Used one my last year playing football in university in 2019, definitely noticed a difference. I use to see stars alot when tackling but the collar made that a non issue.
The founder of this company gave a seminar speech at my university!!! Like years ago, way before it was a thing! Apparently he was originally contracted by the US government (who would’ve thought). I think they got there idea from wood peckers and goats…
Ali express gonna have knockoffs in no time for $14
The Product is already a knockoff. The shit cant stop you from getting a concussion is a SCAM a money Grab
Lmao and wish.
Thanks for explaining the mechanism. I was wonder about that
Woah, that high school stat is crazy!
I put one on my dog, my wife calls it a collar, it does work, he has yet to have a concussion wearing it.
Now I know what Team USA was wearing around there necks last week during The World Junior Ice Hockey Championship. Thanks for the video.
Man love your vids bro
Last night was the first time I noticed players wearing them. I’ve been saying for a long time that hockey players need to wear a protective collar to protect their necks from someone’s skate blades (there have been deaths on the ice from players getting cut and bleeding to death). It looks like with a little tweaking, this could kill two birds with one stone.
My son is a Dlineman for UNLV he started wearing one 4 games into the season and he did notice a difference but the only down side is he had 2 small bruises on his neck !!
Placebo
Lol those aren’t bruises
Cool vid, appreciate the info. Did you make a video on the studies themselves? Were there any adverse effects at all from people wearing the q-collar? Or what would be potential risks from wearing the collar ?
I’m really considering buying one, thanks
Unless they made little miniature helmets for mice, I don’t think I wanna know how they tested this on them… 😂
Correct. Sounds like they beat animals over the head in heavily biased studies
@@NickzAndMikz 🤣🤣🤣🤣
They put them in rc cars and put them in crash tests lmao
@@Casualfan101 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I'm grateful for the explanation of this. I probably noticed it the most on Pollard.
It's doing what really needs to be done: cushioning the brain.
Because there's so much money in college and professional football I believe one day someone may be bold enough/crazy enough to develop a substance players can inject into their skull to "protect" their brains.
Seems far fetched, but...football is big business. Ha!
It isn't doing a thing
Great video!
Thoughts on use of these for linemen in game/padded practices?
I don't know about you, but as a lineman I never took hard hits as a 1T DT.
@@c.j.1089 I’m not asking so much for the extreme hits but rather the constant contact, for me I’m more interested in what this does for a lower level impact, but consistent to most if not all plays in the trenches.
I wonder if this would help people who are at risk for stroke. I don’t know why I was thinking about this while watching the video
Sick if I had the money I would definitely get some
That’s awesome!!!!
I’ve been wanting to know wtf that was on their necks🤯 that’s dope
Very smart. Simple yet effective. According to their research and anecdotal evidence, it works. NFL will throw so much money and support behind it eventually. Heard this was made in Westport CT
wish i couldve gotten this while i was playing as oline/dline from ages 8-18.
As a panthers fan I remember seeing Luke Kuechly wear something similar when he was playing.
Does anyone know what tights/compression pants a lot of the NFL players are wearing this year?
Nike
What gloves devonta smith wear? I want to buy those black ones he’s been rocking
Scatback accessory 🌊
where do i get a turtle/mock neck that everyone is wearing?
I wouldn’t think slowing blood return from the head would affect CSF volume that much, the CSF is the cushion not blood
Exactly. It is not doing anything.
I believe that its a great innovation but at 200 dollars it costs way too much for the average consumer
100% My hope is that is the lowest they can charge to keep performance
$200 to help save your brain.. yeah that's too much..
That’s debatable. Depending on the type of athlete it can be pretty expensive but for players that are playing at the next level it’s definitely worth considering
@@deceivingthedeceiver it’s is to much 😭200 yes people don’t got enough money
200 is literally less than a helmet If these actually work teams will probably just buy them
yo can you guys please review the new Nike Vapor Edge Speed 360 2
good video but question how is the nfls q collars white?
they more than likely put one of the sleeves over it
Whole time I thought they were neck headphones so they could listen to music during the game😂
Lmaooo
I see them all over NFL and concussions way down this year.
Tua needs one of these...
y'all need like 1/4 upper arm sleaves, i can't find any of those mainstream
I was wondering what that was.
I am thinking about getting one
Lol i thought it was some evolved neck roll
can you do what players wear tj watt ?
How do you fell about the colts vs vikings game
Dawg I don’t play for them I’m just a fan 😂 a sad sad fan…
@@Footballrs I know I didn't mean that you play for them
You can’t keep the brain from sloshing around in your cranium during a hit !!
Where can I get a compression shirt with a turtle neck
have u tried looking up compression turtle neck
@@reposts1 haha
Thrift store
WAT IS THAT LONG PIECE OF WHITE TOWEL DEVONTE ADAMS WEAR DURING GAME DAY .
What happened to grip boost gel
Sooo they out here testing mice and pig’s giving them concussions I done smh
Not much different from animal slaughter, but yes
But is it good for youth sports ? Like youth football player ?
Easy buy for my son
Sounds like a great innovation. Would there by chance be a stock associated with this investment?
You should try learning english
This will create scars in the vessels from increased pressure. Like high blood pressure does. Don't mess with your bodies natural functions.
That’s what I was thinking increase risk of aneurysm
In high school we used to wear nike headsweatbands around our necks and guys with bigger necks would put one of those plastic headbands that girls used to keep their hair back (they look almost exactly like the Q collar) inside them. Maybe I should have kept wearing it instead of the Douglas neck roll I used in college.
That sounds rediculous
@@joeyp1028 I agree, even for the time. The reasons for wearing them probably makes it even more so.
This seems like a good invention- I hope it becomes drip in the next few years for the sake of our heads
Becomes drip? Is that ebonics?
thumbs up bro
What if you’re the guy that gives concussions, not takes them? Can I just rip these off my opponents neck?
How come he doesn’t mention that lacrosse was the big stepping stone for this product
Because….just because
Because this is a football channel
The data on these collars is sketchy at best
I’m just imaging tiny ones for mice
Now imagine them hitting the mice in the head.
Swag should never be talked about when it comes to safety. Massive L for that
I think they can do exist
Just two year late notice for me
So you mean wear a tie?
the nfl are gonna make these mandatory equipment
Oh no they are not. This is rubbish.
@@cjr1881 it's not rubbish if it works
As someone with 13 recorded concussions I wish this existed a decade ago. Fml.
jeez one more head bonk and ur done brother
Nah
This would not have ever saved you because concussions are whats gonna happen NO MATTER WHAT when it comes to FOOTBALL. This is not flag football or two hand touch for a reason
What’s a joke about NFL players is they say we’ll these helmets don’t keep us from getting Concussions but then they don’t even wear there helmet correctly. These helmets they wear are so loose that they just fall off when they barely get hit which makes the helmet just jar around & then there chin strap is so loose that they pull their helmets off without even unbuttoning it.💯
The only issue I see with young kids getting it, is most of the time if parents get it for there freshman, how well will it work by the time they are seniors? They may end up having to buy another one between there junior and senior years, do to body growth.
Yeah. Imagine how many pairs of sneakers they have to buy too. Damn kids won't stop growing.
I loved this review and data. Please don't support Nike, try Under Armour if possible. Thanks.
Lol they just put those on mice and pigs and just started bashing them?
😂😂😂
Didn’t Luke Keuchly retire because he had too many concussions?
Yes
Why isn’t tua using this, he needs it the most outta anyone
Know one probably suggested it to him probably.
This is rubbish and he is done
You can wear safety helmets to protect yourselves 😊
Would be good too for people in the military before suffering a blast from an IED and getting a TBI
No
Yah we didn’t talk about it but on their website they have a large military contract
Why don't they address it more during broadcasts of games?
Because it is rubbish
Because if they give free advertisements it hurts business
Waaaaayyy overpriced. There aren't any expensive materials used, it isn't made in the usa. Price isn't justified.
Think about all the money that went into all the testing over the past 5+ years ..
@@Footballrs yeah I know but 100 would be way more justifiable
It’s not that expensive when you think abt what it does. As someone who’s gonna play in college I’m definitely getting one
@@masons4933 I know it's great and that's why you can't really complain.
What if ur neck grows
legal in highschool?
Yes
There is no way that works.
Overpriced as hell, if they really cared about minimizing head trauma they wouldn't charge 200 dollars for something that probably costs them 3 bucks to make
First
Nah this ain't it. I think the solution is still in the design of helmets
190 usd is insane
Luke Kuechkly was the 1st to wear one right?
Correct
I wore one all season took a game or two to get used to it being around my neck but after that I would forget I had it on #QCollar
Had the wrong size then and it doesn't do anything anyway.
@@cjr1881 well speak for yourself… I support it and love using it
🤦♂🤦♂🤣🤣GTFOH !!!!
