I was diagnosed with 4 mental health illnesses. Depression, anxiety, Bipolar, & schizophrenia. Took medication 2.5 yrs. & $2,700.oo shots for 2 yrs. I have been off these medications for over 2.5 yrs now.
I was delivered from anxiety, fear, paranoia, depression & much more. The
Good Lord is the Great Physician & healer, Jesus is the way maker!!
Proverbs 12:25 (NKJV) Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, But a good word makes it glad.

This reminds me of my grandmother house. She passed 2 yrs ago at the age of 100 yrs old. I miss her everyday.
Even back then the producers of the show resisted having this as part of the show. For me, it was the best part of the show.
I've never heard this before. Gospel music was a big part of HeeHaw. Several albums were released with the HeeHaw gospel quartet, with various members over the years. There's enough negativity in the world as it is..... why even mention this ?
@@TheDjdonnie68 I mention it because I believe it was God's work to put the gospel music in the show and there were forces at work to try and prevent it. Producers were no doubt wanting to reach as many viewers as possible. So there was motivation not to offend some who might be offended by gospel music. I think God had other plans. The men who played the music were Christians. The producers....maybe not, don't know.
You may be correct about the producers, I don't know either. I was born and raised in the south, im sure there were people not wanting the gospel shared, but luckily I never heard of it here. We didn't know what being offended was back then. Some were just more religious than others.

I apologize to you. I believe I misinterpreted your original comment. It was meant to be positive and I viewed it as negative. We can both still enjoy the HeeHaw gospel quartet thanks to videos like these. So thankful to have grown up in the era I did. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
My dad never went to church, but he watched Hee Haw religiously. He met Jesus 2 days before he passed in a vision. He was so excited.

I remember when we would all get together and sing gospel music like this. Back when ppl were God fearing. These days it's like God has been forgotten. I miss the old days . The 🌎 was a much better place
My late husband would have loved this one. When his dementia was progressing he would have me write the words to a hymn on a card for him to try to memorize and sing. His memorization was spotty and he couldn’t carry a tune at all but it made him happy.
This time in life was great. Now we deal with lies woman think they are men and men think they are women how hard it that to figure out. What a world.

I'm 67 yrs old and can still say what a time that was when lots of relatives then would stand around kitchen table and sing this to my grandmother.
Wounderfull songs that the new generation has forgottten
‘God’s light is forever there shining.’ I’m no longer new but I was born long after these recordings were made. There may be precious few but not all have forgotten. By luck, I may have another 70 years and will help keep these songs alive for as long as I am able.

I visited "Archie's Place" in Gatlinburg Tennessee in the 80s.

You might be referring to the Archie Campbell Theater a few miles up the road in Pigeon Forge Tn. I visited the ACT back in the fall of 1991 and loved the simple setup of comedy and traditional music. Today the building is known as The Comedy Barn and the show has completely changed with a dog act , some music other things that I didn't enjoy nearly as much as the original ACT.
It will be beautiful we'll have eternal life there Amen 🙏

My, how far we have fallen! Can you imagine this on prime time now? I sure do miss those days when it was common.
These gentlemen showed their faith in Jesus by being obedient to the great commission. They were unashamed and perfect in their faith that these songs would have a positive impact on a secular T.V. show.
Today we see regular mass murders, have leaders that push the abortion doctrine , and virtually all mainline denominations have kicked Jesus out. Truly we are in the age of Matthew chapter 24. Jesus is coming soon based on the signs we see.

I can recall sitting in an old country church with grandad 50 + years ago and singing this type of music. All those old church members have been called home now. But I know I will see them soon in heaven. Because we have a living Savior! Thank you Jesus!
