Great video :) I had actually forgotten that I own this ruler. I have some cute vintage floral jelly rolls that would work perfectly with this pattern. Thank you for the inspiration, Lissa.
Thanks for the tutorial and free Jelly Roll patterns 😊. I really appreciate the different color ways shown on the patterns. I am planning on sewing a similar one as shown on the Contessa pattern.
@@modalissaalexanderI have the msqc ruler too , it’s still suitable for jelly rolls as its designed to fit in a 2.5 inch , the dog ear slits are angled differently so if my memory serves me right, you need to line them up different when you piece them, one end , the top , will have the bottom fabric showing a little triangle while the bottom joint end will be fully covered by the top fabric, sorry, I know it makes absolutely no sense, but msqc also has a tutorial with a hexes quilt so they might provide a better visual aid, but I discovered it by playing about and it’s very easy, happy quilting
Hello Holly! We use the quarter inch foot and we do line up the edge of the foot with the edge of our fabric. We also use seam tape from Primitive Gatherings and Cluck Cluck Sew. Hope that helps!
Is the National Jelly Roll Day always September 21 or the Third Saturday of September? I remember it happening last year but I don't remember the date.
@@modafabrics Thanks for replying. That is what my logic and reasoning told me. And had I paid attention during the first minute of the video, she said that exact same thing. 🤭
As Nanette mentioned we love the Cluck Cluck Sew tape! The tape on our machine currently is from Primitive Gatherings--you can order it from their site!
Great video! You are a natural behind the camera. WE are looking forward to seeing lots more of you teaching us

Isn't Moda Lissa the best? I tell her all the time how great she is on video! Thank you for your comment!

@@modafabrics Oh -- and, Lissa, I own your book, "Scrap School" (actually just received it 2 days ago!) and I plan on making 7 of the 12 quilts in it!
@@KathyM-c6i yay!
Thank you I love your chain piecing! Gotta find a jelly roll
Excellent demonstration down to every detail, Lissa! Thank you.

Thank you for your great tutorial. It has screened at just the right time. I have the template and was wondering which pattern to use it for. ❤🎉
Your wonderful!!
Thanks for the video! Is this different than a template from MSQC that looks very similar?
MSQC make a version of this ruler also.

What foot are you using on your Juki? Are you using the side of the foot as your quarter inch guide?

Its always the third Saturday! So the numerical date will change each year.

Where did you get the diagonal seam tape and who makes it
Cluck Cluck Sew sells a good one

I am not hearing any music. I notice you like a juki
