As you say the secret of a film is to create depth with 2d. And in your course you explain so well why the light is the key of the depth. Thx Jordy.
This just explains how editing is key.
Thanks!
I love seeing your name pop up on my notifications🤩
These are my own 5 TIPS to get the CINEMATIC LOOK (hope it helps)
Tip 1: Cinematic Black Bars
Tip 2: Slow Motion
Tip 3: Shallow Depth Of Field
Tip 4: Sound Design
Tip 5: Colour Grading
Awesome!! Thanks man :)
Tip 6: Film 4k so you can zoom in post. Also be careful to leave enough space so that the black bars don’t cut your image when editing
Tip 7: Using lots of cinematic movements (pan, dolly, etc).
Tip 8: using focus for better storytelling
Tip 9: using different shot sizes
Tip 10: If you are on Iphone, don’t film at 24 fps, that makes movement so much harder. It is better to film at 60 fps and then reduce it to 24 in post. That way you can make smoother movements and still have the cinematic look.
@@r.l.r.4139 Colour is spelled with a u (or are you... American) i'm sorry "are yo" I forgot to remove the u xd
(Edit)
I really agree with tip 10
@@alberthoulberg6549 Jaja both color and colour are correct, but I edited the comment anyway. Glad you agreed with Tip 10📹👍🏻
Make sure you actually change your resolution and don't just add black bars!
This is great! I often get a red tint on skin tones with my smartphone films and the adding green tip could be a game changer!
Ooo the programs these days are crazy !! 🔥🔥 looks like it could help out a lot
Handheld is a cinematic style in itself just like POV, drone shot or anything else. The camera handler has to understand how it contributes to the story in order to get it to work for you. You can’t just pick up a camera and expect it to “look good” because it’s handled.
This is such a great plug-in!
Oh, thank you looking forward more such videos, good work!
The GOAT of Premier Pro!
I Love How They Finally Include Plugins Into The Videos
Thanks for the tips, you guys! Can't wait to see more movie magic from you all! Stay Creative!
Great!!! Do more Cinema rules and guidelines, those help very much!

I remember watching their old AE/Premiere tutorials. I really should go back and do them again 🙏
The best film making channel. Thanks guys.
Cinecom is the best channel
Yep I do agree with you 😊 although I occasionally leave a comment for Jordy , Lorenzo and Yanick, and Gilles , on RUclips channel, and also, I have Twitted several times but they just liked my comments (a few times) And, they have never paid much attention to the advice I expect to create a wonderful video tutorial. Yeah I love them so much 😍
Thanks for always putting out such great info!
Got it right
it was the best dynamic range and clarity of shadows
Can you make a video demonstration how to start with making 3d chracters and 3d animation as well . Plzzzzzzzzzz
Honestly yes I chose the correct clip that was from Red.....because the roll-off looked smoother👍
You Guys are my Mentors, and Love you Jordy.

It works with the Gen5 color of Blackmagic?
Awesome! Thank you! :D
Hey Jordy and team,
I am soon be completing my schooling and after that I am thinking of going to university to learn film production and related stuff so I want to know which could be the best university to learn that and in cheap
Also want to know that how should I get scholarships in them
Should I increase my portfolio then go to university?
Hope you will reply 😄
Hey, so I'm not Jordy but I would recommend you to research a lot. There are lots of amazing filmschools, and some of them are crazy pricy, so it depends on your situation. Applying for scholarships or funds also works but the process is different depending on where are you from and where do you want to study. Sometimes you can apply for a scholarship directly in the School or University you're applying to, sometimes you could apply for some kind of government scholarship, or win a contest as well. There are many ways but you need to look for them. I would also recommend for you to do some research about the stages of pre, production and post so you can understand a little bit more and perhaps decide which program is the best for you.
About you're portfolio, I've figured that most of the stuff you will learn you will have to learn it on your own, so if you can get a head start that's always good.
Once you've narrowed down what you would like to do it gets easier to search for the best school and ways to get there. Its not the same wanting to be a cameramen for documentaries than working at the motion capture department for marvel films, for example, and you can always change your mind about what you want to be of course, but It's great when you know at least where you want to go.
I hope I helped at least a bit.
@@thaliscervantes7229 thanks for the concern
I'll definitely look into it
It really helped me😄
@@AjinoARC Sure! Also, ignore all the typos 😂
Big fan from Kerala... 😎😎😎
3:46 what?! I got it right!!!! I didn't know how red gemini footage looks like but I went for most organic looking footage.
Thank You..
Hey Cinecom, can you guys make a hulk transformation video and tutorial for the next copy cat friday. BTW big fan of you guys.
Yeah you definitely should. Also a big fan of you Cinecom
Hey JORDY/ Cinecom this comment is *inspired from Jalex Roza*
Is there any way to *create hairs/simulate hair* in after effects ??
Once upon a time, I had seen a plugin in which long *lines* had generated and I think it was any *video copilot* or
*Red Giant universe plugin*. Please pick my comment and make next video on it .. I will be waiting
Great !
Hi. Do you suggest BMPCC 6K?
I did got it right!!!
Cool!
love you bro
3:40 - Honestly, the RED looked the worst...
Davinci does this native with it's color corrector
Resolve is great, but it doesn't have a camera sensor match function like CineMatch - we've got plenty of Resolve users using CineMatch daily to match their footage prior to grading :)
The shadow tip was very subtle but when you see it in a movie or video, it makes a big difference.
you can do HSL in Lumetri. that's kind of a pointless/redundant feature. Besides that, it could still be useful, especially for beginners. Also, Nitrate needs an update. You only buy it for the grain. The film emulations are limited and rarely useful.
This can be done in Davinci Resolve without any plugins:) Ditch premiere and move to RESOLVE
You'll find matching different cameras in Resolve is a lot easier with CineMatch than trying to do it manually, even with all the tools in Resolve :) download the free trial and test it out for yourself
Woow😂dora is here❤️
superb
it's Thursday here, but who's keeping a calendar..... the video is here and that's what counts
I love that 😗😘❤❤
Cinecom💗
It's helpfull...

@cinecom hello there ,can u do a tutorial on how to recreate tim gray's instagram videos!!!
How to get cinematch? Is it for free to download ?
Damn I was quick
You could recognize the RED because of Lorenzos hair lightning. It looked most matural.
👌
Does I work with Divinchi?
Yes, CineMatch has a dedicated plugin version for DaVinci Resolve! You can download the free trial version from www.cinematch.com
which film school did you go to?
Anything like cinematch for final cut?
We're working on a version for Final Cut Pro right now, sign up on our website for updates and we'll let you know when it's available
Bro please make a tutorial on subscribe button effect
❤️
Thanks for the great video! Hopefully you don't still feel like you need to sell the RED :D if anyone has questions about CineMatch, reply here and we can answer them
I was wondering why cinecom didn't post anything on Tuesday
the dynamic range of the red gave it away
"Where's Dora?" Oh man, I almost die laughing!!!!
I swear these videos make my life easier and make my uni course seem useless 🤣
Hope cinematch partners with Technicolor for the Cinestyle profile
Just... switch to resolve is better and less expensive :)
woooow
Jordy I miss the clapping please do that in your next video
All times he said BUT:

A question to every REAL videographer/filmmaker: Is it color grading and presets that create the cinematic look or is it lighting lighting lighting and again lighting?
Jordy have march stay creative first time.
