@@fridayrandommedia117 as someone who grew up poor, giving up partying and drinking has never been an issue, but I can understand it can prove to be extremely hard to give up when you first get used to it!
So cool you gave Ryan $1,000 as well too. They both worked super hard and really gave their all. I hope whatever Robby is going through that he overcomes it. He should be proud of the work he put in. His resilience definitely shined through.
Life getting in the way is so real! I was getting into a routine with the gym at the start of the year, then my sister got diagnosed with cancer. It took me 6 months of on and off gym going, to now finally be back in a routine! It doesn’t matter how long it takes to get back to it, as long as you do.
This just exemplifies why a coach with an attitude of encouragement and willingness to challenge their client is important. Coaching like this is expensive and having the time and energy as you can tell took sacrifice. It isn’t sustainable for a long term but great to get a goal weight and then maintain
feeling for Robby. i think it's a lil deeper than not getting to go hang out with friends. I hope he can look back on this experience & feel the happiness he deserves & moving forward. also stoked for Ryan proposing!! his personality is golden. this was such a great video Jessie ♥
Hey, I don't think it's fair to say they've never trained. They both did great on the bench press, and the 100kg bench is kinda sus for supposedly untrained individual
Robby my man. Very well deserved. I've been both a videographer and an editor. Ryan had somewhat easy. Where he's in his house, he's in a controlled environment and he can eat well nutritiened healthy meals. Whereas Robby had to workout, eat whatever was available to him at the moment and also walking, handling equipment because his job required him to travel a lot. So again, Robby very well deserved. 🎉
You could do a similar challenge with a person starting skinny and one starting fat and see who achieves most progress because it's a big debate in fitness on who achieves gains easier, the skinny guy or the chubby one.
Great video. Great work by both. Fair play to Robby for sticking with it when hit with that mental block and depression. Even when you're bettering yourself everyday your brain can still hijack you and undermine you and try and take it all away. That's probably the hardest part, keep battling Robby
Bro alot of respect for both and alot of respect for the honesty, It's amazing to see that people gothrow that depressive face while at gym aswell because after you get throw it, you are gonna get back so much more stronger mentally

I trained for 3 years before I could hit 225 lol. Thing is, after year three I started JUMPING by 30 40 pounds every few months. I trained like a bodybuilder, but I was able to crush powerlifters. Where you start has nothing to do with where you finish.
