed up as a knight at the foot of the cross. Through consecration 💖
Thanks for sharing such a beautiful experience!!!
Makes my heart happy to hear others interactions from God and Mary!!!
May God continue to bless you through His mother!!

The Auxilium Christianorum (Help of Christians) is a wonderful daily prayer to invoke our Sorrowful Mother's protection. Consider also becoming an Auxiliary of the Dolorans.

This is why Fr. Ripperger takes up 50% of my hard drive. 😊
Dr John Bergsma asserts that Saint John was young enough that he was allowed at the Crucifixion site with the women.
The older apostles were considered a threat, so they were not allowed.
Thank you for this podcast . Our lady of sorrows is the devotion for these end times
Rippergers books has helped me so much! You are true blessing ❤Thank you Father !
The Flame of Love is God’s Divine Will which Our Lady’s whole life!
I have the "Mary" app on my phone. There is a virtual Seven Sorrows chaplet on there with a rosary. Just swipe up to the next bead and it leads you through the sorrows and prayers.
GOD BLESS YOU FOR INFORMING ME…. I will look for THAT app
Thank you so much for this pod cast. We need to seal ourselves, family. and everything we posses with the Precious Blood of Jesus. Keep ourselves confess and take the Eucharist everyday if you can, say our rosary everyday, the flame of love. I do the St Michael Chaplet, as well as the chaplet of the seven sorrow, I say chaplet of the Precious Blood of Jesus, psalm 91, 35, 51, 23 everyday and I feel pretty much protected. I carry exorcise water and oil and salt, I use it often as needed. It is very imp to visit Jesus in the Holy Eucharist. I wear my scapular, miraculous medal and Saint Benedict medal. I seal father and you all with the precious blood of Jesus
Father Ripperger has been fasting I think. He looks like he lost weight. God bless him.

I just purchased the Combat our lady of sorrows rosary!! I have been praying this rosary for over 5 years and have received sooooo many blessings from it! Thank you for your devotion to education is in our faith❤
Your speaking exactly on topic i have been reflecting, drawn too last few days. I love praying the 7 sorrowers od our lady at least on a Friday. I have an old deep meditative booklet by Carmelites i inherited from my late Father and treasure because its a dessert out there regards traditional prayers most precise and deeep in Tradition to pray as a resource. Id love to somehow have this little booklet reprinted?? Nothing ellse i have found is as poowerful a prayer for the 7 sorrowrs as this version. Its written from our ladies perspective and releates it to us. Its truly awake to our times despite being printed in 90's
