To all of us who struggle, never give up. I am an addict and everything that comes with the addiction. I have been clean for 2 years now when i could never picture my life without my vices. Keep you head up and eyes straight ahead and you will make it.

That is true but its just a band aid solution to a problem that is way bigger than just that individual. Poverty and wealth inequality will always breed crime.
Good on this dude for getting himself out of a downward spiral. Most people are just looking for some respect for who they are. He articulated that need very well with hindsight.
Im an American who lost his way many years ago, i didn’t care, i hated the world and everything in it, i was a predator and everything was prey, took me years to escape that and turn my life around. Its a long road, but it can be traveled. I just recently squared away my legal troubles and have successfully done so, but the mentality is the hardest thing to lose. A journey of a thousand miles begins…with one single step.
Everything good in our lifes start with one single step. For any good change in our lifes we need one single step to start, but trick is......you must have very strong will to do that.
Good work on your journey. It is difficult, but it’s possible. I too used to be very angry, very violent. I would often go look for trouble, and was good at finding it. Some of the things I’ve done still haunt me to this day, but that’s what keeps me from doing them now. I learned that I genuinely care about people, and my lifestyle was very much at odds with that. I was tired of getting arrested, tired of going to jail and court. My life is very peaceful now, and I’m so much happier. It took a LOT of work to get to where I am now, but life is so much better. Good luck to all trying to find their peace in this life.

I am inspire by Rahul Bhais story and his strong will to change himself nd the society. Glad he could take all the negative crap in his life and realize he could use that to help others. Usually people who have been through the same or similar are in the best position to help others and the help come from a deeper more meaningful place.
Yes. Smile and the laughter both. It's interesting for me to note he giggles so often. He was and remains a fearless guy. I remember watching it before but had forgotten about him. Have a good day ahead, Ms Gogoi. Edit: Mr.

This is a great story and lets me know that everyone can live a happy life if they truly want it. Big respect for this little short video. I as well deal with addiction so it's really nice to see that he overcame his addiction and has a wife and a happy life now.
my 2nd time watching this piece but i can always re-watch meaningful human stories like this, and VICE does it so well! Thank you Rahul ji for inspiring so many!
This is probably the last man on Earths life that I thought I would be learning about today. It's always cool to learn about lives that you had no idea existed.
Brings faith back in humanity. 🙏. While it is good to ask for forgiveness, one should not expect it as a right. Forgiveness is theirs to give only if they wish. Hope your life brings you peace, happiness and joy to everybody you engage. 🙏🙏🙏

Indians are so polite in their violence. Thrashings and open-palmed slaps.
😂
Slapping someone is a sign of disrespect in india.
Shaming and disrespecting is seen more severe than beatdown.
