      Yeah? .... And it only takes one illness or other bad medical situation when you have no insurance to finish you financially for the rest of your life. It's a big risk that few make it through successfully, the rest are ruined for life either financially or in some cases medically from injuries. A lot of these people don't tell you that they had wealthy parents as backup.

    • @mikelewis2253
      @mikelewis2253 4 года назад +2

      @@MotoAtheist Not everyone has to try a slopestyle jump to check this box. Most of us can do this with much less extreme options. I've heard a lot of people near the end of their lives say they wish they had tried more things and been more adventurous. I have yet to hear anyone say "I tried too many hard things". Or "I should've stuck more to my comfort zone".

    • @MotoAtheist
      @MotoAtheist 4 года назад +1

      @@mikelewis2253 ???? My comment had nothing to do with any one particular goal. It's the ridiculous attitude of drop everything and go after your goals. It's not that simple and most people ruin their lives trying. You need money to survive in this world. If they don't have some kind of backup plan, when things go wrong, their life will suck 1,000 times more than when they decided to drop everything in the first place. All you have to do is look at all the people who chase baseball, football and soccer careers. Very few make it, even those with exceptional skills for one reason or another. It's always the loudmouth blowhards who managed to beat the system that have this ridiculous attitude of "chase your goals at all costs". Hindsight always makes everything seem possible, doesn't it. Well, hindsight goes both ways. Go find the millions of people who didn't make it and get their opinion on this subject.

    • @mattlane8257
      @mattlane8257 4 года назад +1

      @@MotoAtheist he did not say you have to "drop everything" to chase a dream. The point is you have to sacrifice SOME comfort and security in order to live that way. There are plenty of sports such as mountain biking that don't require some natural athletic gift to be successful/good at too. You don't have to take sports to an elite level to have lived your dream.

    When you were talking about Mcgazza I nearly geared up. I live in New Zealand and grew up riding Mountain bikes. Mcgazza was my idol, like I would wake up everyday wishing a could be with him. Long live Mcgazza!!

    Nice video Seth. Eric's yard looks rad. I came across another one of your videos the other day with Eric and saw the slides in his backyard. I thought those look like Beringer's slides. A couple days later I find myself sitting in a pole barn, in my home state of Nebraska, with Beringer himself. We are shooting the breeze and riding some bikes when I asked him about it. He was like yeah Eric had gotten the slides from him. Cool to see the whole story come full circle with this video that I just now watched a couple days later. BTW I am stoked for you to conquer your demons and get over those jumps.

    Seth, you definitely have the art of making videos down. Watching your weekly video is like visiting with an old friend.
