RuPauls Drage Race. Media attention and the rise of drag. I personally love drag and think it adds a new flair to culture. At the same time, there are drag performers I wouldn't want my kids to see, based upon their shows. The same can be said for comedians and actors or public figures. It really depends on what I want my child to see and understand, and that responsibility rests with me in making decisions for my child temporarily until they grow up. There are some things my child will see and unsee, and as a parent, I have to roll through the punches and explain it to them. There are some drag race performers who do reading for kids - that doesn't affect me and is up to the parent(s) to decide. What I do not agree with is pushing your beliefs/religion on to someone else because you circumnavigate God's will to freedom of choice. We all have a choice. Laws banning theft, murder, etc… most things that are illegal are also considered morally wrong. Which is why I believe he chooses to replace “religion” with “morality”. Because it makes the argument or seem more ridiculous than it actually is. Because Religious beliefs can literally say “thou shalt not paint thine own finger nails”, and be viewed as correct by those who belong to that group or ridiculous by those “heretics” who exist outside that group. Religious beliefs can be very particular and even impractical. While morale and law tends to be more practical.

If a gay person is manipulated by religious people they trust before they learn to love themselves for who they are as an individual, that's what happens
They become almost like nuns. No children. Never have loved someone or even dated someone.
You can spit them easily as they're constantly "on fire for God" and invested like no other.

You have to remember the whole reason we have marriage is because of religion. It's the very origin of marriage in society. So yelling out "what?" like this is kind of naive and silly to be honest. What did you expect a devout Christian to say? I personally don't care if gay people want to get married. Just keep drag away from schools. Drag is clearly sexual in nature and it shouldn't be something we subject our youth to. Really people need to wake up and look at these things at face value. Would you invite a stripper to a school to have them dance and celebrate straightness? No. You wouldn't. It's wrong.

@@mrorange159 Have you ever been to a drag show? I'm guessing by your high moral compass the answer is no. Drag shows are nothing like strip clubs and frankly, if you want your children to not be exposed to sexual content take away all their access to the internet lol. Don't go bothering people who didn't do anything wrong and are just expressing themselves through makeup and dance and having fun.

The original Constitution of the United States that was ratified in 1789 had only ONE REFERENCE TO RELIGION: [Article 6] No religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any Office or Public Trust under the United States.
The de facto motto of the United States, adopted as part of the Great Seal of the U.S. by an Act of Congress in 1782, was E. Pluribus Unum (Out of Many, One). Congress changed it 174 years later (1956) to "In God We Trust".
The ORIGINAL 'Pledge of Allegiance' was written in 1892 by Baptist Minister Francis Bellamy who DID NOT INCLUDE the words "Under God". Those were added by Congress 62 years later (1954).
The U.S. didn't issue Paper Currency until 1861, & 'In God We Trust' didn't appear on it for 96 years (1957).
“As the government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian Religion" ~ Treaty of Tripoli; initiated under President George Washington, 1796, signed into law by President John Adams, 1797, ratified unanimously by the Senate, 1797, published in full in all 13 states, with no record of complaint or dissent.
"I am for freedom of religion and against all maneuvers to bring about a legal ascendancy of one sect over another."
--Thomas Jefferson, letter to Elbridge Gerry, January 26, 1799
“Christianity neither is, nor ever was part of the common law.” Thomas Jefferson
“Religion and government will both exist in greater purity the less they are mixed together.” James Madison

We've been on a tilt toward another Dark Ages for several decades now. They don't want parents to have autonomy over what their children can see, read, experience, they want THEIR view of "responsible parenting" to be what EVERY parent has to accept.

The constitution was written over 265 years ago.
It is, by far, the OLDEST and most ancient working document in the entire world.
Every other country…on this planet…has grown and adapted their constitution to the way their society looks currently.
We are the ONLY ones with the audacity to think that some 250 year old dude knew what was best for us today.
      Calm the dramatics, dude.
Your entire argument has nothing to do with morality or rationale. It’s all “well…this says it’s bad”.
