      Trev tube, keep it real mate. Gazza was a great player but hes never been rated as a worlds greatest player. George best is on another 3 levels higher, like maradona, pele, di stefano, c,ronaldo and more. But gazza isnt in that company and never was. If you want to see real passion watch they players a mentioned. Gazza is the only player a know that cant even break a players leg wich he tried to do then snapped his own leg lol when a saw what gazza did that day that just summond him up. I wasnt shocked becouse i knew he wasnt a worlds best player rating. Just the best player out a bad lot for a few years and thats only in the english leauge forgett the rest. But that just put him right down in my estimation. It was like a boy at age 10 trying to bully his way through a game to then come of worse. Tbh he was daft. The true greats never ever get injured like best and pele, cruyff, its called perfect balance plus not being an idiot with arms going every where in desperation just to beat a player lol good player but never a great

    P.S. Say it quietly (as a Spurs fan I was privileged to have seen gazza at his unstoppable best playing for my team) but I sometimes think to myself it might have been better if Gazza had chosen Man United over us. Instead of having his head turned at a young age by the Showbizland of London, he would have been kept under Fergie's protective wing (and iron rod) and allowed to quietly develop his game the way that Giggs did. I think under Fergie he would have reached his huge potential.

    • @dazediss6629
      @dazediss6629 Год назад +4

      Yep definitely wouldn’t have pissed his career away after the injuries. He would have been on the straight & narrow under Fergie who really looked after young players, it was his greatest gift as a manager. Not to mention if he really liked you as a player like Ronaldo & Cantona then you got special treatment. Gazza & Shearer at United with Giggs, Keane, Beckham, Scholes, etc just seems ridiculously unfair on every other team in the world though 🤣

    Gazza v Netherlands at Euro 96" is the single greatest performance I've seen from an English football player. He single handedly dismantled them, and the core of their team was the Ajax team who won the Champions League the year before (so no slouches!). It was the perfect midfield performance, he attacked, he defended, he retained possession in the tightest spots, he played defence splitting passes, he slowed the game down when appropriate and speeded it up when it was called for. The fact I can remember it so well all these years later says it all.
