My maternal grandparents raised me from birth till I was fourteen when my grandfather's health declined. I remember The Lefevres on Sunday mornings on TV. Watching on RUclips just made me miss my grandparents so very much. They took me in when no one else would as I needed many surgeries from three months old onward. My dear sweet grandmother would sing those songs while washing dishes. My fondest childhood memories.
He was a blessing with the inspirations, whom I listened to for decades. I remember going to KMart to look for their music. Everyone of their songs was a blessing.
I searched and I searched for the road that leads to glory, I wondered if I'd ever find the way; I sat down to rest for my feet had grown so weary, But then I heard a voice within me say. cho: You've got to keep on walking, keep on walking Walking in the light of the Lord; You'll get to heaven someday better get in the right way, Walking in the light of the Lord. 2. I prayed and I prayed for the Lord to give me mercy, I prayed for Him to brighten up the day; I was so afraid for the road now seemed so lonely, But then I heard a voice within me say.
I think at one time the LeFevres had their own local (or even syndicated) TV show. During the early to mid-60s they were part of the Gospel Singing Caravan TV Show. It featured them, Blue Ridge, Johnson Sisters, and maybe the Weatherfords. Also, this appears to be late 60s and Mylon was part of the group, shown here playing a snare drum. In concert they’d feature him on at least one solo. He bounced back and forth between his family group and the Stamps.
I found a LeFevres record today' '' The LeFevres Play Gospel Music'' CAS-9662-LP It was such a great find because they were so good! I've enjoyed watching all of the old footage.

One of the first Southern gospel groups to introduce a backing band with electric guitars.
As a Holiness Pentecostal preacher in southeastern Kentucky, my grandpa sang this song many times. Everytime I sing this, I think of him.
Rex Nelon....one of my all time favorite bass singers. Beautiful line....
My favorite kind of gospel
Dr. Gene Scot, God rest his soul, sang this with his sparkly blye eyes. God bless
I love this song
You better get in the right way. Great bass singing by Rex Nelon.

Don't ch dare miss it! Really good.
Enjoying
Rex's voice sounds just like Johny Cash
I always thought the same, but Rex can actually sing on key.
Johnny Cash couldn’t carry a tune in a bucket. Rex was a fantastic bass singer, with good range and a smooth sound.
Yes.@@seancoxen3329
I loved this group.
Rex was also good at baritone
Bass
When he took on the verse it's like he wasn't singing bass
What show is this From????????
Maybe Gospel Jubilee, but I think they had their own TV show on regional TV.
The Left-overs.
