It doesn't make sense to me that magic damage scaling is quadratic whereas phyisical is cubic. It should've been the opposite.
And damage limit should've been 9k for physical and 99k for magical, and once we get break damage limit, then 99k for everything except for Nova, Ultima and Aeon overdrives which should've been 999k
I've seen so many RPGs where magic doesn't scale so it's useless in end game. I don't know why devs can't seem to make it right.
@@astrius4125 100% hard agree. Damage limit should be ditched althoghether, but if it has to stay, then overdrives should have one tier higher, like 9k for normal skills, and 99k for overdrive, then 99k with break, and 999k for overdrives with break.
Those growth rates don't even have to be reversed, just made even. Physical weaker, but free, magic more expensive but with higher ceiling.
It's still a plague in modern jrpgs, feels like dev have some unwritten rule, that magic must always be weaker.
Another thing is, I don't think there are any mods to fix this shit in ffx, like hardtype for nocturne.

I did that when I first fought him. I tried using holy on it for yuna to get some Ap but it healed it i was soo surprised. So yuna was relegated to just keeping everyone healed.

Funny, how ironic this is. Of course, as we all know, he's an unsent but also he used to be a monk himself who was banished from the order for not following their bidding (They wanted him to marry the daughter of a high-ranking abbot, if I remember right.). He and Omega are quite alike, if you think about it.
Hardly... Auron never condemned the teachings of yevon like omega did.. Omega loathed yevon and its teachings.. Auron jyst refused to marry someone hugely different

Braska's party learnt the truth from Lady Yunalesca right before the end of his pilgrimage, but Braska decided to continue the pilgrimage and Jecht offered to be his Final Aeon.
Auron refused to accept this turn of events and decided to fight Lady Yunalesca alone afterwards in a fit of rage, where he died and became an Unsent.
Then Auron set out to take care of Tidus in Dream Zanarkand until Sin-Jecht came, where he (Auron) knew it was time to get Tidus to meet Yuna and others to finally take down Yu Yevon.

He's just commenting that they're about to fight one of the most powerful bosses ever.
I really wish they'd make Omega Weapon part of the Penance questline. As a multistage fight. Omega had a built storyline with detail rather than the dark aeons. Or he should've at least been harder.
He was disappointingly weak especially considering he shares a name with omega weapon from FFVIII who will absolutely pulverize you if you don't break the game.
At least he was stronger than Braskas final aeon

To make this challenging, i tend not to use break damage weapons and gives him haste. The battle is more fun that way, but unfortunately, i have more than 150 defense so omega’s attacks deal only 500 damage
DeadMemes NeedToStayDead i also do not use break damage weapons on dark valefor dark shiva dark ifrit and dark ixion. Its just more fun that way.

I was able to beat this without any hardcore grinding, about end of the storyline stats and man it was a fun challenge

Took me over an hour to beat. And several Phoenix's. And the item that negates MP cost
So did I. I only had 3 celestial weapons when I decided to kill ultima and omega weapon. I had Auron's masamune, Yuna's Nirvana and Rikku's Godhand.

I simply had Khimari use Lancet to learn his last Rage overdrive then immediately to my nuclear option, i.e. Magus Sisters overdrive

They buffed Omega, but not nearly enough. He needed to be closer to Nemesis in power at least, with all the hype around him, and the fact that he's at the end of a secret endgame dungeon.
Kinda sucks for omega. Banished to this place and you're minding your own business when the "heroes" come along and kill you for no real reason. And auron is such a hypocrite

They did that for the monk so he can rest in peace. When a person dies they turn Into a fiend or even makes them become a fiend. So omega is alive as a human but wants to be sent to the far plane to rest in piece. Think of it as a ghost you are doing them a favor so they can leave the world. That's why auron says that so the people in spira can live free.
Facts. Omega is pretty much a hero but no "via purifico" execution for him.

I didn't find Omega too challenging in this game. It was challenging enough that I quite enjoyed it and it made a fun fight. I only used my favorite team: Yuna, Tidus, and Auron, no summoning, and just under 9999 HP. Bur in comparison to Vercengetorix in XIII (or even Lightning Returns Ultimate Bosses) this challenge was child's play. Either way I enjoyed the challenge and still one of my favorite parts because of the fight and the ruins which are an excellent spot for Sphere Points and Gil.
Even funnier when you know you can bribe Ultima and stares for sec.
Then zero animation slides on out.
Seeing this i realise i spent way too much time in this game, both original ps2 from my brother, then my own and then on the steam version. Best videogame memories to date :)
The grind to get perfect stats and high as possible hp, the frustration with lightning dodges and the butterfly game, the shock of getting beaten before getting a turn by the dark aeons and the subsequent revenge, the cringe of that one scene (especially since someone walked in not knowing what that was all about), the kick ass music, the truth revealed and storming into bevelle, the easy of winning blitzball at high levels by scoring from center field with auroch wheels and jecht shot 2... if someone ever invents a thing to wipe your memories of a videogame so i can relive it all over let me know lol

I hv never done Omega with max stats and Ultimate weapons.. in my opinion it takes away the challenge.. he is way to easy like this :3.. BUT! you did a great job tho spending all your time in grinding and having so much HP holy fk! Lol lots of respect ;)!!!!

how long would it take me to max out most characters stats and when do I get the break HP limit equipment?
I don't know if theres changes in this version but it took me about 100hours to modify and grind my sphere grid to 255stats/99999hp in the original version.
You might do it faster, who knows.
Create the equipment yourself.
It’s not worth breaking the HP limit. Everything in the game that does more than 9999 will either kill you instantly or you can mitigate it below 9999

Eagle Nebula It's actually a side quest you can complete. It's like a dungeon full of high levels enemies including these two bosses.
Penance is not the hardest boss in game

Beat omega with auto phoenix, didn’t have break hp/mp/damage limit. My highest HP was around 7500, it was a big challenge though.

Ah yes, the Onion Knight. Enables Lulu unlimited magic, if I remember correctly. But, the absolutely ridiculous absurd process of gaining the Onion Knight was frustratingly improbable. ...Kudos to U.

Dodging lightning bolts 200 times is still 'easy' its just fucking annoying. Its rather easy to get frustrated and throw your controller at a wall.
It was hard at first but after i found my good spot it became easy. Tho i just rage when i am nearing 200 and them suddenly lightning struck me

It took me an hour to beat omega on Xbox one X yesterday but I made sure to use everyone while mainly using Me and Auron And Yuna or Wakka
i wasn't high enough level thankfully i had the magus sisters to beat him
I don't remember him having so much hp. I've beaten him before without any of the hp breaks and damage breaks.
International version in the remake, Omega went from 99,999 HP to 999,999 HP, making the fight much longer. You can still beat him without break damage limits, just takes forever
So Omega has a backstory, apparently he was a monk and defied Yevon's teachings.
but Penance doesn't even have an explanation as to why it exists. Man, even the Hell Wyrm from FF12 had a backstory.
I remember playing on the ps2, I defeated ultima but couldn't defeat omega.
I remember using kimahri's ultimate overdrive, nova on him and then he retaliated by using nova on my party.

Omega weapon in FF8 was way harder than this especially since damage cap was 9999 unless you had Eden, Ultima weapon was basically the same as this one, super easy
Tovo TheRobo Yeah but just like on here you can easily beat Omega (plus any boss) with Yojimbo’s Zanmato, in FF8 you can defeat anything easily with Selphie’s limit break “The End.”
That’s only if you wanna take a shortcut.

SonicIce it's by rare chance. The game will randomly generate loot and such by also done on overkill bonuses and other ways of permormance in battle with also who you finish the battle with. This is a weapon most likely, but rare if not exactly common as most weapons can be customized.
I had everyone's ultimate weapon back on the OG PS2 version, the only one I didn't bother getting was Lulu's cause fuck dodging 100 or 1000 lightning bolts in the thunder plains.
200 and yes it sucks balls. Made a specific save file on the remaster version so I only ever have to do this once for the rest of my life.

Fixed, but the tonberry family enemies do more damage with Karma based on how many kills your character has done. (E.g. don tonberry does [character kills × 100] so a character with 50 kills hitting him would be hit back with 5000 damage
Believe me! 9.999HP is more than enough to finish the game (incl. purgatory aeons). I just give Kimahri around 12.000HP, because he IS A BEAST of a character {biggest modelled character}... And I do not even use his HP break that much. {just 9.999}

doesn't it sound like "Ultima" should come AFTER Omega? I mean i hear the word "Ultima" its just two letter's away from Ultimate. The Ultimate lifeform, the Ultimate being. Omega sounds great and all but if I ever compared the two, I'd say Ultima sounds tougher :/
Omega is the last letter in greek alphabet, inspired by the book of revelation, from the sentence " i am the alpha and the omega" it symbolizes THE END of everything. Ultima is latin (portuguese and spanish uses it)for THE LAST. Omega ends all, the last weapon comes before the end.
Omega is far superior in both meaning and word sounding.

No clue tbh unless she has 2 mp cost which would be dumb cause yuna gets 1 mp cost and has a higher magic stat what makes it even worse is yuna probably has the easiest celestial weapon to obtain while lulu has one of the hardest
@Mohd helmi That’s because of Lulu’s celestial weapon (Onion Knight). One MP Cost + Magic Booster = 2 MP per magic spell cast
Excluding dark aeons and penance, Omega is the most powerful boss in ffx.
Not by a huge mile. Between Omega and Dark Aeons there is an entire zoo of Originals which are more powerful than Omega and most Dark Aeons and Species Conquest which are all stronger than Omega. And of course Nemesis, who is arguably stronger than Penance due to its not solidified pattern.

CPTDOOMED how do I get that onto my armor
Break Hit Point Limit is obtained by customizing armor using 30x Wings to discovery.
You can get 30x Wings to Discovery by winning the Remiem Temple Race while opening three treasure chests (one time only).
The Monster Arena Original Creation Shinryu will drop one (ordinary kill) or two (Overkill) upon each defeat.
4 can be obtained on each bribe of the Malboro in the Calm Lands (approximately 540,000 Gil) and 8 on each bribe of the Great Malboro in the Omega Dungeon (approximately 1,280,000 Gil).

But the thing is you can’t have omega without Alpha..That is the code of LIBRA ♎️...This dungeon is the best dungeon in Final Fantasy 10 in my humble opinionated self and soul..... Everything is balance...Nothing can be created and nothing can be destroyed hate death is a lie the omega glory is a lie because it cannot exist without alpha just as Yin and Yang ☯️.... and everything in between the alpha glory the omega glory join in the universe perhaps starts again some other way..

So I don't know anything about X, I just clicked on this cuz I'm currently [re]playing VIII. So... I'm not sure how OP the PC's were. But Omega in 8 would have destroyed anyone so bored they would try to steal from it. I had to stop drawing from Ultima because every time I did he would back-to-back one shot my PC's, Omega would wreck you.

@@reneelisardo9502 jeez... nemesis can go down couple of times with celestial weapons inhand. It just takes away the challenge. You dont even need that 100,000 hp.
