    Picked one up black Friday after watching your review. Been running it 2 months now in my travel trailer, so far so good. The small guage on the battery and more importantly, the blue tooth app works out great because I don't have to spend the money on a smart shunt or run wiring and a guage in the trailer. AWESOME!👌👍👍

    This really is a nice battery but it's over priced IMO . Also, they are not allowing the Hobotech discount code on top of the 15% discount right now. So current price is $466. If they could get that down another $100 I'd buy 4 of them.

    I have always liked your reviews. I think people who have the money are gravitating towards all in one expandable systems where they don't have to think much. Building your own system can save a lot of money and the component-based approach makes people uneasy as they don't really understand it all. If you are looking for more views and subscribers, I think taking your expertise to "case studies" would be awesome. For example, pick a follower with a specific problem, through zoom, help the follower buy and set up their system. There could be thousands of opportunities for different types of cases from entire house to critical load backup systems. You would be somewhat dependent on the end user videos, but you could edit them as you like. You could have several projects going on at once and release the videos in series. Recording failures and challenges would also be important to demonstrate how to overcome them. No one I know of is helping people this way and I think it would increase your subscribership 10x. Good luck.

    You really need to freeze it for a longer time, like 3 days, then attempt to charge it while its in the freezer to really test it in a simulated mode. Most of these batteries take at least 2-3 hours to heat up enough, which in winter means you have missed your solar window in the climates where this is significant.

    • @TheCornucopiaProject-bd5jk
      @TheCornucopiaProject-bd5jk 9 месяцев назад +1

      That’s a good point. Real world conditions. For mobile applications this is a huge issue. For stationary applications however, I’d just bury it 8-10 feet down and let the earth protect it.

    • @NoZenith
      @NoZenith 9 месяцев назад

      How about if you're using it though? Will it keep itself warm enough without needing those hours to actually bring itself up the temperature? If I'm somewhere in a gets cold enough it can't charge that would suck but I wouldn't want to have to keep my little cargo trailer build or car heated just to keep the battery able to charge would be a main reason I would look at something like this. If it could maintain itself that would be optimal even if it couldn't get itself up to temperature for a few hours from Frozen

    • @stuartstuart866
      @stuartstuart866 9 месяцев назад

      What temperature would you freeze it at? Would you simulate winter in Minnesota or Las Vegas where you barely get freezing temperatures? There are a lot of variables but some are irrelevant since most of us don’t camp in Minnesota during the winter.

    • @TheCornucopiaProject-bd5jk
      @TheCornucopiaProject-bd5jk 9 месяцев назад

      @@stuartstuart866 it’s not about camping. A single freezing day in Vegas is irrelevant. Sustained temperatures below the freezing point is what matters in this context. Perhaps instead of camping think of a hunting cabin that stands empty a lot but then you come for your trip and find your battery frozen solid.

    I'm looking forward to the video about lifepo4 😊Due to the rising cost of electricity, I have been researching solar power generation and energy storage batteries. If they are cost-effective, they can indeed save a lot of money for my family. I bought 4 of them in March VATRER's 200AH, when I encountered problems during the installation process, their customer service staff would always answer me, amazing!! as if they didn’t have to take a break . So far everything is running very well, I'm still looking for a more cost-effective energy storage battery, if you can make a related video, I believe it will be trendy👏👏👏

I'm using it at my RV and there's a spot that I could use it out of the way, but it would have to stand on its end. It would have plenty of air flow, but it will be standing on its handle and I would mount it by the headles.

    Howdy, I saw your test for charging with a cold battery, but let's say that your battery is at a cold cabin and you want to charge it when you aren't there to heat the cabin.
    It took 90 minutes after taking the battery out of the freezer and into a room temperature environment to start charging the battery.
    How long does it take to warm your battery in a cold unheated cabin before it is able to start charging?
    I am guessing that storing the battery in an insulated box would quicken it's time needed to start charging, but the battery warmer provided might not be able to get the battery above freezing when it's below 0F constantly. In that case, a 2nd battery heating pad might be required.

    So 100 Ah = 1280 Wh?

      @EvenStar303 Месяц назад

      @@HOBOTECH@HOBOTECH Thanks for that, but I still have a problem.
      Theoretically Watt/hour means, that the battery can power something that uses 1280 Watts for 1 hour.
      Or something that uses 1 Watt for 1280 hours.
      But in reality the higher Wattage will drain the battery relatively faster.
      So what they do is pick a nomenal figure like in the case of Amp/hours it is 20 Amp drain and use that number to calculate the average Amp/hour result.
      Isnt there something like that for Whatt/hours?
