The drug is getting glorified and normalised by Bollywood celebs. This is not ok. The Bollywood is hand to hand involved in Drug Trafficking. They influence our youth. Either the youth needs to find new idols or icons OR the Celebs needs to change their self .
I don't think so... Bollywood never glorified drugs, Udta Punjab is after all a Bollywood film that focuses on substance abuse. Also, most people had no clue that they even were under influence of drugs. And it is not involved in trafficking, it's rather on the consuming end. I think they're using it as an escape from their reality. Being trolled constantly, a target of media scrutiny does take a toll on them. And to escape that reality, their solution was drugs and related stuff. (substance-abuse disorder, an actual psychological disorder) or they could've been pressured into it. That's just my theory tho (coz Hollywood has the same issues and drugs have been pretty normalised there, so on basis of that I deduced this theory). I rather see them as victims of abuse here rather than as criminals (I'm a psychology student so that might have influenced it), and I think they require help rather than being subject to media scrutiny. I think that might encourage other drug addicts to come out and seek help. And as for 'idolising", youth shouldn't idolise anyone, since no human is perfect, there's no need for idolising. Specially in Delhi NCR the usage of drugs is so high but no one bats an eye here. I myself live in Gurgaon and know so many people who do all this stuff regularly, one the biggest reason is Netflix promoting stuff in their webseries like all of this is cool and empowering. These young boys and girls aged 15-26 needs to understand that the TV is not reality, real life has consequences.
@@raja-jl9os tum khete ho to aisa hi hoga, by jokes aside it's true. Cinema tends to affect a large part of how humans behave and what they learn. In early 2000s Bollywood produced love movies and made it look like simping and sacrificing for that one girl is everything and don't know how many men ruined their life over some girl. This tactic has been used by governments to crush and fail countries by making audience and the population believe something, something radical. Now, I'm not saying that Netflix is crushing india by making a fool of Indian youth. But that what people see in cinema, many kids (by kids I mean people who are younger than 25 since your brain is not fully developed till that age) will try to enact that stuff irl. Another example of hook-ups like how common they have gotten in recent years and how many young Indians are nowadays are engaging in such activities. Now again I'm not saying hookup is bad or good. I'm not talking about whether it is morally right or wrong. But that Netflix is a very big reason why people are motivated to do such activities. Since they saw the protagonist do that in a TV series. They believe it is cool thing to do without ever understanding the consequences and reading about the reports how people especially women who engage in hook-ups almost always regret them and feel guilt about it their whole life. The younger generation should be allowed to watch all of this stuff but also be taught about the negative and positive aspects of everything. I strictly believe after you know both pros and cons, and you're an adult you should be allowed to do anything you want to. And I'm also strictly against the content restrictions on OTT platforms. But knowledge and data is necessary.

Stopping drug supply is not main issue, But we should focus more on rehabilitation & treating the drug over use, What's point of the stigmatizing drug users, it is not the law an order problem but reflection of the social issues
I think opposite. First step should be to stop drugs coming to india, or at least, lower the amount as much as possible. This is more easy to achieve than solving social issue. Social issues takes decades to be solved.
There are plenty rehabilitation centre my brother was an addict at age on 17 he is 19 now and completely clean.
There cannot be one point solution…. To solve the problem we need to attack, defend and also repair all at the same time

@@trinuuu wahi bro people don't realise that most of the modern youth is already doing all these drugs and even hardcore stuff too in their rooms and dormitories, at birthday parties, clubs and such other places.
@@the1stmetalhead gta 5 ke karan violence bad gya tha america me
@@raja-jl9os tum khete ho to aisa hi hoga, by jokes aside it's true.
@@the1stmetalhead well movie n series are only 1% responsible bcz those are all fictional and comes with a warning....

We can't blame movies n series everytime... Bcz by that logic there should be no action scenes, no violence which is impossible..
