Loader becomes gunner= reload has to restart
@@Someonethatyouysedtoknowlol loader is loading the gun.The round is half-way in. Gunner dies. Loader pulls the almost loaded round out of the breach and puts it back to its place. Loader switches seats. Loader (now gunner) loads the gun and shoots.
This is so goddamn annoying whenever the gun on the SU-122 is destroyed... having to wait a whole other reload for no apparent reason

I felt this SO hard. I just unlocked the M1A1 AIM today and every single shot blew up a damn fuel tank and got me killed. I think I managed like 1 kill across 5 games and like 8 assists. I got more kills using a P-47D-22 in a match than my M1A1

But the fueltank of the russian 2S38 makes it unstoppable most of the time. :)
Had to fight this light tank today frontally with my spaded Leopard2A4 and my DM23 wasn't able to penetrate it frontally.
The fuel tank soaked the round up 3 times in a row... I fucking despise WT sometimes...
@@jamrocks464 I still love how the 2s38 has more ammo, irst tracking + proxy fuse, and is more survivable at 9.7 while the hstvl trades all of that for slightly more pen at 11.0.

One thing to know: NEVER shoot fuel tanks if possible, unless the enemy can't shoot back. They regularly act as ERA in this game.

@@tranminhnguyen6217 That's because the ammo on T-series tanks has been buffed to such a ridiculous degree that even fuel explosions stand out.

After 1,600 hours in WT and being primarily a US main, I feel every bit of pain you just felt. I uninstalled last year.
Ahhhh, the M1A1... I remember playing the devtest of this thing... I remember fondly of me whipping tanks out with this, partially because no one had tactics yet to counter them but it was also because I had a one track mind back then.

For anyone who's dealing with TURMS, their entire FP only has a kinetic effectiveness of 350mm, you can go straight through it with anything with more pen!
problem is not pen, they nerfed m829 and m829a1 so badly they dont even spall properly mostly goes thru fuel and shell and dont kill the crew

Ah yes, the stock ammo grind. I like it tbh. It slashes your dreams of having fun in a new tank really quickly. Very efficient 👍
End game in War Thunder looks terrifying : everything moves at 50-60 km/h, reloads take 5-6 seconds, thermals, missiles flying everywhere, jets and helis... There's absolutely no chill
It's just more lethal, honestly. A side effect is even light stuff usually has weapons to kill you so it's more positioning and being able to land your first shot.

But when you get the better ammo, you can start to get pushy

Just love the fact that HEAT-FS gets almost complete usless against any type of armor after like 8.7 or 9.3. I mean yeah, I understand composite is very good against it, but a damn paperthin BMP? Typically US ground experience. Abrams ufp is broken and no longer bounces anything. Apfsds blows through it like nothing at 88-89 degree angles despite the snail saying they have 100% deflect rate at 82/83 degrees
