      Robert I highly highly doubt your Rottweiler is 180lbs that’s a serious exaggeration on your part. I have a Tibetan mastiff who’s 162lbs legitimately weighed at the vet. Not some bullshit claim lmao Rottweilers don’t get that big and if he is anywhere near that weight he’s a fat fuck. You just embellished your dogs weight lol

    • @JohnSmith-ei6sc
      @JohnSmith-ei6sc 2 года назад

      Literally every Rottweiler I’ve ever seen in my life was anywhere from 100-140lbs and that 140lber was a huge Rottweiler lol I hate when people say they have a dog that’s 100plus or like 150 then you see it and you’re like dude that things 80lbs maybe 90 lol like I have a legitimately huge fucking dog and I’ve never ever seen a Rottweiler bigger than him never in my fucking life.

    We had a dog named bonky in Iraq back in 07. We took fire while clearing a palm Grove and our handler let the dog go. He was hit, but he also forced the dudes out of the position. The dog didn't make it, but he easily saved the squad from getting shot to shit. At the AAR we told the handler that we were sorry about his dog being killed, and with teary eyes he said "that is what we are here for, better him than any of you."

    One thing I’m not sure had been covered Jocko - I was an Army infantry officer who shipped straight to Iraq after Ranger School. But seeing how some young leaders had bad luck and failed or were thrown under the bus. I guess the factor of luck in a military career would be an interesting discussion. And how some people have overcome those and how some can’t.

    lol The Desert Patrol Vehicle. Years ago, I went to the Chenowth factory to buy a buggy chassis. That was right after they first got the contract to build, what was originally called the Fast Attack Vehicle. Long story short, they didn't have any standard 2LW (model number) chassis in stock but they did have a prototype FAV chassis. It was the same as their standard play buggy except it used thicker wall tubing and had some extra bracing. It was one of several prototypes and I ended up buying it. The final chassis design had a little more headroom than mine and the front is a bit wider. I am a 50yo woman now but I still have my buggy. It's flat black and hot pink but mine doesn't have the gun mounts :(
    The problem with the Desert Patrol Vehicle is they kept adding weight. The third seat, extra fuel, guns etc. Those buggies are fast and capable because they are light and have long wheel travel. They are 2 wheel drive with an open transaxle and steering brakes. If you keep them light (1,500 lbs or so) they are very fast and nimble in the desert.
    If they get to heavy, everything that works in a light vehicle becomes a liability. You lose the nature of the dune buggy.
    I am actually kinda sad to hear they aren't using them anymore but they expanded the original use for the vehicle. It is no longer capable of doing what they need. I am not sure when they went into service. I bought my chassis in late 89 so I would presume early 90's. That's actually a pretty long run for a military vehicle.

    lol read about the DPV being stuck in the mud on Chris Kyle's book. Somehow you can piece together who did what when you get to read what they have written / said.

    Not that this is the main point but from what I read online one of the handlers wasn't able to bring Prince back state side and was left in Vietnam. Prince wandered from the Navy warrant officer watching him and managed to kill a water buffalo. Unfortunately local villagers beat Prince to death after learning he killed a water Buffalo.
