Hunny I would be letting my hair breathe and massage growth oils on scalp and praying over it. I did the same for my nails. Wore fake nails for most of my life, it destroyed my natural nails. During COVID I vowed to never put a drill or acrylic on them ever again, massaged oils, prayed over them daily, and I have strong beautiful, long nails now and I feel so free and proud of them.
Really Glory to God🙌 recently had shaved my hair off why I tuned in🥴Im with you about praying I wore a wig over 10yrs my hair grew praying for it but had no edges. Went back to dumb sewing then mistakenly used a relaxer thinking it was a conditoner been over processing my hair now had to shave it off🤦 back to a wig I don't have courage to walk around bald this style is cute but wouldn't have done it this soon just me🤷

You are so very talented and you take so much pride in your work. My opinion probably won’t count but I love love love the the string on the ponytail but the clips on the side were a little to much. The style is beautiful but I thought the purpose of shaving her head initially was because her hair became damaged. Unless this process is going to be done once in a blue moon, applying heat to the hair will put her back in the same boat in the next 2-5 years.
@@shacelinegoode9896 chemical damage and heat damage creates the same results...thinning hair, split ends and hair breakage. Natural hair doesn't automatically mean healthy hair, we gotta take of the natural hair too which means limited to no heat.
@@melissaruffin9708 some Naturals can get away with weekly, fortnightly and monthly flat irons. I am not one of those Naturals. I have ultra-fine hair that is extremely prone to breakage. One week in the sun is enough to damage my hair(UVdamage) . Twisting my scarf in the same place tightly will damage my hair(mechanical damage). I can only heat style my hair once every 6 weeks for trims. If I am forced to do it at home (thanks Covid-19 for closing the salons. Not.) then I use a lot of leave in conditioner and a lot of heat protectant on freshly shampooed, protein treated and moisture deep conditioned hair. I also flat iron on the lowest setting it takes to get my hair straight enough for a trim. I don't need it bone straight. Then within 24 hours my hair is allowed to revert when I do my daily moisturising routine. You have to know how much heat your hair can handle and how to properly use heat tools. If dry, dirty or weak hair is flat ironed, it will get damaged. If hair is flat ironed at 451 F/232 C, it will burn /melt. If the flat iron is held in one place too long or too tight or repeatedly in one place, there will be damage. A lot of people putting heat on their hair at home gave no idea what they are doing when they pick up a flat iron I regret to say neither do a lot of "stylists".

When I stopped wearing wigs except for once or twice a month, my already thick edges grew thicker! I was shook. I didn't think they could get thicker! I didn't even wear lace fronts, just bangs and closures. It was my trichologists who suggested it so I decided to experiment for 6 weeks with no wigs to see what would happen. 6 weeks with zero tension on my edges (no braids, cornrows, puffs or ponytails) and zero edge control/styling product. Just shampoo, deep conditioner, leave in conditioner and scalp massage. I recommend that to anyone with struggle edges.

As long no permanent damage had been done; leaving the edges free from EVERYTHING allows them to do what these techniques are hindering hair from doing naturally, Growing!!!!😳 I just wonder if a lot of SistaZ REALLY are unaware of the potential for damage these “Edge-stressing” techniques come with?

The style is beautiful but I thought the purpose of shaving her head initially was because her hair became damaged. Unless this process is going to be done once in a blue moon, applying heat to the hair will put her back in the same boat in the next 2-5 years.
I think she removed chemicals from her hair.
@@shacelinegoode9896 chemical damage and heat damage creates the same results...thinning hair, split ends and hair breakage. Natural hair doesn't automatically mean healthy hair, we gotta take of the natural hair too which means limited to no heat.

@@melissaruffin9708 some Naturals can get away with weekly, fortnightly and monthly flat irons. I am not one of those Naturals. I have ultra-fine hair that is extremely prone to breakage. One week in the sun is enough to damage my hair(UVdamage) . Twisting my scarf in the same place tightly will damage my hair(mechanical damage). I can only heat style my hair once every 6 weeks for trims. If I am forced to do it at home (thanks Covid-19 for closing the salons. Not.) then I use a lot of leave in conditioner and a lot of heat protectant on freshly shampooed, protein treated and moisture deep conditioned hair. I also flat iron on the lowest setting it takes to get my hair straight enough for a trim. I don't need it bone straight. Then within 24 hours my hair is allowed to revert when I do my daily moisturising routine. You have to know how much heat your hair can handle and how to properly use heat tools. If dry, dirty or weak hair is flat ironed, it will get damaged. If hair is flat ironed at 451 F/232 C, it will burn /melt. If the flat iron is held in one place too long or too tight or repeatedly in one place, there will be damage. A lot of people putting heat on their hair at home gave no idea what they are doing when they pick up a flat iron I regret to say neither do a lot of "stylists".

Style looks good! She should consider trying some headband wigs to give her edges a break from lacefront wigs ❤
When I stopped wearing wigs except for once or twice a month, my already thick edges grew thicker! I was shook. I didn't think they could get thicker! I didn't even wear lace fronts, just bangs and closures. It was my trichologists who suggested it so I decided to experiment for 6 weeks with no wigs to see what would happen. 6 weeks with zero tension on my edges (no braids, cornrows, puffs or ponytails) and zero edge control/styling product. Just shampoo, deep conditioner, leave in conditioner and scalp massage. I recommend that to anyone with struggle edges.

@@NinaBaby210 I never lost my edges before. People think that they can lay their edges every day and apply some magical edge oil/serum and their edges will magical grow back thick. Not to mention the current obssession with wigs. I work with people that I've never seen their regular hair for YEARS!
i have never had lace front on my edges its always been on my forehead. Dont let anyone put lace glue on your edges.
