I'm a physical therapist and what mitch says about back injures was completly on ghe money graded pain and sport related exposure usvthe way to go it wil be 5 ir 6 out of ten on the pain scale but suffer through it and you'll actually get better

I believe powerlifting could trace back came to silver era bodybuilding. I believe the squat Bench and deadlift were all created by bronze-silver era's that balanced the bridge between all aspects of modern lifting (bodybuilding, strongman, general strength, powerlifting ,calisthenics) but prior to distinct categories. I believe they were invented as foundational exercises at least bench and squat, for physical development of the muscles.
As a strongman myself (not like eddie hall or brian shaw) i must say jessie did pretty dang good for someone who is not a mountain of a man and for someone who doesn't specialize in all of our different kinds of workouts
