The bar on the top right where it shows read when it peaks or distorts.. im having trouble trying to balance the mix and staying under that preventing it to hit red
I don't see the GUI for my external plugins when I load them up. For some reason I only get a generic box for the parameter stuff. Is there a setting I need to change?

Yes, you will want to check your preferences specifically the audio tab to set inputs accordingly. After press the sampling button and choose your input. Last thing, you will want to be sure that the monitor is switched to on so that you can hear it back. You might have to tab over on screen to see it.

That's strange. There shouldn't be any extra settings. If you double click on the name of the plugin once it's loaded it should pop up.
