Sounds about how I was when I was that age. I was probably worse though lol. When I was 12 I had already been expelled from 2 schools, started a forest fire and got a girl pregnant.
It always makes me respect a band a little more when you can tell they're tired as fuck from being on the road for months, yet they're still polite, patient, and even engaging with all the questions.
This is a cool interview. For those of you who are younger: Although they have fallen off, when Korn started out, they were one of a kind. Tuned super low and with a hip hop influence, Korn represented a totality of all our influences in the 90's. We grew up on Metallica and NWA, Pantera and Ice Cube..so when this shit came out, it blew our minds. Nu-Metal is a joke now, but it paved the way for a shit-ton of what everyone listens to now and definitely a deserves chapter in the book of all important music.
Fallen off? Wtf rare you talking about...KoRn is STILL relevant. When the first KoRn album came out those dudes were in their twenties... they have grown as musicians and people..learn to respect that or just fuck off..KoRn is still KoRn ..I've been down for them for almost 20 years strong...still the best fucking band ...tired of the shit talkers who think they know it all...
he was probably 16 or something, just too embarassed to admit he was dumb enough to try and silence a chain by putting his finger on it hahaha less embarassing if you're 12
I was a bad kid in elementary school and was at the principles office all the time and rays mom was the principal. she really liked me and most of the time she would just talk to me like a friend and tell me I was a good kid. she had a picture of him playing drums on the wall. funny thing is all the kids made her out to be mean but I thought she was great. I'm sure if she heard my name she'd remember me I was in her office once a week for fights, playing with my food, tripping people just being a jack off lol good times. it just blows my mind this dude came from this area it's almost as good as the fact that zao is from greensburg and the guitarist worked at my local cash n culture on off tour dates.
Could they have filmed this in a worse fuckn environment?! What jackass thought "Hey guys! Lets film this outside, only use the camera mic so people can barely hear Munky and Ray talking. And while we are at it, lets have a bunch of city buses drive back and forth in the background while simultaneously starting and stopping so the viewers can only hear air brakes and diesel engines. Yeah lets fuck this interview up properly"
After reading your comment I had to leave the room. It's hilarious because its true, however I couldn't breathe or finish the video because of what you said.
Daniel Perry It just aggravates me because all of Loudwire's other interviews are done indoors in a nice way were you can hear everything perfectly. Then they go and show disrespect by interviewing one of the greatest rock bands of our time in this shitty way.
So Munky from Korn, and Stephen from Deftones both picked up guitar to rehab from an injury? Two of the best guitarists from the age of Nu metal. That's awesome lol
I had the same accident, except it was with a stationary bycicle, lost the tip of my index finger on my right hand, I started playing the guitar a few years later, of course I grew up listening to Korn
Let’s send the rookie for these heavyweights and make sure you find the busiest multi-lane freeway for ambience... try to find a place where people hoot a lot, coz that’s how much we respect Korn and their fans and our viewers. But seriously, thank the parents. I mean if your kid gets a motorcycle at 12 yes he’s going to keg parties, yes he going to be a rock star and yes he will change the world.
Ray must take his job very seriously, even painting his eyes and using that hilarious haircut. He never did it before with Army Of Anyone or solo, so I guess the band must have asked him to adapt to that style.
Korn has not falling off sure they have some albums that aren’t as great as others but to claim they fell off completely is idiotic to say. Listen to their last 2 albums or even their latest album album people if you think they fell off.
People and music changes also. I was onboard up to Follow The Leader, after that it just didnt connect with me the same. Was it bad? No We grew apart :D
Their new albums have definitely been amazing and really hard more aggressive and heavy and amazing ❤❤❤ their old music was different like clown fa4et blind did my time etc were amazing then of course their are some album of their that didn't do well but Korn will always have a place in my heart and I'm really glad Brian came back
Erm O_O -- whoever edited this video should have used a noise reduction plug-in...the noise from the cars / wind is annoying as fuck, you can barely hear the interview.
You guys cannot choose anywhere else to film it . All you can hear is a background noise of the traffic. You can barely hear the guys telling their answers.
Yep, he lost part of it from when he was sneaking out to go to a keg party, he got his finger caught in the chain of his 3-wheeler. He planned to drive the 3 wheeler to Oildale from Bakerfield, they would have keg parties out in the middle of nowhere in the fields near Oildale.
@@wildnfearless9840 He actually confirmed that? I remember fans kept speculating for years that he was. But I didn't know he actually confirmed that he's half White, half Native American. Either way, he isn't entirely White.
Ray's actually never done drugs chief. And I know this because I have a friend who plays drums for Blue Man Las Vegas and he's personally friends with all the Korn guys, specifically Munky and Ray.
I do that all the time too...touching my nose mostly during my Math class examinations...I guess that I do that when I'm stressed etc. and I never got to do cocain
Shut up Dave. That is not any indication. Their speech is very relaxed, there's no indication of increased anxiety or heart rate. They are hardly even moving about.
12 years old riding a motorcycle to a keg party? Jesus, when I was 12 I was watching cartoons and drinking Hawaiian Punch
Lol.
Sounds about how I was when I was that age. I was probably worse though lol. When I was 12 I had already been expelled from 2 schools, started a forest fire and got a girl pregnant.

WOW WHAT AN EXCELLENT IDEA FILMING/RECORDING THIS RIGHT NEXT TO A BUSY STREET, SUCH GENIUS OMG
Omg yes lol

i own every single korn album there is, so shush missy
well you wasted your money, I had the first 3 and gave up, I saw them live a bunch in the 90's but prolly wouldnt care to again, but to each his own

Omg you fucking nipple I'm rolling at the comment x'D
***** I agree they need David back to get their grove back.

The best part of the crappy audio is the auto-generated closed captions has Ray discussing how he was a big fan of "porn."
one of the best drummer in the world with the worst haircut in the world
Lloyd Christmas from Dumb and Dumber 😂
could you have filmed this not in a fucking construction zone
what 12/13 year old is seeking out on motorcycles to go to keg party's i mean damn that's metal
he was like John Connor from T2
he was probably 16 or something, just too embarassed to admit he was dumb enough to try and silence a chain by putting his finger on it hahaha less embarassing if you're 12
Everyone's bitching about the background noise, I didn't even pay attention to it once during the whole thing.
Rasta kirk Hammett

Jack Sparrow

Why was he so embarrassed and in denial about playing guitar at Fieldy's wedding?
It never happened.
I had the same accident, except it was with a stationary bycicle, lost the tip of my index finger on my right hand, I started playing the guitar a few years later, of course I grew up listening to Korn
Yes Ray. Good call on Bozzio. A fantastic drummer he is... and so are you.
Were they filming this right as they were about to board a plane!?
David's mom drove him to band practice... Sorry, I'm just trying to wrap my head around that.
He was only 16 when he joined. So it's not that bad I guess. He was 18 when the first album dropped
Ray luzier woke up one day and thought fuck it, I want to look like the guy at the start of the sixth sense.
Yeah fucking Donnie Wahlberg
What I've always wanted to know is, did he still make it to that keger?

He looks like a mix of Jack Sparrow and Snoop Dogg
Ray and Munky are such cool dudes!!!
Talk, touch nose, talk, touch nose. MAN! My nose is numb as shit!!
That drummer looks like that dude off of road trip🤣🤣🤣
Yeah Dj Squalls
it would be cool to do a fact of fiction video with David Silveria
+Fernando Caro Márquez david is a fucking liar
fact.
Sergio Ihama why?
No it wouldn't. He is not in the band anymore and needs to stay that way
Ray is a waaay better drummer then David will ever be
Agreed
Ray is awesome but i do miss David's groove to me it was a huge part of the original KoRn sound.
Ray is better technically. But David was a better drummer for Korn, not even Ray can duplicate David's groove.
to me Ray seemed like a cooler, more chilled out person, much more similar to Munky and JD
heck yes, Ray is a drum god. fucking Savage
I know, I should get annoyed by the background noises, but it is just too damn funny :D
Where you guys interviewing them while a space shuttle was taking off?
I'm gonna have to clean this audio up with audacity and listen again later
Invest into some lapel mics or a better soundman.
since its 2017, do you think the skyscraper in the background is built yet
Gabetiger probably
Approximately every two years album is out.
Maybe film the next one when the nukes start flying, yeah?
Actually I think I feel special now . I had a serious finger accident when I was 8 :)
Do James Hetfield!
I could hardly hear any of that!!!!
No Jon or Head? Man, this episode would've been so much better with them.
I wanted to see this but I can't because the audio is so bad it literally fucking hurts.
Who likes the old drummer better?
I CANT HEAR!!
Me neither
Cant hear crap but I need to watch it for Ray:k
Just Ray, Mr personality
Sound Guy Fail....
couldn't agree more with you

that background noise though
Yeah it's hard to hear what they're saying
Fact: Korn Reconciliation 2.
You guys should get an a7x member on
Did you guys use your phones to record this? wtf
C'mon Munky, I'm sure he'd have bigger heroes than Fieldy of all people. Collaboratively they were good, but as an inspiration?
He said head. And he learned how to play guitar pretty quick to say. They were childhood brothers(friends)
Head not Fieldy
Korn song at the beginning?
manu15771 never never
What?
haha i don't know why i laughed so hard at this, but i did
He has that same Tony Ioammi fucked up fingers thing going on.

Great Interview but maybe choose a better place next time. :D
If I wanted to listen to cars instead of band members, I'd go to New York City.
Man record in a better area
David Should Be Given a 2nd Chance......
He didn't want to be in anymore which is why he skipped practice so much
Cmon find a better place!
