Still can’t help my tears. How these sounds, these emotions could be so deep! I’m so thrilled to know Alexander will play this piece again in 2024. Can’t wait for it!
His playing and skill are so mature, clear, and wonderful. It's rare to see a very young pianist able to interpret pieces with pure emotions. This one's perfectly unique. I hope he succeeds hugely in the future.
" .... and a little child shall lead them." said the good Book! Let us not fail to recognise that this performance is a prize of unequalled value, wholly unfettered by the constraints of adult ways - with the uniquely profound insights and joyous abandon of a true music-maker.We should not be thinking about what Alexander is NOT, or even what he WILL BE, but receiving what he IS; for it will never be repeated.
Remarkable that such a young individual can get such a range of sonorities from the piano. More remarkable is that his technical skills and musicianship are already at a an astonishing level. THE leading piano genius of his generation - already! I look forward so much to hearing more - and I am sure there will be a great deal more.

Chopinzee613--Salon-Style Classical Piano His beautiful playing here is way beyond “talented kid” and it’s certainly a rare thrill to hear such genuinely passionate playing from such a young player. Yes, this piece is not among the most difficult piece ever written, but the Rachmaninoff 3rd piano concerto IS, and he absolutely nails that piece with Maestro Botinis, recorded in 2018.
Jeffrey Miller agree, this performance of especially No. 4 is on a whole other level than all the cHiLd pRoDiGiEs. They play the correct notes, but Alexander Malofeev FEELS the music

@@jonesnemeth9498 you're right -- there are a number of flaws, but not very many at all. Some of it is due to poor audio, too.
