Sometimes parents make a baby name list when they're expecting a child. My mother actually still had that list and we picked my name from there, because she didn't like the names I picked. 😂 It's definitely good to involve your parents if they're supportive.
Hey Mack. Im a 65 year old straight male and not quite sure how i ended up here lol, but just the same interesting topic for anyone. We obviously don't get to chose our names the 1st time around so getting a 2nd crack at it would be pretty cool. Its interesting the names you thought of Aaron, Auston, Levi, where my generation would likely think Albert, Andrew, Larry. Obviously some names popular in the 40's for example, Agnes, Gertrude, Monica (womens names were easier in this example) likely wouldn't be considered today. Interestingly your choices of Aaron, Jacob and Levi are all strong traditional Jewish names. You must have a strong Christian upbring or jewish names are just cooler lol. Anyway good luck on your journey.
Naming yourself after historical figures or fictional characters is a rad thing, too, although you definitely should think twice about it before you call yourself Castiel or Daenerys (not saying you shouldn't go for it, just keep in mind that people /will/ always associate you with the respective show)
lolI was just done crying when I saw your video trying to look for tips. I've had alot of names in these three years. mason, miles, jay, lloyd, tyrone and so on. but they never really felt like *me*. it's hard for me because google doesn't have all the answers and I don't have anyone else that would understand this kind of thing to talk too anymore so this video really helped me :)
I can't come out cuz my parents are really transphobic but as a joke I asked my friend to help me pick out a name. The name she chose I go by to my friends now as a nick name.
I picked my bio dad middle name as a name and a fav actor name as my middle name . My bio dad died when I was a baby then I took my step dad who raised me last name as a second middle name
For me, I had a really easy time choosing a name since from the time I was like 5 or 6 I was obsessed with the name Charlie and tried getting everyone to start calling me it (to varying degrees of success). I'm honestly still debating whether I want that as my legal name when I get it changed or if I legally want to be named Charles and have Charlie as a nickname.
When I was in 1st grade I asked my mom what my name would have been had I been born the opposite sex, and so the name she said is what I changed it to because having my parents' support is very important to me
I legally changed my name already and sometimes I still feel like it doesn’t fit me. But I don’t feel strongly about any names so I sorta just went with what my parents would’ve named me if I was born male. Because I didn’t want to pick a name they didn’t like. And i don’t like any names. None really feel like me
Good video and I like these ideas. I went with the same first initial as my former name so my signature would be exactly the same, because it's a "K" and then a swiggle line! ;)
Ok so someone pls give me some advice: When i started questioning my gender at 13, id always fantasize about what boy id be. I decided id be a boy with long hair and sweatpants, with the name.. Luc. That was my uncles name, but that didnt matter because it was just a dream i always loved the name. So when things got more serious and i wanted to use a masc name in places like starbucks, id obviously go for Luc. But now im actually on the point of coming out, and only just realising itd be very weird to chose the name name as my uncle. But... Im really attached to it now!!! Should i find a new one or keep Luc?
I'm searching for a name right now. My mother didn't chose a male name if I would have become a boy. I would love to have a english name because I don't like german boy names but with a german last name everything sounds weird😂 I'm stucking with the name Dean and Hunter for a reason but I don't know 😂 So hard to pick one. My Mom just said that I should pick any name and that she doesn't care because I need to be happy with it. This doesn't make it easier 😂
@@flourishblotts620 ich hab jetzt zum Glück endlich einen guten Namen gefunden. Er ist nicht Englisch aber auch nicht so typisch deutsch. Müsste glaube ich griechisch sein😏👌🏻
0:14 thats so real bro... gotta catch them all!

I tried on Casey at first and then Spencer but when I saw the name Max that was it I just knew that was my name. Thanks for the video, Mack!
I ended up picking the name Levi but recently I've been doubting it. Hearing it so many times in the video though made me realize it feels right.
