Absolute dream guitar, what an incredible piece of art. This channel is so great I genuinely can't believe we get to see all these amazing guitars and played by such an incredible guitarist for free almost every day.
Wtf!! This video left me all emotional 🥺🙏🏼 why isn’t he known all over the world Well he is but by us guitar and music fanatics! But lemmo should be know by everyone. Simply amazing
Amazing how many of these rarities come from Texas. When you drive past these tiny towns with old barns one can't help but wonder what other gems such as old cars and what not are hidden away in plain sight
Agreed. I seriously hate that overly relic'd aesthetic. Natural gigging wear does not equal overhand lobbed down a scree field on the side of the mountain.
That first song Lemmo is playing is such a great way too showcase any guitar. It shows the sensitivity, sustain, and timbre of the wood. So good. Does anyone know if that's a Lemmo original???
Nice !!! Like the '63 Jazzmaster the other day, custom color examples are probably worth more but this is perfect. I dislike 'relic' guitars but the honest wear of this has vibe thru the roof. Sounds good, too. Nice demo, Michael. I'm viewing this Sunday morning,,,i like the laid back'edness ;) Have a safe trip, Norm ! Looking forward to a vid of the load going into the shop. Those are always fun.
It's 3-tone but faded. 1959, 1960 Strats are often this way. Just like Les Paul Bursts from the same years, the red aniline dye they used fades because of UV light. Under the pickguard it's probably clearly 3-tone sunburst with red. Dream Strat. Sounds great.
Heute eine besonders schöne Folge. Norman ist wohl irgendwie auch ein Verrückter, wenn es um Gitarren geht... ich liebe diesen RUclips Kanal! (Auch ohne whuuuu huuuuuh)
The Lemmo Wizard does it once again, you can't please everyone all of the time but brother you do it most of the time. The impossible you do immediately, miracles take a little longer. Blessings to you Norm and Jen. All the way from Kruger Park in SA.
As a player of close to 60 years ... guitars are great! Jesus is better! Time is running out, guitar brothers. Make sure you know the Maker of the universe, and Savior of this world ...
I learned to play on a '63 that looks (not quite) as played as this one. As much as I hate to admit though the pickups or pots are very muddy but the owner wont let me do anything to it lol.
Stunning playing Michael....how you coax out those mids and get em to shine is exceptional....thanks...ps id sell my house for that strat! ( sadly i dont have one to sell!)
I'm not sure but I think this isn't the first time mike has said that a particular strat was the best one he has ever played. Regardless this is a great sounding instrument,
Unless it's a refin or something else that they didn't mention, it's 3TSB. In 1959, 1960 the red dye used to color the nitro was particularly susceptible to fading when exposed to UV light. It's the exact same thing going on with Les Paul Bursts from those years.
Norm I’m older and I know your a worker and that’s honorable so you go man and get everything you need in guitars but my Custom Hand made custom 2017 Mexican telecaster is NOT FOR SALE!! I never want to sell my 1946-1996 50th Fender Squire Stratocaster because it’s the WHIP! That beats all else!
For real authentic wear, go find the Rory Gallagher Strat… that thing took several lickings and kept on ticking, including when someone stole it and left it in a ditch… and it rained before it was found again!
I wish we could hear the guitar more.Like rather than muted harmonic notes, dig into the tone of the guitar. Also the deluxe reveb is ice pickey ( to bright)
I collect Pre-CBS Strats. The newer modern made PRS's play and perform quite a bit better but regardless... How much time on that particular 1960 would you have to do to make that huuuuuuuuuge worn mark? Think about that. You would have to rub and rub and rub for 30 years! Like Redtube rubbing on steroids! Right...? Down thru most of the damn clear coat!!!!!!!! That 1960 is total vibe! Can't imagine the price tag. In the $24-28k realm I would bet. Who knows! In THIS axe market???
I used to do the 'balance' thing with the 3 way on my '75 i bought in '76. Worked ok but would get surprised playing a solo in what would be 2 on a 5 way and would slip into the Br. Bit of a jump in volume.
This was my 1st good guitar bought from an older "kid" 1n 1970 for $125 and stolen from me during a concert at Edinboro St. College with Isaac Hayes (Shaft) in 1972. Still got a 1960 slab board Tele neck on a 63 hardtail Strat body today. Must be a disease, this guitar lovin' thing that gets ya...
Thats what i like about Michael.. You never quite know what he's gonna play for a guitar demo...I'm sure other people would play "cliche" songs and licks that you'd like for Michael to play in this video but he's so much more above that.
@@matijau6882 and he plays his own songs for different times, Life's A Drag has a good chance of showing up on a strat demo, but even not counting those id rather have some interesting improv than, the same Stones songs every week. same reason Andertons demos are interesting. The Captain and Danish Pete's intros and outros are the best parts.
appreciate michael, norm and jen for helping us all get through this past year
Let's appreciate for a moment what a great guitarist Michael is🎸
Agreed...that was awesome playing!!!
This was a great demo !
That Strat looks like it tells a hell of a story. Such a beautiful guitar!
Imagine that .....an instrument made in 1960 could sound that good after all that time...... beautiful axe
That has to be one of the best strats I’ve ever heard!
I love this man and his music.
Love that wear under the right arm. This has been a practice guitar loved and well treated for decades.
I love it when he doesn’t shred and plays mellow guitar tones
Definitely the best Lemmo. We need more Radiohead-influenced Lemmo, less EVH-influenced Lemmo.
Absolute dream guitar, what an incredible piece of art.
This channel is so great I genuinely can't believe we get to see all these amazing guitars and played by such an incredible guitarist for free almost every day.
Brilliant Michael, you have really great execution with very nice song writing. Rare! You are awesome!
Wtf!! This video left me all emotional 🥺🙏🏼 why isn’t he known all over the world
Well he is but by us guitar and music fanatics!
But lemmo should be know by everyone.
Simply amazing
I really respect Norman’s work ethic. I’m living in Japan where I know of many interesting and rare guitars, too bad I can’t take them to show you!
Norm you’re the GOAT of vintage guitar dealers
Incredible sound and playing. One of the best strats I’ve heard on this show.
Great job again! Michael is really gifted!
Dude! Long time fan, here!💯 Been following for years!
Michael, beautiful playing well appreciated from the UK
Amazing how many of these rarities come from Texas. When you drive past these tiny towns with old barns one can't help but wonder what other gems such as old cars and what not are hidden away in plain sight
Norm you are the man and your show is the best thing for young people to do!!!!!!
Beautiful Stratocaster sounding great Michael
Norm can sell anything Mike plays because the customer hears the guitar and it is sweet!
I love when he lets the loop play while he does the Outro
Dayum that guitar sounds amazing. AMAZING!
What a great guitar. 60 years of honest wear looks better than any of the stupid relics coming out of the Custom Shop
Agreed. I seriously hate that overly relic'd aesthetic. Natural gigging wear does not equal overhand lobbed down a scree field on the side of the mountain.
I could listen to this BAMF 24/7 ! ! !
Great job of playing, as usual and a really good decision to keep the tone clean for such a fantastic guitar. That guitar is otherworldly gorgeous.
Your playing is incredible. It’s clear you are gifted to the 99% percentile. I hope you are happy and content. If not, go ahead and make a fortune.
Brave man…. Stay safe Norm…we love you!
Sounds amazing. Gotta love lemmo.
Tasty playing man, from the get-go.
Norm needs to buy more guitars. He's only got a couple of thousand stored away in a warehouse
LOL
Facts. Wish I knew where that warehouse was lol somewhere in California
Awesome guitar and playing
Lemmo saw clips of your viper show, fantastic work brother
Best Outro Ever ! You inspire me Michael.
Dream guitar
I hope you have a great trip to Texas Norm. And profitable. I’m in Hurst about 15 miles from Dallas. Love you guys and girls.
Just continues to get better and come up with more stuff sounded like some new songs in the making
we love u Norm

Well it is my Birth year, but what a great guitar. Kick some butt. Love it!
I love the playing
Norm, keep on keeping on!
Keep rocking, Norm. 👍🏻
See you at the big guitar show, Nom...
Dan from Dallas
You guys are the best man… hope the VIPER was great Lemmo I’m looking online to see if it pops up

Great talent Lemmo
Mike how much do you practice your awesome
unique strat sound on that one.
That’s the one ☝️ right there! Sunny!
A 3 tone with one color faded is...2 tone
@@nikolaubtopou it didnt come 2 tone from the factory; it's not a unique specimen that might require a higher price tag because of it
@@jasonjenkins7825 we all know that
I wish they could do more Gretschs since It would be a nice change of pace
I really wish I knew what he was playing! Killer job as always lemmo.
I honestly think he makes it up as he goes
Simply amazing
Awesome axe. I saw my dad play one just like it many years ago when I was a small child… nothing like pre CBS strats ✌️
Have you played a post CBS Custom Shop? 😀
@@drippinglass I have not

Best guitar lessons on the tube
When u a dad like me, who plays most of his time alone, lemmo gives the best approach to such a great instrument

Perfect.
LEMMO can you do a lesson video on your hybrid techniques?
Wow!
That first tune never gets old mike! Love it!
@6:12 what’s that progression from ? Sounds really familiar
Mike you are mellow today that’s cool your playing the 1960 Stratocaster 👍 playing original pieces of music 🎼 great stuff Mike!
The last song if I'm not mistaken isn't original but I can't name it but I know it.
@@davidkastin4240 your style is gracious and full
Lemmo should make some “alright let’s go to bridge” t shirts
Does anyone know the second song Michael plays here? Or is this just his own genius...
Is there a name to that first song he plays?
As a player of close to 60 years ... guitars are great! Jesus is better! Time is running out, guitar brothers. Make sure you know the Maker of the universe, and Savior of this world ...

What's the first song called? It's beautiful and this version is amazing, thanks Mike
You guys should set up shop in texas.. california is going downhill
This one was gone of reverb real quick. Did anybody see the price ?
Stunning playing Michael....how you coax out those mids and get em to shine is exceptional....thanks...ps id sell my house for that strat! ( sadly i dont have one to sell!)
just buy an American Strat Pro II or Ultra ...they play and sound every bit as good or better as old ones.
I'm not sure but I think this isn't the first time mike has said that a particular strat was the best one he has ever played. Regardless this is a great sounding instrument,
Yes that has become repetitive…..
my man almost gave his personal number away lmao
Wow this is a rlly nice guitar!! Such a great sound! Susan, if you’re reading my bday is coming up …😉
Am I the only one who sees the red in that sunburst?? It’s a very subtle 3-tone sunburst to me.
There does seem to be a hint of red in there.
Unless it's a refin or something else that they didn't mention, it's 3TSB. In 1959, 1960 the red dye used to color the nitro was particularly susceptible to fading when exposed to UV light. It's the exact same thing going on with Les Paul Bursts from those years.

Getting the feeling he could play a Kazzoo and make it sound amazing but what a awesome guitar !!!!
Slab board Strat through a Deluxe Reverb. Is there a better match in all of Guitarland?
Uh..I would say this is it!!
Blackface Princeton / Strat combo is pretty good too!
Had a Blackface Princeton in 04’, agreed ☠️
As close as you could get to Rory Gallagher’s strat . Oh to have the money 💰🤞🇮🇪
Packed showroom, full warehouse, no empty space in the back room, and Norm claims he is running low on inventory. LOL 🤣
Right he starts to look for more inventory when he has less than 3000 guitars lol 😆
I wonder if Carlos played bass on this... (?)
For real authentic wear, go find the Rory Gallagher Strat… that thing took several lickings and kept on ticking, including when someone stole it and left it in a ditch… and it rained before it was found again!
Should of done Lennon for his birthday. I still love what Lemmo is doing.
I wish we could hear the guitar more.Like rather than muted harmonic notes, dig into the tone of the guitar. Also the deluxe reveb is ice pickey ( to bright)
Can I pleaseeee see yo ur pedal board
Didn't Fender completely switch to 3-tone in 1958? I think it's a faded 3TB.
Looks like it to me. I definitely see a red band there - a nice, subtle one.
Can you go dressed as kiss for halloween Lemmo?

The old "three way in between" is not that hard to do. No reason to hold back on 3-way switches.
No need for too much reverb either. YMMV.
Reverb is a personal choice.
Full drench 😎
I used to do the 'balance' thing with the 3 way on my '75 i bought in '76.
Worked ok but would get surprised playing a solo in what would be 2 on a 5 way and would slip into the Br. Bit of a jump in volume.
@@glenkepic3208 LOL! That'd wake you up!
@@MattyK-USA Yep, esp since i was probably using a red script Big Muff and Cry Baby at the time. Good times.

Is it just me - or is that a 3-tone sunburst? Just the red is pretty faded - but clearly 3 tone... not 2 tone?
Now that is a Strat! Love a good rosewood board Strat! However! Gotta do a Maton!
Maton Denied lol.
