As someone who takes a lot of naps in their car these are really useful. I live in a pretty cold climate, while not as cold as you it's reassuring knowing sitting in a EV using heat won't drain it in a afternoon lol
there's an interesting article on insidev about charge port placement, it seems based on how the maker sees their customers charging: curbside? in a garage? and on which side of the road people drive in the target countries
Nice video! Good to know: you can configure the default mode as climate or navigation. With this option the system can automatically switch back to the set default after a few seconds when you changed it temporarily to the other mode.

Ordered my AWD GT-Line in Red - in Denmark head-up display is bundled with sunroof, which is somewhat a bummer if you're 6ft4 like me - means seat has to in lowest position to get headroom clearance. Man, I'm 6ft2 and tried to sit in the EV6 drivers seat (with the sunroof). It did not work, I bumped my head when turning my head to the left. I hope this car will work for you though (do you have really long legs, or is it my torso that is super tall?)

I think I am pretty average legs/torso-wise 😜 If I had had the option to configure without sunroof, I'd done that. I see in many other markets Head-up display is included in GT-Line spec, just not so in Denmark

No problem to wash a ceramic coating. Just use a totally normal pH neutral car shampoo free of any other sealants/wax etc. Nothing agressive. Can be bought anywhere.
Temperatur is set to 21.5C (11:04). Indoor temp reading is not necessarily the air temp inside the car. Seen some cars display the temp of the middle screen for instance, if you check values via ODB2.
Bjorn, one question, @)9:55 you say that to reach 80%, it takes you 25 minutes instead of the claimed 18 minutes by the manufacturer. A bit earlier, you said that you came in with 1,5% battery, so did it take you 25 minutes to charge from 1,5% to 80%, or did it take you 25 minutes to charge from 10% to 80%?
What did you think about the wheel wells and the snow accumulation? Ive noticed it really packs it in there. Maybe you didn't have a good snow day with it.

I have a problem with my EV6. Just about one millimeter of translucent/watery snow on the front radar is enough to deactivate the adaptive cruise control and several security functions. Did you experience that, Bjørn? And I don’t think it’s possible to activate normal cruise control only. It’s quite irritating, and I hope it isn’t normal. Merry Christmas to everyone :) .

Bjørn, love your detalied videos! Im in the market for a new ev car. Which car in the pricerange around 500k would you reccomend? The car needs to have good back seat space for 3 kids, good towing capacity close to 2000kg, and have good range. I’m close to vw, skoda, kia, mercedes, ford and tesla dealers. Testdriven ev6, enyaq, mach-e and e-niro.
@@onlineo2263 Enyaq iv60 a great car, but why this skoda is priced so high vs the id4 are a mystery. Some things bother me, wipers make a servo like noise. reverse lights are way to weak in the dark can’t see anything in the reverse cam. Slow charging speed. Also another positive are the rear drum brakes, say no to rusty rear brakes. Not tried the id4 but leaning to id4 due to pricing. Ev6 seems to be a better ride, good balance between smoothnes and stiffnes. Feels moore modern, also chargespeed is great. The question is if the middle rear seat design will make for a uncomfortable sitting for the mid passenger, need to bring our rear seat testers for this one as the EV6 is high on my list! Kia e-niro quick and snappy, felt very light and had punch like a rocket ship! The car is a older design, but you get a lot of value for the money. However this is the smallest of the cars testes, and would not be a car to do make 3-4 hours long trips with 5 in the car. But a great driving experience and good value car, saiils up as the biggest surprise on my testdrive session. Mach-e wow, the looks of this car in red are stunning. Driver seats are great. Only had a 30 min ride in this, first impression is the car feels heavy and the ride is a bit bouncy. Also the entertainment system or some of the screens made a constant high pitch tone that would drive me insane. Not sure about this one.
I drive the E Niro which has superior spec in terms of efficiency, power, value for money and equipment compared to the German EVs, only charge speed is lower. For many people DC fast charge speed is irrelevant as 80-90% of home charging is overnight AC on cheap tariff. Space in the back seat is good, we can fit one adult and two child seats, no problem. Three kids, easy. However, in the UK the E Niro is not specified for towing, not sure about mainland Europe or the US?
So Bjørn, seeing what you have seen now, EV6 vs Model Y, comprehensively which one would you choose if you pay from your own pocket? Also, I am relatively new to your channel (been your fan for over 2 months now), do you have a video about Tesla cosmetic issues? @@bjornnyland Though in these cars it is not an ‘option’. It is set by the car not by the driver. It would be a dream to be able to have the driver choose the setting. But, most EV owners do not want to worry or deal with these decisions/options.

Not wash the car becouse of ceramic coating?? wtf?!? One of the big point of ceramic coating is to make it easier to was and most chemicals are OK to use. All my cars ceramic coated and sure the stronger chemicals you use the faster it will be gone, bust still most still last long.

I am about to order an EV6 without the sunroof being 6 ft 5 :) I tested the EV6 with SR and it didnt work out.

If you can affort it, go for the Model Y. It's just a bit better in everything except the ride comfort is a bit stiffer.
@@wybren18 Don't forget it definitely charges slower than EV6, but the efficiency makes up for that on longer trips.
There aren’t many stations that can handle the speed and the car being in that perfect condition for it. For the record I got the EV6

The regular ABB Terra 54 has modular inverters. However the inverter it self is rarely the cause of downtime, according to my experiences.

Would a small heater not need much less energy? I used one in a small camping car. It heated the small cabine very good and used only 250W.
250w to heat up a car in -7 degrees? Sounds unrealistic. Was the camping car well insulated maybe?

Bjórn, I see your inside temperature is a bit high if you make it between 72-73 F that might help with the consumption and give you a better range. Also if you use the driver only feature that might help.
What is this crazy temperature scale? Bjorn drives in Norway and uses Celsius in the car, why suggest temperatures in F?
