From what I hear, if you change your underwear everyday it’s not necessary to wash jeans as much. There was a study done on a Japanese guy that wore the same jeans everyday for months; they tested the jeans in a lab for germs but didn’t find much.
Ok, off topic. But the shelving you have behind you, displaying your boot collection. Smart! I think I need to do something like that too. My boots are all on the floor, taking up too much real estate.
Great video, especially pertinent as I am making the switch towards more repro-focused companies and therefore running into more unsanforized or lightly one-washed fabrics that have the potential for a lot more shrink. Tangential question - I have a denim jacket (TCB 20's one-washed but known to continue to shrink a decent amount) that I have only run in the washing machine on warm and dried on low. What would be the best way to coax more shrinkage out of the length - a hot soak (my washing machine only goes up to warm unless its the sanitize cycle) or a hot tumble dry on normal? Don't want to do anything to damage the fabric too much but would love a shorter jacket.
Love the video. I love unsanforized denim. I have a funny situation where 34 length shrinks too much so I can’t cuff them. I come around that that I stretch them with the method where i hot iron them wile wet. I manage to get back 1 to 2 cm back, just enough to cuff them
Cool, these are some valuable insights. I’ve always had one-washed but I’ve been wanting to try the Warehouse unsanforized jeans. Are you still planning to make a sunglasses video?
I have a hard time getting jeans that fit right. Ive got short legs, my bellybutton is at the widest part of my waist which causes high rise to slide down overtime. I find a medium to low rise to say in place better for me. I also prefer rinse/one wash and tempi treated jeans. I find you get all the textures without the guess work of shrinkage.
I have a question about the washing temperatures. What mean cold or hot in th US? In Germany we say most of the time the degree of the temperature the cloth get washed, like on 30°Celsius, 40°Celsius or 60°Celsius. That is often very confusing when it is just said "cold" or "hot".
Copy that! Another german guy here. Was also wondering what temperatur equals „hot“.
I lost 80+ lbs in a year. I kept it off for two years now. So I decided to start wearing jeans again two months ago. I was on a 7-year sweatpants kick.
Oh yeah, I have 2 pairs of Wrangler 13wmz jeans now. One that I wash inside out cold and one that I don't wash for now. That and a cupple pair of slim straight jeans with spandex in them by threadgrit for banging around town. The draw to me for the wranglers was the fact that my parents used to make me wear them, I hated them. Now that I'm 34, I think back, and I'm like, "This is what pants feel like." Besides, I ended up tangling in more barbed wire than I'd care to admit back then. The threadgrit jeans because I can do the splits in them one and two because it's the fit I always wanted when I was forced into strangers growing up, l😂. @kingcutt7312
This guy..... walks out of frame to get his jeans and leaves us looking at $15k worth of glorious boots... Not hating, just very jealous. Where does he get those wonderful toys?

you are telling me that there are people who don't change their underwear daily 🤯....that swamp fade is going to hit different

I'd risk it, but it will be a risk

Great video. Thanks for the info Jake 🙏🏼

Excellent demonstration 😎 denim is still misunderstood!

you can find really cool jeans with fittings for suspenders
Did the color change from pre- to post-wash, or was that just the light?
The color did get a little lighter yes
May have missed this because I watched before I had coffee, what jeans are you wearing at the start of the video?

@ ah, ok. Danke 👍🏼
Das ist immer no unspezifisch, wenn man einfach genau Temperaturangaben gewohnt ist😄
Ah a man after my own heart. I'm a big fan of unsanforized denim. Any favourites?

congrats, man! As long as you're happy and living your life as best you know how, then you're winning - sweatpants or jeans!

Dropped pistol squat like it's nothing 🤯
It's taken me a looooooong time to be in good enough shape to do them, trust me!

Actually most of them are my wife's!
I think you should walk around with your hands in your pants. I found that funny.
