Still never seen s8 & never will, I was pretty checked out part way through seasom 5 (that's when they cut a book & a halfs worth of story then complained about lack of source material)
when I was in film school (in the 90's) the reflex defense of shoddy work was always "you just don't understand what I'm trying to do." My response, and the other rational people in class where always, "yes we see what you are "trying" to do... you're just doing it very very badly." This was before they could just reflexively call us bigots... it was a wonderful time.

The only time I think of witches in Star Wars is the Nightsisters but that's because they're actually great (mostly the ones we see during the Clone Wars)

It doesn't even need to be 20yrs ago for real star wars authors to have lines. 2 yrs ago, I went to a con specifically to get real Star Wars books signed by Michael Stackpole that he wrote decades ago.
Force Awakens ruined Star Wars the most. It destroyed the world building and reverted character arcs and growth right off the bat. 30 years later and the republic is inept and still fighting the empire.
It is weird that more people haven’t reached the enlightened position that E;R reached right off the bat. They utterly destroyed Han, the manliest character from the original Star Wars, and made him a deadbeat dad, but people were way more upset when they ruined Luke…. And he didn’t even appear in TFA until the very last scene. It really is incredible that it can be argued that both subsequent movies did even more damage to the lore! They broke the Force (Yoda lightning) and space warfare in TLJ (hyperspace kamikaze). In TroS, they then introduced light speed skipping, Force Healing (which ruins lightsabre combat), villains that didn’t know which way was up, and ruined the entire saga up to that point by bringing the Emperor back with possibly the worst line of dialogue ever written (“Somehow, the Emperor returned”).
You guys are right. TFA destroyed the setting, TLJ destroyed the stakes, TROS destroyed everything that remained
Yep TFA is a terrible Star Wars movie because the world building and characterizations are crap. Its mediocre at best as just a superficial sci-fi adventure film but as a sequel to Return of the Jedi its awful. Han and Luke are both character assassinated. Luke would never abandon his friends/family like that and Han going back to being a smuggler was lazy af. He should've been a grand admiral of the fleet or something. I despise that movie!

I subscribed to BritBox and watching all the Classic Doctor Who seasons. Also since I had purchased all the modern DW seasons from Christopher Eccleston to Peter Capaldi throughout the years I'm watching those. Peter Capaldi is the END of Doctor Who for me. Star Wars I only consider those made by George Lucas. Screw you Disney with your message crap.
One of the worst things too is how a bunch of times they reuse Star Wars lines from the original movies like classic lines and they reword them and they sound horrible and don't make any sense. It's fucking pathetic

I felt sorry for the 2 young girls in episode three whose education must have suffered, particularly maths, when the cult of lesbian witches could only count to 2. Anything over 2 is many! 3 x 2 = many, 100 - 10 = many, many jedi have come to visit us. 8 episodes = Too Many!😅
Last Jedi did the most damage however Obi wan is the head shot. After that even the die hard admitted it was over.
The Red Wedding is terrible on the TV version. They messed it up from the start when Walder Frey says, " the RED will flow." NOT, "red wine." Then no Stark Bannermen fighting to the last. Beating freys to death with a lamb joint. Just blurgh.

The Andor show retconned the most interesting thing about the character. In Rogue One it is implied, and confirmed in ancillary material that came out with the film, that Andor's family were Separatists during the Clone Wars. He says in RO that he has "been in this fight" since he was six years old. To Andor this has been one long fight against the corrupt Republic that became the Empire, and the Rebels are just a continuation of Separatists who truly believed they were fighting against a corrupted Republic, rather than those at the top who were in it purely for greed, or the Sith manipulating both sides. But the show retconned his age (making him ten when the Clone Wars started) and showed nothing of his or his family's fight against the Republic. Tony Gilroy decided it was more interesting for Andor to be part of the goofy Beyond Thunderdome/Lord of the Flies kids. Maybe they could add something to Season 2, but I refuse to watch anything Disney anymore.
You would write a better story just based on what i see here
While I liked Andor, I really wish the show had stayed consistent with the character's original backstory.

The scenes with the witches was so badly lit that I thought their outfits were ALL black. I could see very little difference in the style of the outfits. ANY GOOD director should know to make the background dark and foreground lighter to see the details. Common sense!

RTD says Dr Who is now for 30 yr olds. So why did they bring back a monster from a 1975 episode. This is "series one" they just want a new "modern" audience. The big reveal in Legend of Ruby Sunday would have meant nothing to anyone who's just come into the show.
Davies is just another entertainment industry con artist. He will hang around ruining the show as long as he keeps being paid. (Hopefully Disney goes under soon.)

I still think it’s more than just that she is dead. The secret to immortality that Palpatine used involved transferring himself into a clone. An identical twin is a genetic clone. She transferred herself to her sister’s body and they share it. “I am you”, “two are one”, all that jazz is foreshadowing to the “big reveal”.
They'll even show the scenes again where Osha is conveniently in view of scenes we never saw her in previously
Yeah. I have to say that my favorite Companion for the Doctor is Romana II, (Her female interpretation of the 4th Doctor was perfect. I loved that initial pink and white 4th Doctor-inspired outfit.) followed by Leela who is literally the strongest female Companion of the entire series. A bit savage, but that woman was utterly logical and true to herself, and if someone attacked her, she would stab them with a knife which I think is badass.
Gary coming up with a background for the cultural contractor was more effort than they put into this show.

That woman talking about "noble colours" shows how little these people actually know about nobility. Nobility comes from within; it's the behaviour, the baring and the actions of a person that shows them to be noble. You can put expensive purple and royal blue clothes on some schmuck, but that doesn't make that person noble.

Seems like they are just using the names of well liked IP's, not ideas or visual references from the movies and tv shows.
They are just destroying the things they are involved in and trying to gaslight people into believing that the better pieces of art actually was inspiration for this. The only inspiration they took from those IP's is there name.
The riff on fight club is that Mae is dead and force possessed OSHA (technically her clone-so a la Palpatine but first). So that is why she conversed with Mae in a dream. Plus the whole “you are me I am you crap”.
That is why there was no actual investigation on where people were and when. Plus my guess is she is also using force projecting for some of the assassinations, because why not.
