One of the reasons I can't bring myself to play this game. It feels like there is almost no progression at times, taking any motivation to play. Warthunders grind is just insane and managed to drive anyone i know off who tried to play it.

Every version of the Abrams has full DU armor IRL. The armor is still modeled wrong in War Thunder and it's density is also not modeled correctly.
DU is 2.5 times denser than steel.
And it's also much heavier, so you don't get same quantity/thickness of the plates.
Gaijoob still refuses to use proper armor for the Americans because it would be unfair, like, err, like a lot of Russian shit actually.

When tanks start having stock HEAT to fight tanks that come with composite, that when gameplay should be prioritised over historical accuracy, so gaijin should just add like a "STOCK-FS" APFSDS shell to all nations high tier vehicles and give it something like 250-300mm pen, something low but workable

The best part of the game is when you uninstall it on your computer. Seriously, this game is not worth our time.
The stock grind is so bad that i got 2 kills on avg in my m3 half track compared to an assist in the abrams
Remember kids, the Abrams is such a trash MBT that it can get 1 shotted by any reserve tank with APHEBC.
like the T-26, it looks harmless, but if you shoot the back of the abrams turret, you can cause 2 things to happen.
1. A fire
2. Pen, with APHEBC... thats a 1 shot kill.

I'm not going to go into UI hulls or anything, but it seems that Gaijin has deliberately nerfed top tier rounds in general. If a modern round penetrates, chances are anybody inside fets turned to mush. Honestly most of these tanks shouldn't even be surviving the first shot, let a lone the second or third. They simply don't do enough damage in general IMO.
