    Dude, Magi Quest is the bomb. I had a 3 night stay at a Great Wolf Lodge, and did all of my theme park stuff during the day, and nothing but Magi Quest at night. I managed to become a master Magi. All I got was a pin.

    Man when I was younger I wanted to play this so bad. My parents actually promised that we would go to great wolf lodge one summer... the same summer they got divorced. Needless to say that never happened and my childhood dream of waving a plastic wand around were crushed.

      +Nilrem Me and my friends went and did Magi Quest at the ages of 21, I'm sure you can still do it. Although if you do happen to try it I would agree on not doing the Pennsylvania Poconos one if you can help it. Sadly that's the one we tried.

      @Olivia V. It's probably not the worst, but it is pretty basic compared to some of the other locations. It does have a boss fight with a dragon at least, sadly no vs. area though.

    3:09 As a kid I gravitated to more physical based classes like Warriors and Paladins and the like. Now I'm a grown ass adult and... well, I'd still rather roll a Warrior. I was a geek in school but the idea of being a geek in a fantasy setting never seemed like wish-fufilment if you asked me.
    Er, keeping this on topic, the worst thing to happen to most kid-based physical mediums is the children themselves destroying everything that can be pushed, pulled, slammed, punched and kicked.

      That magiquest location was my first and only time playing Magiquest.

  • @RariettyC
    @RariettyC 8 лет назад +2

    I'm sad that the Myrtle Beach one failed due to poor maintenance. I mean, it was in a huge building in an extremely prime location next to the Ripley's Aquarium and it always seemed pretty busy. The video mentioned it to be disappointing, which I can't argue because I haven't been to any other non-hotel Magiquests, but it was still much more elaborately themed compared to the Great Wolf Lodge locations. I actually remember staff in medieval costumes roaming around to assist people with their wands. I also remember having a lot of fun exploring and finding hidden passages. When I was a 12 year old who was obsessed with fantasy, it was awesome in its opening year. It's a shame that it had to close in such a dire state.

    Magiquest is fun. Gone to great wolf lodge in Wisconsin dells. Haven't for a while. The Illinois one is nice too. Nice too see a review like this.

    I just came back from magic quest. It's so much fun. You can make your own wand. It is hard to find what you would need. 5/5 rating.

    the closest one to me is six hours away in Garden Grove CA and it's connected to a wolf lodge, is that even one of the good locations? Unless the lodge has good service and the place is a good location spot, I doubt it'd even be worth the trip regardless the quality of the game.

    • @chaosd1
      @chaosd1  8 лет назад +6

      +ZeroHazard I'd try to look up videos or reviews of that particular place. The Great Wolf versions are definitely hit or miss, but the more recent ones seem to be better integrated. I've only been to 5 MagiQuests, and they vary greatly from place to place.

      The closest one to me is the Pigeon Forge location. If you want to experience the most, go there! There's also a mission impossible esque later maze, a mini golf, and the world's largest mirror maze, so there's lots to do!

    • @areina1728
      @areina1728 Год назад

      @HYPNOPOSSUM unfortunately they ruined the mirror maze and put in an arcade. The maze is a graction of what it used to be and my family was quite saddened by it.

    If you're looking for another one of these and you're able to travel at all- there is a irl escape-from-the-locked-room game in Seattle.

    I have been told, working with your teammates is important, making it a little more group based than these.
