The owner of this piece is definetely Gavrilov. Not only because if the high precision and technique level but because of the textures of sound that he creates
@@felixmladenov5428 yes i know it and i really find it extremely powerful, but it s just that I really enjoy Gavrilov more... U know probably i was wrong. For me the owner of this piece is Andrei Gavrilov.
Absolutely I came here only knowing 4 and wanting to hear no 4, but I got stopped in my tracks by No 1 tranced in fact. With me starting to learn composing i’m noticing the gap that’s just massive of pure deliberate progression in a piece between Actual composers and me. Although I can make decent melodies and harmony it makes no sense in the grand scheme. But Rach makes it make sense.
I personally like No 1 the most because it has everything, slow lyrical and technical and fast and explosive. I think No 1 is the most underrated and least commonly played of Rachmaninoff Moment Musicals.
One of the few artists where the technical mastery of the instrument is secondary to his creative, instinctual, gift of conveying musical communication.

I am working on number 1 and now mber 4 currently This musical performance is so inspiring. Thank you Nikolai Luganskiy for a wonderful performance. I love how moment musicaux number 1 switches keys, and sort of reminds you if a Russian folk song played on gusli
@@cowboytim9882 Great choices! For me, I don't have any particular list. But I feel a strange yet strong connection with Gould. Barenboim is indispensable to me. For Chopin, I tend to like Ohlssohn, Pollini and Zimerman. I consider Uchida absolutely marvelous. Pogorelich is a great choice too (although his older recordings have more stamina). And the Jussen brothers are surprisingly jaw-opening (see their live recording for Poulenc's Concerto or Stravinsky's Rite of Spring). Well, there you go; I made a list too.
#6 paints an image in my head of a man with a huge spirit who has to traverse this cruel earth without it crushing his spirit. And the burts of A section are him fighting back against the modern world, loss of passion, succumbing to the ordinary and rising above the mundane to achieve his full human potential and raise his fellow man and woman to their's as well.
I love this set of classical music. It is spell-binding indeed. Hopefully, I will have a chance to see and witness the richness of Lugansky's performances in the near future.
Saying a lot of this with just the keys, amazin piano álbum of Rachmaninof with a superb touch, inspiring and brearhrtaking. This music should be enjoyed by everything, I hope one it could happen.
I was impressed by the entry of NO.5 after NO.4. I am happy that I was able to taste the moment when "emoi" in Japanese, that is, emotionalness was condensed.
Best ever, can't top this performance! On No. 6, Maestoso, always makes me cringe on overtones of final very low note, but this time Lugansky hit it just right! Piano tuning issue...

Wow. He's still the official owner of No 4
Exactly what I thought! Watching No. 4 I was like: yup he still got it
He is rather the official owner of the whole Rachmaninovian œuvre.

Like he is not even trying, fluent and masterful.
Quite a performance.
4 is a thrill ride, and 5 is beautiful in its simplicity, but I think my favorite is 1, for the beautiful ways in which the theme is transformed.

I love the people that appreciate this type of music! I have deep respect to everyone that does!
Sadly too less, I can't understand how someone can not like classic music..
I'm one of them. More appropriately, I love it.
Always amazes me how the great pianists make it look so easy.
Relaxed posture mostly. Russian school of playing often relies on the extreme looseness

Lugansky has it ALL. Each piece is thrilling journey. When you just want to listen again an again…. What more is there? Breathtaking!
Everyone talking about No. 4, but guys, No. 3 is also as beautiful!

OMG no.6 made me cry. crazily beautiful
Rachmaninoff: unfairly ungodly talented
Debunks the myth 'all men are created equal'.

Unfairly gifted! What twisted thinking arrived at that conclusion?
No 3 is so profound and I think Lugansky did a great job! Love it!
Years pass and he's still the best 😭

Authoritative. Lyrical. Well-shaped, convincing performances. This is why Lugansky is in my "Group of Seven" top pianists!

I like your interpretation.
Essentially what Rachmaninov faced from his critics who wanted a more contemporary style.
I also picture some abstract sense of final victory and exuberance
I'd like to imagine that's me lol
I agree! It’s like someone beginning to set sail across the ocean
Stunning pieces... Breathtaking Performance 👏 👏

Quelle interpretation grandiose:-))) bravo
I LIKE LUGANSKY SO MUCH!!!!😍
Kongeniale Wiedergabe. Ich sage tiefen Dank.
That's hard not to love... such lucidity before a live audience.
One of the most marvelous compositions by this wonderful composer, played so sensitively and, at the same time powerfully, by Ivan Sharikov.
